Trendy Tree Birthday

Hello everyone!  Today I have a card that I've made using my Trendy Tree Tops Dies from PaperTrey Ink.  I have the stamp set as well, but when I stamped the tree top with my Simply Chartreuse ink, I found it to be awful (like many of my PTI inks).  I decided to use my dies instead, and stamped the sentiment with my SU Lucky Limeade (even tho it doesn't match that well).  The pretty rectangle frame is a Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles die.  The ribbon was pulled through my little Xyron Mini (love that thing!) to adhere to my card.

Stamps:  Trendy Tree Tops (PTI)
Card Stock:  Chocolate Chip(SU), Simply Chartreuse (PTI), Papaya (AMS), Dotty Biscotti (PTI)
Ink:  Lucky Limeade (SU)
Accessories:  PTI Dies, Romantic Rectangles Dies (Spellbinders), Simply Chartreuse Stitched Ribbon, Xyron Mini

Thanks so much for dropping by!!

Bamboo

Today I have a very simple CAS card using Peaceful Garden from PTI.  I've stamped the bamboo image with Wild Wasabi onto a random piece of Soft Sky that I had in my scrap pile. I had a white card base already made up, so I decided to place the stamped soft sky piece onto the white base, then trimmed the edges to 1/2 inch on each side using my Perfect Layers tool. I stamped the sentiment with Sahara Sand, tied a white organdy ribbon, and was finished.

Design Memory Craft

Hello everyone! Today I have some cards I've made using some of the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Mix & Match mediums. If you've received the most recent Splitcoaststampers Newsletter, you may have already noticed there is a new Product Review. If not, check this out. There are wonderful product descriptions, reviews of the products, tutorials on how to use them, and beautiful samples in the gallery. Take a peek over there, and let me know what you think. ☺

The first card is one that I've made for a tutorial I wrote about Stamping with Gelatos. The images are PaperTrey Ink.

My next card is one in which I've used the PITT artist big brush pens to color the background and sentiment image with before stamping onto paper. The backgrounder is an older Cornish Heritage Farms image, and the sentiment is from Verve.

I've previously posted some other cards created with some of the Design Memory Craft Products. This card uses Gelatos for the background, and this card uses the Big Brush pens for stamping and coloring, along with a little Gelatos for coloring as well.

Take a Moment

Hello everyone...and Happy Labor Day! Like many of you, I had to purchase the new Harvest Berries set from PaperTrey Ink. I wanted to use some neutral colors, but I wanted this card to be special. I decided to emboss all of the images, and leave it rather CAS (no surprises on that one, huh?). I was originally thinking it could be for a guy or girl...but now I'm thinking it's a little more on the feminine side. What do you think?

Stamps: Harvest Berries (PaperTrey Ink)
Card Stock: Black, Kraft
Ink: VersaMark
Accessories: White & Black Ultrafine Embossing Powder, Scallop Trim Border Punch (SU), Black Rhinestones (Recollections)

Holly Jolly Wreaths

Gosh...it has been almost a month...and I do sound like a skipping record (for those of you who know all about how vinyl records would skip). I have not made many Christmas cards this year, so unless I do some major mass production...I will have to visit my local Hallmark (shameful). I was thinking of mass producing these, but even as simple as they are...they would take me more time than I have.

I've used a couple of PaperTrey Ink Stamp sets for this design. The wreath is from Wreath For All Seasons, and the sentiment is from Holiday Button Bits. The red is rich and yummy Cherry Cobbler, which is new this year from SU. I've used my sponge and some Rich Cocoa ink all around the edges of the card, and image layer. The texture was added to the base with my Retro Diamonds Quickutz folder.

I'm attempting to show you how I've added some pretty sparkle to the berries with my Lipstick Spica glitter pen, but it didn't photograph very well. Much prettier in real life!

I have a project using a kit that I purchased a while ago, and never blogged, so please come back tomorrow if you'd like to check it out.

Thanks so much for visiting today! I appreciate your visits!! ☺

Leaves & Flowers

I've unintentionally taken another blog break, but I'm back with a couple of cards today. (I figure I'd better show them both now, as I never know when I'll be back).

