The weather guys were right, nothing but grey skies ahead.. at least for the next few days. In the city for an early morning appointment yesterday we swung by Kings Park for breakfast and to take in the view. Even with my 9-18mm wide angle lens I can't get the city and both sides of the Swan River in the frame.. that's when I remembered the fish-eye lens and hey presto we have a city to South Perth view. Will take this shot again when the sky has a bit of oomph to it 🌞 Below heading back into the city later in the day.. even more grey. The smell of rain after a long dry spell should be bottled.. le parfum de la pluie, so gorgeous. Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
A moody sky. We have clear skies today, which we need. A few days of no rain, considering that water levels are still high.
ReplyDeleteI like that first shot. WE are experiencing similar weather here. A few days of dismal cloudiness.
ReplyDelete...you appreciate the blue skies more when they return
ReplyDeleteThe fish-eye worked well, Grace! We have sunny skies and +23˚C today - hurray!
ReplyDeleteOur sky is just like yours today.
ReplyDeleteNice job using your fisheye lens. Nothing better than the smell of rain after a long dry spell!!
ReplyDeleteSame weather here, different view.
ReplyDeleteThe fish eye view is beautiful. We too waiting eagerly for the rains.
ReplyDeleteLooks like pollution in the sky in the last photo. Surely not in Perth. Must be just fog.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those people who just loves the rain especially at night, makes you feel all cosy and snug.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the smell of rain after a sunny day, Grace!
ReplyDeleteAnd the view (Idiot dercy lyne above spammed me, too, also in previous posts in one catch).
And I go with Amy, too! :-)
I don't see often those grey skies in your place, glad we have the blue ones now :)
ReplyDeleteO yes love that smell of wet streets after a sunny day.
ReplyDeleteBelas panorâmicas.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

That is one thing I adore....the smell of rain over a dry desert. Enjoy your rain.
ReplyDeleteI love a grey rainy day. Much more enjoyable than the hot, steamy, 38C humidity that we usually get at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteThose grey skies are rare for your photos, Grace.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is very odd. June and it is supposed to be summer here, I am walking around the house with a sweater on complaining that I am cold!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day Diane
A shame rain comes with grey days but it is hard not to welcome rain. Hope the rain doesn't make it too cold.
ReplyDeleteAh the smell!
