Summer

Hi everyone.I have one last page for Art Journal Journey and Matilde's 'All About Numbers' theme.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this theme as much as I have......I used to hate Maths when I was at school....but I have so many stamps that include numbers that I do at least like numbers now!

Thanks Matilde for hosting and your inspiring pages and lovely comments.

I have used one of my favourite stamp sets for this page - it is a Paper Artsy Hot Pick set, and I am showing you for no other reason than to show you the different stamps it includes. I did consider using the quote but decided that the page was enough without it.

The background was a stencil clean up - I had used it to make a page and then spritzed it with water and pressed it over the page dabbing as I went along.
The main image was stamped, then I used the number stamp around it. I added the butterfly then coloured the flower and butterfly with the same colours and added a green border with another Paper Artsy stamp by Jo Firth-Young.

This is another scheduled post - I hope that by now I have managed to visit some of you.

Next month's host is all set to inspire and ....no clues, except that I am looking forward it.

Thanks for looking, Chris

Don't check your eyesight

Hi everyone, I have a new entry for Matilde's Art Journal Journey theme - 'All About Numbers'

A few weeks ago I went with two friends to a Makers Market. One of the stall holders makes beautiful leather journals as well as selling a fantastic range of washitape and other items. I have bought one or two (ahem!) items from time to time. This time I bought a tiny journal.

I decided to use some of my washi tape mountain to make my pages. These are my first two pages.
My next page was based on something I saw in Kay's own journal- owls cut from washitape to make a whole group of owls (she had used cats)
By now making washitape pages was becoming addictive.
So I carried on!

I even started taking it out with me - along with washitape of course.
These pages were done while waiting for hubby at the doctors.
Here it is resting on top of my bag.

I was home when I made this so added a small stamp to the right hand page

This is the little journal balanced on top of a roll of washitape.

Some of my pages have some tape on that contain numbers so I am hoping that this is a suitable entry for Art Journal Journey.

Thanks for looking, Chris

Rules to live by

Hi everyone, we are dashing around a little bit at the moment and this will be a scheduled post.

Hi everyone, I love Spring flowers - I think it is because after Winter they give us hope for some brighter days.
Tracy Evans who designs for Aall and Create designed this beautiful stamp, all I had to do was colour, add some stencilled hexagons and a sentiment

I am entering at Art Journal Journey where Matilde is hosting with her 'All About Numbers' theme.

This scheduled post.

Thanks for looking, Chris

Little bird

Hi everyone, we have a new theme at Try It On Tuesday - Birds and/or Feathers - and the Design Team have some beautiful samples to show you - please do take a look here

I made a journal page which started by being a clean off page for an inky stencil. I added some stamping of postmarks and numbers in shades green then stamped the Aall and Create Bipasha bird and coloured it in before cutting out with a small border. I added some cheesecloth to the little branch, stamped a few flowers around and added the sentiment. Finally I doodled in a border with a green pen.

I hope you will join us this time, there are a few rules here.
We're looking forward to seeing your 'Birds and/or Feathers' at Try it On Tuesday

I would also like to add this to Matilde's 'All About Numbers' at Art Journal Journey.

Thanks for looking, Chris

T Stands For The Parts I Didn't Show You

Hi everyone, this will be a short post as we are dashing around trying to make sure we have the things we need for our break and that includes all of the paper work and legal requirements for driving in France!

There are some Paris photos that are still unseen.

One afternoon we went to the Jardins du Palais Royale.

As you can see it was still coat weather but we found a sunny bench and did some people watching.

We also spotted this....
...so small we almost missed it!

We took a different exit out of the gardens

We also visited a couple of Passages, small galleries with lovely shops.

From here it was a short walk to Gallerie Vero Dodat

We didn't take many photos here and I suppose that says it all!

For my T Stands for Tuesday ticket I have a more recent photo, not of hubby - he kept pulling faces then took my phone from me and took this of me. It looks as though we are in a garden but if you look again you will see circles of frosted glass.
It was taken at a local garden centre where our coffee(mine a flat white and hubby's a Mocha) was served for free, courtesy of our loyalty card. We did add some extras though - a scone for me and a cheesecake for hubby.

All being well I'll be back in a few weeks when I hope I will have more luck leaving comments. My computer refuses to let me comment and the tablet is very slow as hubby has a lot of info and films on it!

Thanks for looking, Chris