The first card uses a beautiful fall set from PaperTrey Ink called Falling leaves. My son told me it's a very simple-looking card, and it is...but I told him to try stamping and trimming out all of those leaves by hand, then tell me how simple it is. Lol. The right edge of my card was die cut with the Perfect Bracket Edge Die-namics die from My Favorite Things, and I sponged in my grassy hill using a punched circle template that I created.

Stamps: Falling Leaves (PaperTrey Ink)
Card Stock: Vintage Cream
Ink: Orange Zest, Terracotta Tile, Summer Sunrise, Old Olive, Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Perfect Bracket Edge Die-namics (My Favorite Things), Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon (SU), Tombo Mono Multi Glue

My second card was made for a relative of my husband's who recently loss their 16-year-old daughter to a catastrophic asthma attack. So very sad. The main image is from Lovely Labels (Gina K. Designs), and the sentiment is from Notes of Prayer (Verve)

Stamps: Lovely Labels (Gina K. Designs), Notes of Prayer (Verve)
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Vintage Cream
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Regal Rose, Copic Markers
Accessories: Label 1 & Label 16 Nestabilites (Spellbinders), Square Lattice Embossing Folder (SU), Regal Rose 5/8-inch Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Thanks for visiting, today! I hope to be back again soon.

Grateful for You

Happy Saturday everyone! I colored and cut this flower out last night, and finally got around to finishing up the card today. I used my Micro Tip Fiskars scissors for most of the trimming, and my Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife for between the flower petals. Everything on this card is PaperTrey ink except the epoxy sticker in the center of the flower, and my Copic Markers (although they are available through PTI as well).

Stamps: Friends 'Till The End, Signature Greetings
Card Stock: White, Pretty Pastels
Ink: Pure Poppy, New Leaf, Copic Markers
Accessories: epoxy sticker (Recollections), Berry Sorbet ribbon

Origins Bird

I would like to thank you all for your kind words concerning Lance's illness. His sugars have been a bit like a roller coaster lately, but he is doing much better!

I've made a birthday card for my sister, today. I was eager to use my SU bird punch again, and thought it would look pretty with this paper from my new Origins BasicGrey paper pad. I trimmed off the bottom edge of my patterned paper, and punched the edge of the Spring Moss with my Embossed Curve EK Success punch.

Stamps: Women of Life (PTI)
Card Stock: Spring Moss, Black, New Leaf, Origins (BasicGrey)
Ink: Vintage Cream
Accessories: 2-Step Bird punch (SU), Embossed Curve punch (EK Success), Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Black Sheer ribbon (retired SU), Tombo Multi Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals

Hearts Galore & The Field Trip

Happy Friday! ** I've added a card to this post from earlier, as I was able to have a little creating time this morning.

I've made another Valentine, and the small sentiment is the only stamping on it. I have many heart-themed punches and dies, and I thought it would be pretty to put some of them to use on this card. Instead of the usual "Happy Valentine's Day", I decided to use this simple sentiment from my PTI Sweet Love set. Details are listed below the photo.

Stamps: Sweet Love (PaperTrey Ink)
Card Stock: Pink Pirouette, White, Real Red
Ink: Pure Poppy
Accessories: Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits (SU), Love Language embossing folder (Cuttlebug), Lace Heart border punch (Martha Stewart), Scalloped Hearts Nestabilities, White Taffeta Ribbon, Corner Chomper, Glue Dots, and Stampin' Dimensionals

Here's a photo to share from the field trip yesterday. This is the group in front of our state capital in Lansing. We also visited the museum close-by. It was a fun, but busy day.

Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page

Martha Stewart's Punch Around the Page punches are the Product Focus for today's reviews at Splitcoaststampers today. I tried out my Topiary set of punches on the patterned paper used in my Easel Card below. This type of card was the TLC242 a couple of months ago, and so fun to make! Instead of adding a brad or other item to hold my card in place, I just cut another piece of card stock half the size of my base, and adhered it. There is just enough edge to hold my card up.

The adorable image is a digital stamp that I found at Softpencil's Esty Store. I don't use digital images all that much, but this one was too cute to pass up! (Elizabeth has many more adorable images as well!)

