Blue-ish

I've been quite busy this week but when I saw that Hels Sunday Stamper challenge this week is "Blue" I was very happy! I started this tag the other week but then left it not knowing where I was going with it! Dug it out from the bottom of the pile and added some Stampendous Aged Aqua and Aged Ivory Frantage embossing powder around the Inkylicious stamp, stamped the Lost Coast Designs word stamp and then heat dried it so that some of the embossing powder came through to the top.
As you can see there is a greeny hue to this as it was done with a mixture of green and blue distress stains originally,so I hope it's blue enough! Two little Prima flowers which are attached using a stormy sky coloured brad are covering a very green part!!
Off on our travels tomorrow, NEC then off for a few days at our caravan-where I can play with any goodies that might happen to end up in my bag tomorrow LOL!
Thanks for looking, Chris

so not organised!!

There was I, April pages finished, May pages ready, photos taken, and then what happened? (see previous post)I have had a call and garageman he say - your clutch has gone missus. So, having been really careful with money last month because I have plans to go to Port Sunlight stampers show, I now need even more money than I probably saved to pay for said clutch.....darn!!!!
So here are my May pages ready
I used one of my favourite stamps from Stampendous along with some stencilled flowers and a Craft Stamper freebie and basically should have stopped stamping long before I did so I'm not especially happy with this, although I do like the colours. Journal spots were done by stamping onto my craft mat with distress inks and smooshing and spritzing, very therapeutic!
Here are my finished April pages, as you can see I've been quite busy, no wonder April went so quickly!!
Thanks to Kate at http://thekathrynwheel.blogspot.com/ for
the motivation to keep a 'diary', my boys are most impressed
that I've kept up with this and I hope they and my
grandchildren will enjoy reading them someday.

Thanks for looking, I didn't do so well getting to look many others last month so hope to make up for it this time, Chrisx

Can I first say "Thank You" for all the kind (and helpful) comments you've been making, I hope I'm getting the hang of this now:)

Having had a total blank on Day 1 of Tim's tags I began to think that maybe today would be the same but no!
I looked, I saw, and I had a go. Still didn't have any of the Tim stuff, but Crafty Individuals music stamp,Creative Expressions   swirl, Stampendous pine leaves and part of a  Greeting stamp in my Christmas box and here it is...
as you can see no bird but a snowflake dabbed with silver..... so, definitely pearshaped!!

Yesterday in my  blank mode I got to thinking about Paris, having looked at Sue Roddis's  pictures of my favourite place in Paris. We sometimes used to go around the end of the Autumn term if we broke up early enough. I really do love Paris at any time of the year but Christmas  shops in Paris are  spectacular. We haven't been for ages now, despite hints to hubby:(
Anyhow, here are the atc's I came up with.

I cut the Eifel Tower image from a Paper Artsy stamp and used papers that I've had for a while just waiting to be used,(on reflection I wish I'd torn some of the papers, but I don't think they look too bad)
I hope to take them to swap on Sunday, when I go to Dawn Bibby's for Lindsay's altered decoration workshop.

Thanks for looking,
Chrisx
