Twin Day

December 16th was Twin day at the kids school.  The kids always love to dress up for twin day.  Brandon was twins with his friend Ethan, Kenyon was twins with his best friend Alex and Shaylee was twins with her friend Natalie.  I got pictures of Kenyon and Shay since they walk to school with their "twins", but I didn't go to the school and get a picture of B with his twin.  Lame mom, I know!

Preschool Christmas Pageant

On December 15th, Jaron had his Christmas pageant for Children's World of Music.  This is our sixth Christmas pageant at CWofM an I have loved it every time.  Jaron was our little angel up there and he did such a great job.  I was really worried about him because he is so shy and such a momma's boy, I wasn't sure how he would do up on the stage, but he did so great!  I was a proud mama that night!

Christmas Dance Recital

On Brandon's birthday, Shaylee had her Christmas dance recital.  She did awesome and I have definitely seen improvement her dancing this year.  She is a very cute ballerina.

Brandon's 11th Birthday

I will catch up on my blog.... I will catch up on my blog.... This is my mantra right now!

On December 12th my baby boy, my first born, turned... (gulp)  ELEVEN!!!!  EEEEKKKK!  Before you know it, he will be driving, graduating high school, going on a mission (cry), getting married, and having his own babies.... oh dear,  how did this happen?

He had a good birthday,  we went out to dinner had an ice cream cake and presents of course!  Brandon loves to celebrate anything.  He takes great joy in every holiday, celebration, or family outing.  Brandon's big present for his birthday was the Fablehaven series.  He is a big reader and loved the Candy shop Wars, so we knew he would enjoy this series.

A few things about Brandon at 11:

He is an awesome big brother and does a great job babysitting and taking care of his younger siblings
I adore Brandon's energy for life.
Brandon loves the Wii and is always trying to get me to let him play whenever possible.  He loves Mario Kart and is very good at it.
Brandon is a talker... he can talk, and talk, and talk and talk...
Brandon has a natural sweetness about him.  He is kind to everyone and has a very soft heart.
He tries to make my life easier by helping me out whenever he can.
He is the perfect oldest child and I love him!

Brandon's Birthday Party

On December 10th Brandon had his birthday party for his eleventh birthday.  He wanted to have a Mario Kart party and a late over.  He invited a few friends and they had a Mario Kart tournament.  Brandon won the tournament and he loved every moment of beating all of his friends and his brother. After the tournament they ate cupcakes opened presents and then watched Speed Racer.  I made him Luigi and Mario cupcakes and they turned out pretty cute.  The kids had a great time!  Happy Birthday B!

Putting up our Christmas Tree

Putting up our Christmas tree is a family event...  Pete puts up the tree, I fix the lights and string the garland, and the kids put the ornaments on the tree.  I have to admit I do redecorate the tree after they are done and have gone to bed.  I am a little bit obsessed with my tree not being clumpy!  We had a great time making our tree beautiful this year.

I didn't get a picture of the final product.  It was a beautifully decorated tree this year.  The kids are definitely getting better at decorating the tree and they love doing it.

Our last days with CIndy Lou Who

On Black Friday, Cindy and I went shopping!  It was so much fun to be able to shop til I dropped with my sister, I loved it.  I do love shopping and Cindy is my favorite shopping partner, so to have her here for Black Friday was AWESOME!!!  Thanks for a great time, Cind!

On Saturday, we went shopping again, but this time with our families.  We went to Washington Square Mall and scored some great deals at my two favorite stores- Gymboree and Crazy 8.  Then we went to the temple and out to eat.  We got some cute pictures of the munchkins at the temple.

Cindy and Nate then headed to Gina's for Saturday night and Sunday.  Sunday night they came back to our house, for one last night and then they headed home on Monday morning.  I was so sad to see them go, but hope they come visit us again soon.
