Happy Earth Day!

**This is my second post today. Please scroll down to see the first.**

Happy Earth Day! Lance's class is celebrating Earth Day today, by cleaning up around their school. I thought it would be cool if he had his own shirt to celebrate this special day, so I stamped the earth image from Starving Artistamps DoodleFactory Final Frontier stamp set. I used Basic Black Craft Ink from SU, and my Copic markers to color it. Lance looks pretty sleepy in the picture, but he was thrilled with how it turned out. What do you think?

Out of This World

Happy Monday, everyone! I have Lance's birthday card to show you today. His favorite stamp line is DoodleFactory from Starving Artistamps, so of course I had to make his card using some. The images are from Final Frontier, and they are so much fun! The land images are all pieced on the globe (lots of cutting there), and glued onto the blue base with Tombo Muliti Glue. My little space creature was raised quite a bit with my Scotch foam tape, as I wanted him to look like he is flying over the Earth. I didn't tuck him inside the spaceship too much, cause he is too cute to "hide" inside. I didn't end up using an envelope, because of the added dimension. Lance loved it, which always makes mom feel good. :)

Stamps: Final Frontier (DoodleFactory @ Starving Artistamps)
Card Stock: Bashful Blue, New Leaf, White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, Red & Clear Spica Glitter pens
Accessories: Tombo Muliti Glues, Scotch Foam Tape

Choo....chooo!

Stamps: Things That Go, Welcome Home (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Neenah Solar White, Offbeat (BasicGrey)
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Vintage Cream (PTI), Copic markers
Accessories: Small Pinking Circles (Spellbinders), Square punch, Decorative Trimmer (Creative Memories), Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Happy Monday, everyone!! Today I have child's train card, and some cards my kids made (pretty much) on their own this weekend.

The adorable train is from the Things That Go set (Lizzie Anne Designs). I stamped the train (the extra car repeatedly) on my Offbeat BasicGrey paper. I needed some rails, so I used my fence from my Welcome Home set. It was a bit tricky to line up, but it didn't turn out too bad.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Brooke's Card

Stamps: Easter, Countryside backdrop, All About Easter
Card Stock: Soft Sky, Neenah Solar White, Mocha Chica (CHF Kim Hughes collection)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, Spica glitter pens
Accessories: Flower Soft (Ivory, Shamrock Green, Pale Green), Flower Soft Glue, Scotch foam tape
My daughter celebrated her 5th birthday yesterday, and this is the card I made for her. She requested a bunny, so of course I had to use my new "Easter" DoodleFactory (Starving Artistamps). This is Stella, and I've also used my favorite backdrop, "Countryside". To add some nice texture to the trees, I used Flower Soft (I also used it for Stella's tail). There was a whole lot of trimming and gluing on this, but I think it was worth the effort. Brooke was very pleased with it.

Thanks so much for your visit!! Happy Friday!!

Yapples

Happy weekend, everyone!! Today I have a card to show you, which I meant for New Years. Obviously that didn't happen, so here it is today. I used my Starving Artistamps Dandelion Clock flower for my "fireworks", and Yapples (I love that huge grin).

Stamps: Yapples, Dandelion Clock (FS-1), Karen Foster Mini Formal Snap Stamps
Card Stock: Brilliant Blue, Pure Luxury (Gina K. Designs), Offbeat (BasicGrey)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red/Yo Yo Yellow/Brilliant Blue Stampin' Write markers, Copic Markers, Spica Glitter pens
Accessories: Creative Memories 12-inch Decorative Trimmer, Square punch, Scotch Foam Tape

I have made a tough decision, and decided to step down from the Starving Artistamps team. I don't have as much time to stamp as I have in the past, and I think Tracey deserves more. I will continue to use my stamps though...and will use Donna's dicount code for my future purchases (for any of you who have used my code in the past, it's found in her sidebar).

Thanks for stopping by today...and be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I've made in celebration of Melanie's Blogoversary Celebration! Have a great day!!

