THREE OCCASION WITH PEEK A BOO STYLE

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you some cards for three different occasions. My first card is for Christmas! Take a look at my card:

I created this card using the Beaded Stencil with three different colors of green classic Ink applied with a brush. This technique offered me a soft texture on the paper and different intensities of the color. I cut this layer using the big Stitched Dual Rectangle Die Cut.

Do you recognize the word love?
It is part of the new Shaker Love Die Cut. I just used the negative part and cut the word to use it as sentiment. I cut it on red glimmer paper to have a great contrast with my background and coordinate it with the holly leaves that I made using Makin's Clay Push Molds. To finalize the decoration I added some red and green sequins and pasted the decorated layer in an angle over a real red card base. The size of my card is 4-1/4"x5-1/2" closed.

My second card is a friendship card that I made using the stamp set Feather and a masking technique.

On this card I used three different colors of classic ink, Daffodil Delight, Sahara Sand and Early Espresso. I pasted a post it tape across the Very Vanilla layer to create the masking area and then I stamped the three small feathers of the set using different colors of ink.  I removed the post it tape and stamped the sentiment on the central area.

I resized the layer and added a tiny early espresso border on the left side before pasting the stamped layer over a Hello Honey card base. As a final touch I added three sequins, one copper, one silver and one gold.

My last card is an inspirational card. I created this using the stamp set Magical Fairies combined with Delicata Metallic Ink and Embossing.

First, I created the background using the bold stripe line of the stamp set It's Plaid Time, stamped with Celestial Copper Delicata Ink. Then I stamped one of the Magical Fairies with VersaMark and covered it with Vintage Plum Embossing Powder and cut a Circle Scallop Stitched Frame using the small size of the Scalloped Circle Die Cuts and pasted it with dimensionals. Also I stamped the sentiment using the same ink and embossing powder.

As a final touch I added some copper sequins and pasted the decorated layer over the Rich Razzleberry card base. The size of my card is 4-1/4"x5-1/2" closed.

Cards using October release

Hello Friends Pooja here with second batch of inspirations for this month. I have gone soft and subtle with first card. The background is created using beaded Stencil and layered stitched bubble die-cut over it.

The butterflies are from Doodled Butterfly set and so is the sentiment.

For my next card I used the negative of fern flourish die (By now you must have known I love using negative of die-cuts more than the positives).

Its a clear shaker card. I have stitched two acetate sheets together with some sequins sandwiched between them. You can see some the sequins inside the ferns in this picture

Third and the final card for October is simplest.Created the texture by applying texture paste through abstract triangles stencil.

I wanted all the focus to be on fern die-cut so kept the design very clean. The sentiment is from Stringy text set.

I hope you enjoyed the post and loved my cards .

October challenge inspiration with Swapna

Hi.. Crafty friends..

Swapna here, today I have 3 cards to share using October release. The release is just awesome. It has product for everyone. Hope you are playing along with our fun filled October challenge. My cards are based on the October challenge theme. Lets just dive in my post.

Card #1

** Used number die cuts n made the background by gluing them in random pattern on a black card panel.
** Die cut number 1 & st with red glitter foam.
** Heat embossed sentiment with white embossing powder.
** Foam mounted panel towards top of card base.
** Glued glitter foam pieces in place to finish the card.

Here is close up of glitter foam the number background.

Card #2

** This is my first attempt in colouring on vellum.
** I stamped & gold heat embossed the image on vellum.
** Used few copics to colour it on back (many have said that colouring directly on heat embossed image will damage copic nibs).
** I didn't feel like taking risk with glueing vellum on card front. So i left 1/2" towards top so that i can fold and glue it behind.
** Heat embossed sentiment with gold embossing powder.
** Added few enamel dots to the card.

Here is close up sentiment and the the coloured flowers.

Card #3

** This was the card which i made when i was struggling with ideas.
** I secured card base n stencil and applied embossing paste.  Left it to dry of its own.
** Sprayed gold shimmer mist from ranger.
** Gold heat embossed two butter flies and fussy cut them out.
** Coloured one butterfly with copics (carefully) and few strokes with gold marker. Glued it on other plain butterfly.
** Heat embossed sentiment on vellum n sandwiched it between two scalloped circles.
** Placed sentiment n butterfly with liquid glue.
** To finish the card added few clear stones towards top n 3 more on butterfly's body.

Here is closeup of butterfly n gold shimmer mist.
