TRR #54 - Flower Cart

Hi all, it's time for a new challenge over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog! This fortnight, the inspiration has been chosen by Jeanne:

Jeanne asks that we use the colours in the photo plus ribbon and a flower. I love those beautiful blooms in the cart, and I had to use one of my gorgeous Plum Magnolias from TRR shop!

I cut some doilies using Wisteria Wonder card stock, and a PTI die, then cut one in white as the base for my flower. I stamped the sentiments using Uniko Studios Gerberas set, I can't seem to put this set away lol!

I teamed this with some beautiful Kanban paper (sadly this company has stopped trading, a real shame as they made some great quality products) you can't see in the picture, but it has gold embossing on the flowers, gorgeous!

I wrapped some Pleated Satin Trim in Sage, and some beautiful Guipure Lace topped with some green gems. A quick and easy card to make, but looks so much more with that added pleated trim and gorgeous lace!

I hope you feel inspired to get creative with our challenge, do stop by the rest of the D.T for some more gorgeous inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Pauline

SSCB #12 - Victory Garden

Hi all, it's a new two week challenge over at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog, and it's entitled 'Victory Garden'.

The idea is to create using a garden scene or object but NO flowers! Simple huh?!

For my card, I have used the fab Herbs and Jars stamp from the Serendipity Stamps shop, teamed with the elegant scrolling Thank You sentiment.

The gorgeous papers are a new stack by Cosmo Cricket.

I added a little button twine bow, some grosgrain ribbon and some Martha Stewart punched butterflies, and gems.

Do stop by the rest of the design team for some wonderful inspiration!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Catz - 3-2-1- I used 3 Butterflies, 2 Stamps and one twine bow.
Southern Girls - Spots & Dots
Ooh La La Creations - Seeing Red
Through The Craftroom Door - anything Goes

WMS Make it Move Challenge

Hi all, I'm a bit late to this little challenge over at Waltzingmouse Makes. The challenge is to create something with a moveable part, a sort of interactive card.

I've wanted to make one of these beanie hat gift card holders for a long time now, and I made one this evening in between cooking dinners and stuff!

I got the details on how to make this giftcard holder at Carolinas Creative Pad.

Here is the card closed:

And here it is opened, so cute!

A little close up of the flowers. I went around the edges with a bit of antique Linen, and used some Prima gems and a pearl brad to secure the top of the hat.

So sorry for the bad photos, it's pouring with rain here and the light is so bad!

I took the inspiration for the colours from the Dynamic Duos challenge this week, which is an open challenge to use a past colour combo, and I have chosen Soft Suede and Crumb Cake from Week 37

I have of course used WMS Heirloom Patterns for the design on my beanie hat, stamped in Sahara Sand on Crumb Cake card, the trim is Soft Suede card and the flowers from WMS Sewing Box Hugs are in Crumb Cake and soft Suede card.

Thanks for stopping by, stay warm and dry!

Uniko Studios D.T Case Challenge #3!

Hi all, I'm back with another CASe card for the Uniko Studios D.T Blog Hop CASE Challenge! I was inspired by the paper pieced Gerbera that Stacey created with:

I used some lovely Tilda papers I have had for about a year and only used once! It's a 12x12 stack, so it's going to last me a while!

I stamped the gerbera onto some small patterned paper and fussy cut, and stamped the leaves onto some Certainly Celery card.

I layered up with some Sno Cone from MFT, and some larger patterned paper from the stack.

Inside, I used some of the offcuts for some decoration, and added a sentiment from the FONTiments Birthdays set.
Finally I added some white waffle trim, and some bows in green and white, and some pale green gems.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown

CAS on Sundays

CAS-ology

There's still plenty of time to join the challenge, so I think I will go and CASE another D.T member!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline.

TRR #53 - Spring is Here!

Oh the irony! If only it were lol! We are halfway through May, and apart from a few lovely days last week, we are now plunged back into chilly, windy weather. Yuk! I have tried to put my heating back on, but my thermostat keeps going blank, which makes me cold and cross haha!

