Serendipity Stamps Summer Release Blog Hop

Good morning all, I have a couple of projects today to celebrate the new Summer release over at Serendipity Stamps!

There are a number of stamps being released, with a matching die. Today I have showcased the die, it's so pretty!

I have used the new Pear Die cut, using Summer Starfruit card and some pretty floral papers from the Trimcraft Hideaway paper stack.

I cut a Vine border (from PTI) and stamped the sentiment using the Thank You Stamp Sml from Serendipity Stamps.

I had to add some seam binding and a little cherry blossom from stash.

As I had made a Thank You card, I thought I would make a bottle gift tag, using the same Pear Die.

I added some green bakers twine, and cut a Spellbinders label to mount the die cut onto. The wood-grain on the label is a Cuttlebug folder.

Finally I added lots of chrome coloured tiny gems at various points on the die cut for some sparkle!

The order of the Blog Hop is as follows:

Miriam
Jenny
Anya
Cathy
Marybeth
ME!
Jeanne

There is a prize of the Pear and Die set for one lucky commenter who visits all of the blogs in the hop drawn randomly from our blogs, you will have until Friday 3rd May to comment and the winner will be announced on Monday 5th May.

Below are the links to the stamp and Die Cut:

Thanks so much for stopping by, we will have another blog hop on Thursday, so don't forget to pop by again!

TRR #52

Hi all, today i'm back with a card for this fortnight's new challenge over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog. Keilly has chosen this fab inspiration pic, and asks that we use the colours in the photo, plus ribbon, twine and buttons.

When I saw this photo, I knew which stamp set I was going to use - PTI's Button Boutique, my very first set from them, and still one of my all time faves (and I have a few!). For inspiration, and to kick start my mojo, I used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

I used as my base some Natural cardstock from MFT, and layered some aqua, ditsy red floral, and heart patterned papers from Basic Grey stitched together with some aqua thread.

I then stamped the button board in Memento Ladybug Red and stamped the blue button in Turquoise Gem twice, and popped up on a foam dot. The spotty red button is from The Ribbon Reel Shop.

I then layered some Turquoise Sheer Ruffle together with some Natural Button Twine and Diagonal Stripe in Red ribbon.

I added a little white Cherry Blossom with a twine bow, both from The Ribbon Reel shop.

I then cut a border using a PTI die with some of the aqua and floral papers, and layered that onto the front of the card. I used the negatives to decorate the inside too, I hate to throw anything away!

Finally I added a little sentiment star using PTI's Tiny Tags set, and chose the sentiment for a special friend - This card is for Sue Lelli, as a late Birthday card and a Thank You rolled into one for the trouble she took to meet up with me a few weeks ago!

Thanks for stopping by today, do pop by the rest of the Design Team for some more inspirations!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Do pop back tomorrow where I will have a couple of projects to show you!

It's Been a While....

Hi all, it's been a while since I last got crafty, blogged or posted anything! In fact, I haven't created since before my holiday well over a month ago - my card for the Waltzingmouse Flower Show Blog Hop was made and scheduled before we went away. Just as well too, as I have been bogged down with work, family and life in general, plus a huge lack in Mr. Mojo, I think I left him on the plane lol!

Anyway, I had to get to it this weekend, for a few reasons - my big girl is turning 13 on Wednesday next week, and I had to make her a card, I have a D. T card for tomorrows new challenge at The Ribbon Reel, (please stop by, it's a cracking challenge !) and some special posts for the new Summer releases at Serendipity Stamps on Tuedsay and Thursday!! So, a bit like buses my blog is next week - nothing for ages, then 3 come at once lol!

Anyway, today I have a card for the My Favourite Things Wednesday Stamp Club, over at splitcoast Stampers. I've been meaning to have a play here for ages, and never got round to it! But, needing some inspiration this morning, I popped over there to see the sketch and have a go!

Here's the sketch:
And here's my card, for my big girl..

If you have popped by my blog in the last month (thank you for that, sorry there's not been much to see lol!) you may be aware that we had our family holiday at Easter in Florida. We spent time in Orlando, Sarasota and Miami Beach, and at some point I will post some pics. I did a small blog post whilst away, using the Blogsy app on my iPad, it was a bit tricky, but I got there in the end!

I was so very lucky to meet up with Sue Lelli, and she took me craft shopping! You can read all about it HERE and HERE: the lovely stamp I used today called Sweet Friend, and the Die-Namics Flower border was bought on that shopping trip from the MFT store in Eustis!

Isn't she gorgeous?! I just had to have her! I coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers to match the gorgeous spring papers by Trimcraft called Hideaway. (You will see more of these papers this coming week!)

Inside, I used some more papers and stamped the fab sentiment in Gumball Green and Dried Marigold.

The little sentiment banner is from Stampin' Up! Bitty Banners set, and the little gems are by Papermania. Under the image panel I added a little strip of Forsythia Seam Binding from The Ribbon Reel shop. The card base is also from MFT, Natural card, I got two packs from the shop as I love it so much! It's like a creamy kraft colour, just beautiful!

Well, if you managed to stay until the end congratulations! Thanks for stopping by today, and don't forget to pop back tomorrow for a new challenge card for The Ribbon Reel!

Waltzingmouse Stamps April Flower Show!

