WMSC #10, WMS Blog Hop

Edited to add, I forgot to link it up for the Blog hop on the 17th!

Hi all, I have another card today for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, here is the sketch:

And here is my take:

I have made an easel card using pale lilac pearlescent card and some pink and plum bazzill. Stamps used are all from WMS Victorian Frippery and Faux Fun Circles for the central panel.

The circle has been coloured with promarkers, as has the 'buttons' either side, and then have just picked out some areas to stickle.

The ribbon used is a lovely pinky colour from John Lewis haberdashery dept, expensive to get from there I know, but it was an impulse buy, and it's very pretty :-)

The edges were distressed with Antique linen Distress Ink, apart from the base (not sure if I should have done the base or not!).

This took me longer than anticipated, I was having a few issues with the Bow Easy, but I think it's the type of ribbon I used.

Finally I added some pearls by Kanban and breathed a sigh of relief. I like it, but I don't love it, not yet! I find vintage very difficult to do, but I think I'm getting there!

This will be my last entry to the WMSC for a couple of weeks as I'm off on holiday next week to Euro Disney and Switzerland, and we are driving all the way! Not looking forward to that bit, and I'm sure Disney won't be a patch on Florida, which we went to in October last year, but I am hoping for one thing and one thing only - some SUNSHINE!!!

I can honestly say I cannot remember such an overcast, gloomy, rainy, wet, school holidays, and it's getting to me!!! Even 2007 was better than this, and we had floods here in Thatcham!

Off to do some packing, thanks for looking and have a great day

Play Date Cafe #42, Waltzingmouse Competition

Hi all, I have a little creation today made using one of the FREE templates available from Waltzingmouse Stamps. They are running a little competition over there to create something using one of their free templates, and you could be in with a chance to win one of Clare's fabby stamp sets! So if you're not familiar with Clare's lovely work, pop over and have a peek, you won't be disappointed!

So, I thought I may as well make a start of Christmas gift giving (as everyone else seems to be doing in blogland!) and I have made a little giftcard holder. The colours I've used were taken from the Play Date Cafe challenge this week, which just remind me of mint choc chip ice-cream! Yum!

Here is the pic:

And here is my gift-card:

I have used a Martha Stewart Brights paper stack for the whole card, and all stamps used are Waltzingmouse Stamps Gingerbread Joy.

Inks used are Memento Rich Cocoa and Colourbox Chalk inks in white, then embossed the sentiment circle and gingerbread girl in a shimmery powder, looks very pretty with the sun on it.

Added some star gems and rhinestones for some shiny bling, and used a new border punch I bought last week whilst on holiday in the New Forest, from a wonderful shop called Emerald Crafts - it's a leaf design, but on this it looks like ice.

This was the third attempt for this template, and I nearly gave up! Looking at it now, I still need to trim it up a bit, but I will do that later!

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

SQUEAL!!!

SQUEALLL!!! I am a very happy bunny today, the card I entered for the PDCC 41 received the Fab Four badge, WOWEEE! So many beautiful entries and talented ladies, so I feel very honoured to get a mention! I also had the Cream in Our Coffee badge for last weeks entry, so I am feeling very happy!!

The stamps I used for both cards are by Waltzingmouse Stamps, they are fab designs, and they have a great sketch challenge too.

Well I'm going to make a picnic to take with us today to Bowood House in Oxfordshire, but it looks like rain (again) and it feels like autumn.

All the colours of the Rainbow for WMSC #9

Hi all, another card today for the WMSC #9 challenge. This was the card I meant to make yesterday, but my mojo had other ideas!

I have used Say it With Style stamp set from WMS, and stamped the flowers in Tuxedo Black, then coloured using Promarkers.

Added some gems to the flower middles and panel, stamped using Very Vintage Labels 3.

Then punched a couple of butterflies from my new MS punch. Love it!

Just another photo, cos I love the happy bright colours on this, and just the ticket for a grim rainy day here in Berkshire!

Right, got to get the kiddoes ready for some indoor entertainment at Intech science centre in Winchester.

Have a great day, thanks for looking

WMSC #9, PDCC #41

Hi All, finally made a card today, after a week away in the New Forest. A good time was had by all, but I really missed some crafting time.

Today I have made a card for two challenges, the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, and the Play Date Cafe challenge which is a colour based one.

Here are the sketches:

Play Date Cafe #41

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #9

And here is my take:

Using Say it With Style and Very Vintage Labels 1 stamp sets, I stamped 3 different sized flowers onto a variety of papers from Papermania Hampstead stack and Websters Pages Lifes Portrait collection.

I inked up half of one of the decorative label frames in Memento Rich Cocoa onto some white linen bazzil card, and cut out using Nestabilities Labels 1. Then stamped the sentiment from Say it With Style.

Attached this to a card panel, and layered up all the flowers with varying heights of foam pads.

Couldn't resist adding some bling to the flower centres, then thought what the heck, I'll trail some more bling above the flowers too! Then I removed some as even I thought it was a bit too much LOL!!

Very pleasantly surprised by this one, as the colours are way out of my comfort zone, and I had planned to do something completely different which I may do tomorrow if the kiddoes will let
me ;-)

Thanks for looking and have a great day,