Anyway, onto this week's new challenge over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge blog. 'Spring is Here' is the theme, and look at this darling picture inspiration from Debbie:

I bet you just went 'Awwww!'  Sooo cute! So using the colours in the picture the challenge is to create using a ribbon and a Bunny...Awwww!

And here's my little bit of cuteness:

I have used a Waltzingmouse Stamp set called Lil' Buddies for the focal image, frame and sentiment. And I love how this turned out.

I made this card for some friends of ours who are expecting their first baby, due in September so I had a while, but thought this bunny theme was perfect for a newborn card.

I used some Stampin' Up! So Saffron and Gumball Green card for the base, and some pretty pattterned Echo Park paper. I stamped the heart frame in Gumball Green, and the bunny in London fog, then cut with Nesties.

I layered lots of different ribbon, lace and pom pom trim all from The Ribbon Reel Shop: Grosgrain Stripe in Celery; Crochet Lace in White; Pom Pom trim in Avalanche; Small Check Gingham in Yellow; Yellow & Green pins from Leaf Pinwheel; the little flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Finally I stamped the sentiment and cut with a Spellbinders banner die, and added a couple of gold gems.

Do stop by the rest of the D.T for some more cuteness!!

Thanks for dropping by,

Pauline

Uniko Studios D.TBlog Hop CASE #2

Happy Sunday all, and to all you mummies in the U.S, Happy Mother's Day! We have our Mother's Day in March, so I've just bought myself some flowers for today haha!

Yesterday I joined in with the Uniko Studios D.T CASE challenge, case-ing my blog buddy Ren-Yi Lo's beautiful CAS design HERE. I know now that CAS doesn't come easily to me, I do like to have layers, flowers, bling, ribbons and stuff on my creations! But sometimes it's nice to sit down and try a more CAS approach, especially when the images are as beautiful as this:

The Uniko D.T are showcasing this stamp set, which was released last year, and I have nestled on my stamp shelf with some other Uniko sets! I just had to play along with the CASE, and I loved Aimes beautiful and very elegant design:

I took my inspiration from the masked Gerberas and sentiment placing with the simple addition of gems and some ribbon. And here's my take:

I used MFT Naturals card as my base, and stamped the Gerbera using a mask three times onto some Sno Cone card using Sno Cone ink. I then fussy cut the panel and then smooshed some Marina Mist and Midnight Muse inks from Stampin' Up! onto some acrylic blocks, and painted the petals in.

In the centre, I dabbed some London Fog.

Inside I stamped the outline in Sahara Sand, and overstamped the elegant sentiment using FONTtiments: Birthdays from Uniko Studios.

I added the painted panel to the card, and finally I added some striped navy ribbon from The Ribbon Reel, and some Prima gems.

There's a chance to win some prizes over at Uniko Studios, so pop over and take a look at the D.T inspiration, and flex those CAS muscles. Mine are getting a nice workout lol! I am inspired to create some more, so may be back later!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline

Uniko Studios Blog Hop CASE Challenge!

Hi all, I'm here today with a CASE card for the Uniko Studios Blog Hop Case Competition. To be in with a chance of winning a £20 Gift Voucher for Uniko Studios shop, all you need to do is CASE one of the D.T and enter the Linky on Uniko's page.

Well, I just had to CASE my bloggy friend Ren-Yi Lo, my former D.T buddy on DYSU! She is one of the kindest, sweetest people you could meet, either in real life or virtually!

So, here is Ren-Yi's card:
And here's my CASE:

I obviously took the inspiration in the placing of the flowers, but just reversed the bottom flower, and made it a Thank you card. I used Primrose petals ink and card, and Sahara Sand ink for the outline gerberas.

Inside I stamped the outline gerbera and overstamped the Thanks in Primrose Petals.

Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline

Happy Spring Birthday...

Good morning all, I have a spring themed card to share inspired by four different challenges! Firstly, I was inspired by the beautiful colour pallette over at colourQ, how pretty are they together? Then I took the design inspiration from RetroSketches fab layout:

I had a little theme of using my new Papertrey Ink Rosie Posie set, (I have had this set since January but have not inked it up before now!), and the challenge at CAS-ology is for:

And last but not least, CAS-ual Fridays has a Bingo theme:

And I have chosen Birthday, Bling and Punches or Dies.

