WMS Tag You're It! Challenge

Hi all, today I have another tag for the Tag You're It! Challenge over at Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog, if you haven't heard of it, the details are HERE, there's a fab prize up for grabs, and you can enter as many times as you like!!

I have made a wine bottle tag in kraft card as the base. Using Versamark, stamped some holly and berry images from Very Vintage Christmas to create the background.

Then, using Compliments of the Season and Seasons of Love created a label stamped in Versamagic Rosebud ink and Memento Rich Cocoa.

Have tied a little raffia bow with some green twine and some silvery tassel thread and attached a little christmas bell to it. Then popped a couple of flowers on top and layered a silver glitter snowflake - the green base flowers were coloured using a Pear Green Promarker.

Then around the bottle hole, added a cut silver glitter frame, using Nestabilities Small circles and small scalloped circles.

Finally, added some snowflakes and gems to the base, and some black pearls to the sentiment, finished off with a Martha Stewart zig zag edger punch along the bottom.

I am also entering this into the Tag You're It challenge blog, which wants a tag with scallops.

I'm very happy with how this turned out, love my new pack of kraft card, I can't stop using it!

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

WMSC #20

Hi all, I have a card today for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. I have had this card in my stash for a little while, as I actually made it at a Stampin' Up party, I love how it turned out, and just can't bear to part with it! I love the tiny stamped labels and twine, and I love my bird punch.

I saw the sketch and I thought "Here's one I made earlier!". So here's the sketch:

And here's my entry:

I have used Stampin' Up Rich Razzleberry as a card base, and stamped a tiny floral motif as a background. Then made a panel in some plum and cream card, and corner chomped the edges.
Added the sentiment to the top of the panel.

Using Stampin' Up punches, assembled the bird on a branch, and cut a scallopped frame, and adhered to the front of the panel.

Added some ribbon around the bottom and stamped two tiny labels and punched out using the tiny label punch from Stampin' Up.

I am now going to try and whip up a quick card for another entry, I can feel my creative juices flowing!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Waltzingmouse Tag Challenge

Hi all, today I have something a little bit out of my comfort zone! A tag! I'm entering the FAB competition over on the Waltzingmouse Blog, the prize is AMAZING - you can find the details HERE

Not really used to making something so small, but once I got started, my mojo was flowin'! It was meant to be a totally different colour, more traditional christmas colours, but, it ended up all silvery gold and kraft!

I've use kraft cardstock from Woodware as my base, and Versamarked the snowflake image and sentiment Jingle Bells as a background from Seasons of Love. Then used my Nestabilities Labels one to cut the shape.

Then heat embossed a frame from Holiday Labels 14, and hand cut out very easily. I then stamped the sentiment in white chalk ink and mounted onto a Fancy Label cut from some pale yellow bazzill. Then using foam dots, adhered this to the front of the label.

On the back I have stamped the flourish, 'To' and 'With Love From' in versamark and added some gems, and an ivory chiffon bow. Here's another pic to show the ribbed effect on this card, no need for journalling lines!!

I threaded two types of ribbon through the top of the tag, and a ribbon bow on the bottom, then threaded some beads onto a tassel and fiddled for ages to get it through the hole and hide the knot!

As a last flourish, I added some pearls to the tag hole on the front - well Claire did say to break out the pearls!!

I love this tag, makes me feel all christmassy - I may make another in those traditional colours!
I'm also going to enter this tag into the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, which is for anything but a card.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

WMSC #19 and PDCC 51

Hi all, today I have a card for a couple of challenges - Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, and The Play Date Cafe Challenge.

The Play date Cafe Challenge was this photo inspiration, to use these colours:

And the Waltzingmouse Challenge is the following sketch:And here is my take:

I have used Earthangel for the butterfly image, and the newly released Frame it set for the sentiment. The frame around the butterfly is from Very Vintage Labels 1 .

The butterfly has been coloured with Promarkers, and the leafy branch punched with a Stampin' Up punch, and shaded with Promarkers.

The sentiment has been stamped with Dewdrop Memento ink in Bamboo Leaves, and the frame around the butterfly is a mixture of Versamagic Chalk ink in Sage (but didn't show up too well!) and then stamped over in Bamboo leaves, but I think it looks ok!

Kraft card is by Woodware, and has a ribbed effect, which I thought may not take a stamped image too well, but again, I think it looks ok! This is layered onto some pale blue bazzill, and mounted onto ivory line cardstock.

Finally I added some gems for some sparkle, and some gorgeous cream chiffon ribbon.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Hop

Hi fellow Waltzers, here is my entry for the WMS blog hop. I have made a CAS card in my favourite colours of the season, with my newly purchased stamp set Peace and Plenty (although it's a release from last year), I love it so much, I wish I had got it sooner!

Very simply, I've stamped the image and frame, from Labels 14, in Kaleidoscope Cappucino Delight, stamped the sentiment in Versacolour Orange, and cut out the label and layered up with foam dimensionals.

Love this image, can't wait to stamp it up and colour it in!

