Sunila and Aditi- GDT Part 2

Hello everyone,

Sunila and Aditi here and we're back with a few more projects to inspire you all :)!

Today for our first project, we've created a set of two Artist Trading Cards. Here's a look at them. We really had fun creating these. We first die cut two pieces of cardstock with the ticket die. Next, we stamped a few images with black ink from the Blotchy Stamp Set. We then used a stencil and went around with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed it. Next, we used another stencil with lighter tones of distress inks. We then stamped the blotchy flower for our focal image and layers it with gauge, flowers and pollen. We completed the cards with some motivational words.

Our second project is a CAS Card. We used washi tape for the border. Die cut the smallest ticket die, and stamped our sentiment, and our focal element is watercoloured with distress inks. We layered it all and completed it with some enamel dots.

Our last project is a two-page journal spread. We had fun playing in our journal clearly and worked on our background the most. We've used Washi, stamps, Stencils and just played around!

We hope that we've inspired you and got your creative juices flowing!
Thank you Vidushi for this opportunity, we've had fun creating these projects!

Happy Crafting!

CAS INSPIRATION WITH STENCILS AND BUTTERFLIES

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a selection of CAS cards that I made using stencils and butterflies. I love to combine die cuts and stamps in my cards, and Peek a Boo has all these elements in our store.

My first card is a Christmas card that I made using a masking technique with stencils.

I used the Grid Stencil and created three pines on it with masking tape. I inked it over the card stock using different colors of Classic Ink. I used Old Olive, Wild Wasabi and Garden Green.

To complement the decoration of the card I cut the Celebrate word on the same color of the card base, real red card stock  and tied two loops of natural Thick Twine with a red button on top. Then I pasted the decorated layer over the card base using dimensionals.

On  my second card I used the same stencil, the Grid with Gold Texture Paste.

The base of the card is Real Red and the decorated layer is Very Vanilla. I cut the Heart Butterfly in textured red card stock and paste over the gold grid. Then I stamped one of the sentiments included on the Doodle Buttefly stamp set using Versafine Onix.

The third card is using distress ink and Versafine ink with the stamp set Doodle Butterfly.

The base of this card is Melon Mambo and the stamped layer is Whisper White. I created an angle area to ink this with three different colors of distress ink and stamped partially the bold butterfly included on the stamp Doodle Butterfly.

The colors of distress ink that I used were Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. The butterflies and sentiment were stamped with Versafine Onix and I just added a few details of Crystal Drops  in color Apple Green.

The size of all my cards is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2".

These are the products that I used on today cards:

Inspirations for Challenge # 12

Hello friends Hope you all had great Diwali Celebration ! Pooja here with inspiration for Current Challenge.Which has this wonderful photo as inspiration.

For my first card I used the Hearts Butterfly die-cut released last month.

I loved the colors in the challenge photo so much that I used all of them on this card.Started by applying texture paste through Grid stencil on the cardbase.I was inspired by my teammate Swapna's card while creating the water-colored panel.

Heat embossed the  butterfly die-cut and placed it in a glittery frame and finished off with few enamel dots .The sentiment is from Stringy Text.

On this card I combined three colors from the photo with the Floral Blooms stamp set.A glittered Stitched scallop rectangle frame to jazz up the card .

Heat embossed the sentiment from Floral Fantasy on vellum and finished off with few sequins.

Thank you cards, sending happy mail with Swapna

Hi.. Crafty friends...

Here I am with my second DT post. To be frank I really struggled and liked the process of these 3 cards. At the end I am pretty happy with my cards.

I hope you are playing along with our October challenge which is a recipe. Please do read Guidelines carefully before linking your project.

Card #1
** First card is inspiration for our october challenge.
** I masked the card base (1"around the card base), placed the stencil diagonally on the base and secured with masking tape.
** I mixed candid apple distress ink with texture paste, applied it through stencil. Left it dry on its own.
** Die cut the scalloped frame (bigger) with same CS, few vellum fern flourishes and one white fern flourish.
** I double heat embossed the CS fern flourish with gold embossing powder to give it dimension. Die cut few Thank you, adhered them together and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
** To assemble the card, I foam mounted the frame on card base around the stencilled area. I put silver embroidery floss on top of which glued ferns. Added the sentiment.

Here is a close up of die cut embellishments, just love this texture of white embossing powder.

Card #2

** This was real fun to make. I just kept die cutting stitched bubble die.
** Used distress inks in blue range to blend over them.
** I stamped the image towards bottom and coloured with Staedler water colour pencils.
** Stamped sentiment with black ink.
** Used stitched rectangle die to die cut these panels.
** I glued these panels with liquid glue leaving little space in between.

Here is a closer look of die cut

Card #3

** This is water colour card. I stamped the flourish image with versa mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
** Used zig markers to colour flowers and leaves.
** Die cut the panel and foam mounted it on a grey CS.
** For sentiment, I die cut 2 times with grey CS and once with water colour paper.
** I used Zig marker to add shade to the die cut sentiment.
** Added few sequins.