And here's my card:

I created a white card base, and layered with some Calypso Coral, then layered another white panel on top.

I then stamped my hexagons in the green, yellow and pink shades - I don't have the exact Stampin' Up! colours, so I used Versamagic Chalk inks in Pink Grapefruit, Pixie Dust and Thatched Straw.

I then cut a tag using a PTI die, and stamped the sentiment from PTI's Spring Hills.

The gorgeous bloom is from Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie Step 2 stamp sets. Finally I added some pink striped ribbon and some gems for a little sparkle!

I hope the sun is hining wherever you are today, it's trying to break through here, but I'm not holding my breath, I think it's set to rain later!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline

Serendipity Stamps Challenge

Hi all, I'm here today with a card for the new Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog. This fortnight, we would like to see your Masculine cards! So, what with Father's Day approaching, it's time to bust out those papers and stamps that I must admit to not using very much. I do find a masculine theme tricky, as I like a bit of bling and ribbon on my cards!

For my card I have used some fab papers from Echo Park, This & That Charming, which have a very masculine feel. The image is from the Tandem Bicylce set by Serendipity Stamps, and the Hello greeting is also from S.S.

I used some cork as a mat for the two smaller panels, it has such a lovely texture. Finally I added some buttons and twine for my bling fix lol!

Please do visit the rest of the design team for some more Masculine inspiration:

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Papertake weekly - anything Goes

Crafty Catz - Inspired by a song, Daisy Daisy (Bicycle Made for Two)

Thanks for stopping by,

Saturated Canary Challenge

Morning all, I have a card today for the fab Saturated Canary Challenge, which has this wonderful picture for inspiration:

Spring is trying to, well, spring here, we had a couple of lovely days towards the end of last week, but today it's all grey and gloomy again.

Anyway, Spring is definitely springing on my card - I have used this cute couple 'Puppy Love' from Saturated Canary. I got this image a little while ago to make a card for my son's 'girlfriend'. It's her birthday next week, and I always think these gorgeous girls are very much like his little friend!

I tried to colour them to resemble my son and his friend, but I really struggled with their hair - my son has a dirty blonde shade, and Olivia's is much fairer. I think I need to practice my combos a bit more! I coloured them with Promarkers, and teamed the image with some pretty Pink Petticoat papers, and some MFT Sno Cone and Natural card.

I cut them out using a Go-Create die, and made a little side panel to offset on the card. I then stitched all the panels with some aqua thread.

I added some sweet butterflies using some Memory Box dies topped with some tiny gems.

I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, along with some MFT die cut flourishes, and a sentiment panel cut using a Stampin' Up! punch and stamp.

I had to get some ribbon in here somewhere, and wrapped some Pink Pleated Satin ribbon from The Ribbon Reel around my offset panel before layering all together.

I would also like to enter this into:

The Shabby Tea Room - Beautiful Spring

Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes

Passion for Promarkers - To Die For

Finally I added some tiny little heart gems between this cute couple, well they are in Love!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope the sun is shining wherever you are!

Serendipity Stamps Summer Release Blog Hop #2

Good morning all, I'm back with take two of the Serendipity Stamps Summer Release Blog Hop! On Tuesday we had a Blog Hop featuring the new Pear Stamp & Die set, and today we are featuring some beautiful new stamps from a new designer to the Serendipity Stamps fold - Moon Cookie Gallery!

I have created a CAS thank-you card, simply stamping and white embossing this whimsical Fern Garden, and shading with pencils.

I used the Natural cardstock from MFT, it's a creamy kraft colour, and works so well with colouring images. I layered the image onto a white mat, and mounted onto a Naturals card base.

For the sentiment I have used a sentiment from the Everyday Words Vertical Sml from the S.S store.

Here is the order of the blog hop, please do stop by and leave a comment, as one lucky commenter wil recieve all the stamps being showcased today!

Thanks for dropping by,

Pauline