Digital Images & Stamps: (Softpencil/Elizabeth Pujalka at Esty), Holiday Wishes (PTI)
Card Stock: Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Wintergreen DSP (SU)
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Certainly Celery, Copics, Gold Spica Giltter Pen
Accessories: Topiary Punch Around the Page Edge & Corner Punches, Snowflake Borderabilities (Spellbinders), Scor Pal, heidi swapp Ghost Snowflakes, Rhinestone Brads, Foam Tape

I needed a little break from all of that, so I have a simple single-layer Christmas card that made using my new PaperTrey Ink goodies. I think the images are so beautiful, and I just couldn't resist. Everything is PTI except the brads (Imaginisce) and yummy "suede" ribbon from Sharon Johnson's store.

DTGD for Cindy's Sketch

**This is my third post for the day. If you would like to see the Lizzie Anne Designs Sneak Peeks, and the Stamp Simply Challenge..please scroll down.**

Cindy was my "Roomie" while serving on the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen Team, and I was so honored when she asked if I was interested in making a sample for her DTGD Sketch. I need a card for my sweet little niece who will be turning two soon, so I pulled out my adorable Snuggle stamp from The Greeting Farm. The sentiment is from the PTI Birthday Basics set, as well as the pretty colors and papers.

Like Day & Night...

...is what these cards are. I wanted to use my new Grow With Love Simply Single stamp, and I wanted it to be really soft and muted. I ended up using the most recent additions to the Copic marker colors (If you're having a hard time finding them, my friends over at Eclectic Paperie may still have some--well...at least they did last I checked), and a piece of patterned paper from my 6 x 6 Aerial (Memory Box) paper. The gorgeous ribbon is from Sharon's Stamp Simply Store. (After I cut the ends of the ribbon, it realized it resembled a butterfly).

Stamps: Grow With Love (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Aerial (Memory Box), White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers (the new colors)
Accessories: Corner Rounder Punch, Paper piercer and Template, Scotch Foam Tape, Silk Ribbon

Stamps: Birthday Basics (PTI), Friends 24-7 (SU)
Card Stock: Bravo Burgundy, Soft Suede, Naturals Ivory
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Scattered Straw Distress Ink
Accessories: Modern Label Punch, 1/2 " Circle Punch, Basic Jumbo Grommet, Rain Dot, 5/8 inch Bravo Burgundy Grosgrain ribbon, Stix2 Ultra Clear Tape, Cutter Kit

This card is made with a tag I removed from a shirt I bought my DH recently. I thought the tag was way too pretty to throw away...so I made it into a card. The birthday sentiment and ribbon/grommet treatment hide the original writing on the tag. I didn't alter the tag in any other way...I just built around it. The sentiment is from Birthday Basics (PTI), and the little fragment of damask I stamped for the Rain Dot is from an image in the Friends 24-7 set (SU).

Feeling Better

Stamps: With Sympathy, Mixed Messages (PaperTrey Ink)
Card Stock: Ripe Avocado, Raspberry Fizz, White
Ink: Ripe Avocado, Raspberry Fizz, Plum Pudding
Accessories: Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Small Oval punch (SU), Jump Ring, Ripe Avocado Luxe Satin ribbon, Kaiser Pearls

Happy Friday, everyone! The kids are thrilled because today they celebrate Valentine's Day with their school friends, then they have an extended weekend for Winter Break.

My card is totally not a Valentine, but it was one I needed. I used my PaperTrey stamps, and papers to create the garden. There's a special reason why I made this is the way I did...but I won't go into that. I only hope the recipient knows how much I care.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day, and weekend.

Multi-Challenge Card

If you've been following my blog lately, you know I have been having a tough time getting back "in the groove" since returning from my vacation. The distraction of the Olympics hasn't been helping (though I am enjoying them very much).

I have never tried Beate's Inspiration Challenge, so this is a first for me. I have combined her BIC19 with the DCB808 Dirty Challenge at Splitcoaststampers to come up with this card for my nephew. I really need to work with my photo editing program, as the lighting and colors are off in my photo. So sorry about that!

Here's the deets on my card:

Stamps: Headline Numbers (SU), Piece of Cake (PTI), Year-Round Puns (PTI)
Card Stock: Gable Green, Basic Gray, Really Rust, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black
Accessories: White embossing powder, 5/8 " Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Corner Rounder punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
