DYSU #74 - Under The Sea

Good morning all, today brings us another new challenge from DYSU Challenge.
This week we would like to see anything Sea related, mermaids, fish, sea-side, take your pick!

I have made a card using the sweet images by Waltzingmouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes set. I was inspired by the gorgeous sea scape inspiration pic, and thought I would use my new stamps!

I cut two pieces of card stock to size, and trimmed with a Martha Stewart double scallop edge punch.
I used Baja Breeze and Island Indigo card by Stampin' Up! to mimic the beautiful colours of the sea in the inspiration pic.

Who could resist this sweet little guy?

I coloured the submarine and the happy chappy with Flexmarkers and a couple of Promarkers and coloured in the bottom of the sea bed with some grey and blue Flexmarkers, before punching with a dotty punch by EK Success.

I added some little fish from the same stamp set, and popped some stickles onto them for some sparkle and sponged some clouds using a little hand drawn cloud template and some pale blue chalk ink.

Here are our generous sponsors for this week:

The Ribbon Reel #29

Good morning all, today brings us a new challenge over at The Ribbon Reel. This week it's the lovely Helen's turn to choose the theme, and has asked that we create something with a Die-cut/punch, flowers, ribbon/twine and use the colours in the inspiration pic of Coral, Blue and Green.

For my layout inspiration, I have used this week's sketch from Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.

I have used an easel card base from Craftwork Cards, and some pretty papers from My Mind's Eye, Miss Caroline Howdy Doody stack. I LOVE these papers, especially the lacy motif paper I have used here for the top part of the easel card, so pretty! I need to get some more!

I took my inspiration for my card direct from the pic, and wanted to create a little pot with a big coral flower! I only really could think of one stamp that would fit the bill, and that was Roses in Bloom from Waltzingmouse Stamps!

I have used a die cut Spellbinders heart shape for my focal point rather than a rectangle, and split the sentiment to go inside the base of the easel card.

I ruffled some Sheer Ruffle Edge green ribbon, and wrapped some ivory button twine around it both from The Ribbon Reel, and attached to the top base of the card.

The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Compact Sentiments.

I created a rolled crochet lace flower using May Arts Watermelon Crochet lace, and added some Celery Loop trim both from The Ribbon Reel.

The beautiful rose image, leaves and cup are from Waltzingmouse Stamps Roses in Bloom and Afternoon Tea Sentiments sets. I coloured the rose, cup and leaves with Promarkers and some of my new Flexmarkers.

I layered the lace flower onto a small doily, and picked out some detail with a peachy Promarker in Oatmeal.

Finally I added some Prima Say it in Crystals, some Craftwork Cards Candi Dots, and some punched flowers.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

CR84FN #55

Morning all, today brings us a new challenge over at CR84FN. This fortnight, we have one of my favourite colour combos - Lavender, Celery and Grey.

I have made a card using a variety of stamp sets from different companies.

I stamped the flowers and stems using Papertrey Ink's Botanical Silhouettes, and added the little butterflies from Flourishes Gerbera Daisies set, and added the little tags from Waltzingmouse Stamps Afternoon Tea set.

I stitched some co-ordinating paper from Wild Rose Studios Floral stack onto some Certainly Celery card from Stampin' Up, then cut another piece of the card and used a Martha Stewart branch punch along two edges.

I stitched a border around this in grey thread, then added some grey silky ribbon.
Finally I added some tiny metallic gems, and the little tags with some purp[le button twine from The Ribbon reel shop.

Morning all, today brings us another fun challenge from DYSU! This week, we would like to see BIRDS on your creations!

These are our fabulous sponsors this week:

Meljen's Designs
* Winner Choice of 4 Images

Robyn's Fetish
* Winner’s Choice of 5 Digital Stamps

Little Claire's Designs

I have made two cards for today's challenge, my first card is using some images from Little Claire's stamp set, Butterfly Tree.

I coloured the tree with Steadtler ergo soft pencils, and added the sentiment from the same set.

I added some gems to some of the larger butterflies for some sparkle.

Finally I added some Bers Twine from The Ribbon Reel.

I kept it clean and simple, as the image is so pretty coloured and needs very little embellishing. Next time, I'm going to go for a fussy & fancy approach to this lovely image!

Next up I have a card using an image from Robyn's Fetish, called A Little birdie told Me, and coloured with Promarkers.

The papers are from Dovecraft Tea Party paper stack, and the spotty chiffon ribbon and bakers twine bow are both from The Ribbon Reel.

The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Mat Stack One, cut using a woodware label punch.

The shaped card base is from Craftwork Cards.

I hope you feel inspired to create some bird themed creations with us this week, for some more inspiration, please check out the amazing D.T!

PDCC 132

Morning all, today I have a card for this week's Play Date Cafe colour challenge.
This week it's a colour splash, Black, White and Mustard.

I have made a Home Sweet Home card, for a friend to give to a relative who has been away from home for a long time due to family illness, so not a new home, but a welcome home type card.

I have used the sweet little house and sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps Sewing Box Hugs set, stamped in Tuxedo Black onto some white card, and cut with nesties.

The knit background is also from Waltzingmouse Stamps, Faux Fun and the mustard swiss dot backing is Bazzill card, stitched with some black thread.
I coloured the windows using Mustard, Gold and Apricot promarkers, and added some mustard gems to them.

I finished off the petal point edge with some tiny black gems.

The Ribbon Reel # 28

Good Monday Morning all, today I  have a card for this fortnight's new challenge over at The Ribbon Reel!

Lenet has chosen this week's pretty picture inspiration, cupcakes and tea, yum!

Lenet has asked we use the colours in the picture as inspiration, with ribbon/twine and some dry embossing...which I forgot oops, sorry Lenet!

I took my inspiration from the pretty rose decorations on the cakes and the beautiful pink bow on the cake, combined with a tea theme.

The papers are from a Dovecraft set called Tea Party, and the label has been stamped using my favourite Waltzingmouse Stamps, Afternoon Tea and Very Vintage Labels 10.

I created two Bridal White Satin loops, and an oversized Pink Silk bow, used two Pink Hybrid Tea Roses and some Ivory Loop Trim, all wonderful products from The Ribbon Reel shop.

CR84FN #54

Morning all, today brings us a fresh new colour challenge from CR84FN!

This week, we have a minty fresh colour combo, that is one of my favourite schemes ever! I love to use blues and greens on my projects, and the graphic was so inspiring. The photos are courtesy of Style Me Pretty.com, full of pretty bridal inspiration, and fabulous pics to look at, even if you're not getting married!

Foe my card, I have used the fab dress form image from Flourishes Feminine Charm set, and coloured with Promarkers.

I cut and layered the image onto some patterned papers by Memory Box and some blue Core'dinations card.

I cut a vine leaf strip using Papertrey Inks Vine Leaf Border in the blue card, and created a smaller panel from the papers and card and attached a stripy mint button.

I added two PTI Tiny Tags in co-ordinating colours, and added some gems and natural crochet lace.

Do drop by the rest of the CR84FN design team, for some minty fresh inspiration!