Good morning all, I'm so excited to be able to share with you today a creation for a special Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Hop! I was beyond thrilled to be asked to join in with this event,  with the fabulous Spring theme of 'Flower Show'! If you start over at Waltzingmouse Makes, you will find the beginning of the blog hop, and details of the chance to win some goodies!

You should have arrived here from Emelie Chamel's blog, and after me it's the lovely Anne-Elise.

After doing a little research on the web for some Folk Art images,  I was inspired by these pretty cans with their strong colours, and bold patterns.

What better way to showcase some fabulous WMS flowers, than a nice can full of colourful blooms? For my card base, I used the fab FREEBIE template in the WMS store, and printed it out onto some Certainly Celery card.

I then set about stamping my decoration, using one of Claire's newest release sets, Folk Art Medallion.

I stamped a variety of blooms from the set, using the little stamps to make each colour different in pattern.  I used some beautiful Memento inks, all in strong vibrant shades - Bamboo Leaves, Teal Zeal, Rhubarb Stalk, Paris Dusk, and Sweet Plum. I then hand cut out all the flowers, and stamped leaves, then distressed with some antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.

I then stamped the pattern on the body of the can, I love the bold colours, and the fabulous patterns that you can create with this set, the choice is endless. I spent a bit of time before-hand working out which stamps to use where, I love the little curvy leafy flourish.

I then stamped the inside with a sentiment from the set, in Bamboo Leaves, Sweet Plum and Teal Zeal.

Finally I added some Glossy Accents sprinkled with Glamour Dust for some pretty sparkle to the flowers and leaves, and some little dots on the can. I now have this card on my desk, and it's twinkling away at me! I just wish it would show in the photos!

Don't forget to visit the Waltzingmouse Makes blog for the full list of bloggers joining this hop today, and for details on the fabulous prize up for grabs!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Serendipity Stamps #10 - Stamped Background

Hi all, it's a new challenge over at Serendipity Stamps , and for the next fortnight, we would like to see a stamped background using a stamp that is not meant for a background.

I have used the lovely Floral Dragonfly stamp from Serendipity Stamps for my background, stamped in Memento Peanut Brittle and Pistachio inks.

I layered the stamped panel onto some Certainly Celery card, and wrapped some two tone hemp cord around the bottom.

I then added the Serendipity Stamps sentiment, from the Everyday Words Small Vertical set, a little paper rose and die cut leaves, and a clear gem.

Do stop by the rest of the D.T for some fabulous inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by,

Having so Much Fun!

Well, I'm typing this using the Blogsy app on my iPad, so I'm really hoping this works! I am on holiday in Florida for just over two weeks, and we are half way through our visit.

When my blog buddy Sue Lelli found out we were visiting, she very kindly offered to meet up with me one day, and take me craft shopping!
Here we are outside our villa, the first of many pictures lol!

First off was a visit to the MFT boutique store in Eustis. We were very lucky to meet the owner Kim, who very kindly showed us around the warehouse and crafting area at the back of the shop. I have some photos on my camera, but will have to upload them when I get home! These pictures are courtesy of Sue, she was snapping away with her iPhone all day!

Me, Kim and Sue!

Look at that wall of dies, oh they had everything and I wanted it all!

Here's me being silly on their front porch! Spot my bag of goodies?

So after all that shopping, we took a lunch break in a little bistro across the road, where we had the most yummy lunch! Then, we hit the road to visit Joanns, Hobby Lobby and Michaels!

It's fair to say I will be returning to the U.K with a slightly heavier case than I arrived with lol!

Now I have to see if this will publish, and if I can work out how to link to Sue's blog and MFT Store lol!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline

Serendipity Stamps #9 - Oh Baby!

Hi all, I'm here today with a new challenge over at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog!
This fortnight we have a theme of Oh Baby! We would love to see your Baby themed projects using a Serendipity Stamps die or stamp for this challenge! One lucky participant can win a $20 gift certificate to the store!

For my card, I have used the Baby Bib Etc image from Serendipity Stamps. I stamped the image in Wisteria Wonder ink and left un-coloured, it's such a detailed image, it can either be coloured or not!

I teamed it with some pretty papers from Wild Rose Studio Bella paper stack. I cut the image and the backing paper using my new Spellbinders Marvellous Squares.

I added a little tag cut with a Go-Create die, stamped with the Cute as a Button sentiment from Serendipity Stamps. I finished off with some bakers twine and a couple of buttons from stash.

Do stop by the rest of the design team for some more baby themed inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline

TRR #50 - Mix & Match

Hi all, I'm here today with another new challenge for The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog.
This fortnight we have the inspiration from Michelle, and she asks that we Mix & Match our patterned papers using 2 Patterned papers with one Solid colour.

I used some gorgeous papers from Authentique that I got a couple of weeks ago, and this was the perfect excuse to break them out!

Very simply, I used two co-ordinating patterns from the paper stack, and created a smaller panel with half patterned and half plain pink card.

I covered the join with some of my favourite ribbon - Chevron Stripe, this one in black. I edged the chevron ribbon with Charcoal Grey Seam Binding, and topped with Cotton Candy Pink Bakers Twine all from The Ribbon Reel shop.

I added a pretty floral border and dotty swag using Bordering on Romance stamp set from Stampin' Up!, and added a Hybrid Tea Rose in Off White/Pale Pink and a Bakers Twine Bow, also from The Ribbon Reel.

Do stop by the rest of the Design Team for some more fabulous inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by,