Finally added some gems to the sentiment label, and am now admiring it on my mantelpiece!

Happy hopping ladies!

WMSC # 18 and a few other Challenges.

Hi all, I'm back again! Having lost my little mojo, it has returned not before time lol!

I have a card today made using the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, which has a great sketch this week.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take:

I am loving all the autumn colours everywhere, the trees are such a lovely colour this time of year, it's my favourite season.

So leading on from that, I wanted to make a card using these beautiful colours, and with the WMSC I just thought of some autumnal trees blowing in the wind.

Not having the newly released Teeny Trees set from Waltzingmouse yet (need to save some pennies for some more goodies!), I have used a set from Kanban that I've had for months but not actually used yet!

The three trees are three separate stamps, one of them has flowers etched into the rubber, but it hasn't shown up - maybe it was the ink I used. I used a Kaleidoscope ink pad in Cappuccino Delight to stamp them.

The sentiment is from the same set, stamped with Distress ink Spiced Marmalade - love this colour! Used a square punch to cut it out, then a corner chomper to liven up the corners.

The papers are from a stack called Milton and Co by Wild Rose Studio, and I've layered these up onto some terracotta and brown bazill.

I've distressed around the edges and the trees with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain.

Under the trees I've used some 2mm rolled ribbon and some pretty lace, topped off with some pearls and gems.

I'm entering into a few challenges with this card:

WMS Harriet and a few other Challenges.

Hi all, I have a card today in honour of World Card Making Day, which was Last weekend, but, I'm horribly late as usual!

Waltzingmouse Stamps has a digi freebie HERE, where you can enter a challenge and win a stamp set of choice! So, I thought, and thought..... and thought a bit more, and came up with this card, using Harriet, and WMS Victorian Fripperie stampset.

I have used the border stamp from the Victorian Fripperie set and Versamark Bamboo Leaves ink for the circle, and coloured Harriet in with Faber Castell Watercolour Pencils.

She's a real cutie, but it took a lot longer using pencils to colour her than my Promarkers! I have a little issue in that using my promarkers it makes the ink that the image is printed with run, so pencils it was!

I added some gems and a silky gold ribbon to finish the card, and I'm very pleased with the end result!

Harriet is layered up onto some green bazzill, and cut with Nestabilities Labels 4. Have used Small standard circles also by Spellbinders Nestabilities.

For the sentiment I have used Oven Fresh Gingerbread Joy stamp set, and Nestabilities Fancy tags. Finally, I used Sage Versamagic Chalk ink to distress around the edges of the sentiment and the circle panel.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

WMS Harriet Challenge

Annabelle Stamps

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Fab n Funky Challenge

Basicgrey Challenges

Thanks for looking and have a great day

60th Card for a few Challenges

Hi all, I have a card today for a friend's mum who is soon to be 60. I have used Waltzingmouse Stamps, and was aiming for a vintage look, not my strong point, but think I managed it!

Using the border stamp from the Victorian Fripperie set, I made a background using Pink Petunia ink onto some pearlescent card, and cut a frame using Nestabilities Small Scalloped circles.

Cut some pink bazzill, and stamped two flourishes from the Victorian Fripperie set in white chalk ink, and layered the stamped background on top.

I then cut a small scallopped circle, and stamped the sentiment from Say it With Style set. Added a little ribbon, a gem and some flat backed pearls.

I adhered 3 white roses and added some stickles to the petals.

Then using some glossy accents, covered two chipboard numbers, and covered with some glamour dust - it went everywhere lol! When dry, I placed them in the centre of the card.

Then added some pearls to every other scallop, and some gems to the corners. The light here is terrible again today, wish I could show how sparkly the numbers look!

Finally I stamped the sentiment inside, and added 'Mum' from the Roses in Bloom set also by Waltzingmouse Stamps and added a few pearls inside as well, as this is not going in the post.

I'm entering this card into a few challenges:

The Creative Cottage Challenge - Bling

Stamp Something - Something to Celebrate

Basic Grey Challenges - Sparkle

Sew Many Challenges - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

WMSC #17

Hi all, hope you are enjoying the weekend wherever you are. It's absolutely pouring with rain here in the UK, it's so dark and dull, yuk!

I have a card today for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge today, thought I'd get it in early as I have missed a few being late!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take:

I have used a white card base, and layered up with some orange bazzill, and some black bazzill stamped in white chalk ink, using Waltzingmouse Stamps tree tops from Asian Gardens - it makes a beautiful flourish on it's own!

Using WMS Labels 1 stamp set, stamped and cut the label in Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade. The sentiment and bird are also from Asian Gardens, stamped in Tuxedo Black.

Finally added some orange ribbon, some orangey bling and some black pearls to the label. Then gently edged the card base with the Spiced Marmalade ink.

As well as the WMSC, I am also entering the following challenges:

The Ribbon Girl - black, orange and white

Stamp Something - Celebrate

Simon Says Stamp - Autumn

Thanks for looking and have a great day.
