Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge + a Couple of Other Challenges!

Today I have a card made using Sewing Box Hugs set from Waltzingmouse Stamps. Claire has a big release on Saturday 1st May, and there are a few competitions to celebrate, including a sketch challenge.

I have stamped the larger flower from this set onto several different papers from a stack by Papermania called Rose Garden, distressed them with some chalk ink, and layered them up. Stamped some leaves from the same set, and mounted them all onto a chequered paper from a Papermania stack called Blueberry Hill.

Finally I added some large gems I have had for ages, they fit perfectly in the middle of the flowers, and the sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I am also entering this into two other challenges which want stitching on their entries:

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Crafty Catz Challenge

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

TESC 110

Today I have a card using the Taylored Expressions challenge. A really nice layout, but took me ages to do, as I don't have a square punch. That's top of my wish list along with a heat tool and embossing powders and a whole host of other stuff.

I started by stamping some background using Waltzingmouse Stamps Faux Fun Circles set, and Memento London Fog. I stamped a strip on 5 different shaded pearlescent card stock, and then measured and cut lots of squares from them! Each square was then distressed using some pale blue chalk ink.

I then cut some creamy Bazzill card to mount the squares onto using some foam dimensionals. The Bazzill was also disressed with Antique linen Distress Ink.

Using some cream pearlescent card, I cut a large square to mount all the little squares onto, and stamped a border around it using the same stamp set.

Stamped two circles from said set, and added the sentiment from Say it With Style stamp set by WMS. Cut this out using my nesties classic circles small.

For a little sparkle I added some Stickles, and some butterflies with rhinestones, but in hindsight I think I preferred it without the butterflies!

Thanks for looking and have a great day

Birthday Card for a Boy.

Well, it's been a long week! I don't seem to have got any crafting done at all, except for this very quick and simple card. It's for my daughter's friend who is 10 on Sunday, and I was a bit stumped to begin with. I made my way to my favourite shop Flutterby Crafts in Thatcham and bought some yummy papers by 3 Bugs in a Rug, and a co-ordinating sheet of Die-cuts called playtime.

I layered the stripy paper onto some Core'dinations (raspberry I think), and cut a label in the same colour using my nesties labels one. I layered a die-cut from the sheet onto the label, and added some screw effect brads to 2 corners.

I stamped the number 10 in Soot Black distress ink onto some cardstock that I had coloured with a promarker (Grey Green) and cut using my circle nesties. Layered it onto a circle of core'dinations card and added some of the brads.

Finally I stamped a star border by Stamp-it onto some green Bazzill in Weathered Wood distress ink and popped it onto some foam dimensionals.

I am entering it into Creative Belli Blog Challenge which is to use a die-cut on your card.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Anniversary Card

Well today is my 13th Wedding Anniversary, and here is the card I made for my hubby. It's a very straightforward, unfussy card, cos he's that kind of guy!

Very simply, I have used some silver holographic card and some patterned silver paper, cut some hearts in them using my nestie heart shapes, layered them up, stamped the Papermania sentiment onto some pearlescent card and cut using a spellbinders tag, attached with a foam dot, and used some silver dotted ribbon for the tag. Added two tiny stamped hearts using silver metallic ink, from the Earthangel set by Waltzingmouse Stamps. Finished off with some white pearls for some balance. It was a throw together card!

I was surprised at how the holographic card photographed - it looks very colourful, but is very silvery in reality. The colours on it are gorgeous but subtle.

I am entering it into My time to Craft Challenge - Pretty Pearls.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

A Blog Waltz Card for Mum

Hello, here is my entry for the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz!

I have used Roses in Bloom set and coloured the rose image with promarkers. I have cut blossom shapes using my nestabilities set and the backing paper is from a paper stack by Wild Rose Studio.

Finished off with some green rhinestones for some shine. The Especially for You tag is stamped with metallic silver ink and is from a set by Buzzcraft.

Apologies for some blurry images, my camera doesn't take good close ups.

Thanks for looking, and Happy Waltzing!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday card for Grandad.

Today I have a card for my father-in-law, who is soon to be the ripe old age of 70!

I followed the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 45.

I have used gold mirri card and sparkly glitter card, but it doesn't photograph well unfortunately, but it is very shiny and sparkly in real life!

The two patterned circles are from DCWV Nana's Nursery (Boy) paper stack, cut using Nestabilities Classic Circles Sml.

The number and stars were a pre-cut set from Hobbycraft, but don't know the make. I have attached some gold ribbon under the congratulations tag and star.

I have used a piece of the DP inside and edged using an EK Success punch, added another tag (from the same set as the numbers and stars), and that's it! A hopefully masculine card, with not a butterfly, flower or bow in sight!

Thanks for looking, and have a great day

A Card for a few Challenges!

Well it's been a long week! I have finally shifted myself to making a card today, but it's not easy to concentrate with 3 kiddoes running amok in the house, roll on Tuesday lol!

Anyway, today I have made a card for several challenges, in no particular order, they are:

Pollycraft Challenge - Pink and Brown + Green or Yellow

Totally Gorjuss - Texture

Stamptacular Challenge - Dots and Spots

Pink Elephant - 1 image = 2 dies = 3 embellisments

Pile it on - Text

Sketch Saturday

Passion for Promarkers

Flutterby Wednesday

Heart to Heart

Very briefly, (kids are getting hyper now!!) loads of layering, papers used are Papermania Regency stack and some cream pearlescent card. All stamps used are Waltzingmouse Stamps Faux Fun Circles and Very Vintage Christmas for the sentiment.

Martha Stewart butterfly punch for the embellishments in the middle of the medallion, created with Nesties Labels one and three.

Layers!!

The stamped medallion is coloured with promarkers, as are the butterflies and ribbon to match.

The two tiles in the top corners are embossed with a new butterfly folder from Cuttlebug. Inks used are chalk inks, and I have distressed around the edges of everything (very inky fingers!) and added some stickles and bling. I felt quite exhausted when I had finished!!

Think that's all!

Thanks for looking and have a great day

Tuesday Taggers + Little Red Wagon + Crafty Catz 25 + Pile it On Challenges

Hello, I have not been around for a week or so due to lots of end of school term stuff, and finally this week have had a couple of hours to make an easel card. I keep seeing these on the web, and thought I would have a go myself.

I have used a card base from my local craft shop Flutterby Crafts, and the dark purple paper was a gift from a craft friend. Lilac Bazill and pale pearlescent card stamped with a lovely swirly flourish from Waltzingmouse Stamps was layered onto the card.

Then using Nestabilities Blossom die cut two flowers to make a medallion.

Using another image from the same stamp set, I stamped and coloured with promarkers the vintage patterned circle. I then highlighted some of the scroll ends with stickles Starry Night. Layered this onto the blossom, then stamped a sentiment from WMS Say it with Style set onto some lilac bazill, and popped that into the centre using some foam dimensionals.

Punched some butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch in glittery lilac and white card, added some white pearls, buttons and some bling and, Ta-daaa!! I love it!

I am entering this card into a few challenges;

Tuesday Taggers (sponsored by The Craft Barn)

Little Red Wagon 22

Crafty Catz 25

Edited to add one more challenge, hope it's not too cheeky ;-)

Pile it On

Thanks for looking and have a great Easter