Decorate the Tree

Stamps: Small Dots background, Santa's Sweet Shoppe, Casual Holiday Greetings,
Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Close to Cocoa, VersaMark, Copic markers, Gold Spica glitter pen
Accessories: Stickles, Alpine Ribbon Originals (SU)
Hi everyone! This is the other card that I had mentioned yesterday. Do you have your tree up yet? We do not, but will probably attempt it this coming weekend. It's sooo much work, but really makes the home festive, doesn't it?

I used my DoodleFactory Santa's Sweet Shoppe stamps once again for my card. The colors are not correct in the photo. Kiwi is the base, and the accent color is red (almost looks pink here). I will try to play around with it, if I get a chance.

I was laying in bed pondering this idea of a card, and I'm glad it ended up working out pretty well. I omitted the star from the tree, and stamped it on a small scrap so that I could help Butterscot place the star himself (with Marmalade's help...of course). The tree has red Stickles all over it, and is popped with foam tape. The star is popped as well, and colored with my Gold Spica glitter pen. Marmalade's crown is also colored with Spica pens. The ribbon is stitched felt from SU. Chalk up another Christmas card. *wink*

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

I don't know about you all, but I sure am tired after the long holiday weekend! I spent a lot of time with the family, which didn't include much stamping at all. We had a nice Thanksgiving, tho...and now the kids are back in school (they were hoping for a snow day today, but no luck for them). I managed to get a couple of cards stamped, and I'm showing you Gio with his yummy treat. Yep...it's a simple card, but aren't these images just too cute? They are from my DoodleFactory Sweet Shoppe set from Starving Artistamps. I decided to use some googlie eyes and bling buttons. I am so happy to add another Christmas card to my pile!

I have to go out and shovel the driveway now, so I had better get going. I will catch you later, when I'm "hoppin" (blog that is). Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful week!!

Halloween Shadowbox

Stamps: Witch's Brew, GraveYard Shift, DoodleFactory Halloween (Starving Artistamps)
Card Stock: Spooky Collection (Memory Box), Neenah Solar White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Black Stampin' Write marker, Copic markers
Accessories: Scor-Pal, Scor Tape, Coluzzle with Oval template, Basic Black eyelets & setting kit, Ribbon Tags Trio (Spellbinders), Rain Dots, May Arts ribbon, Tombo Mono Multi glue, Glue Dots, Scotch foam tape

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend! They just fly by, don't they?

I am still working on finishing up my Halloween cards, and I thought a Shadowbox card might be fun (Dawn's tutorial here). I have included the October DD/DDA challenge into this as well. We were to make a Halloween card without any pumpkins, but had to include google eyes. The DoodleFactory line of stamps from Starving Artistamps are perfect for google eyes (IMHO).

I have used stamps from my DoodleFactory Halloween, and Halloween II sets to made this. I haven't used eyelets in soooo long, and I think I got my workout here (I used the older method to place them all). My Coluzzle with the Oval template was used for the cut out window, and my Scor-Pal for the perfect scores. The candy has Dew Drops for added sparkle and dimension, and the tag is from the Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy Fright Night!

Stamps: GraveYard Shift, Mummy (from DoodleFactory Halloween)
Card Stock: Black, Neenah Solar White, Gable Green, Memory Box Spooky Collection
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Sketch markers, Spica Glitter pens, Black Stampin' Write marker, Black Micron pen
Accessories: Ticket Corner punch, My Way punch, Dew Drops, Crystal Effects, paper piercer & template, Scotch foam tape

Hi everyone! I need to finish up a few Halloween cards, so I grabbed my GraveYard Shift, and Mummy from DoodleFactory Halloween. I thought they all looked cute together. Originally I was going to place them all in a line as if they were trick-or-treating together. I decided to change it up for something different. These little guys were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White card stock, and colored with my Copic markers. I trimmed them all, and mounted them to my card with Scotch foam tape. I used a marker to ink each word of the sentiment to stamp on each arrow (punched with my My Way SU punch). The corners of the Spooky paper were punched with my Ticket Corner punch, and Dew Drops were added. I also added a few faux stitches in opposite corners.

My daughter has been sick for the last couple of days. I hope she starts feeling better soon, so I can get caught up on my stamping. She seems to be improving, but I'm sure the boys will probably end up sick as well. We'll see.

Have you all checked out the October Dirty Dozen Gallery yet? I am a music lover, so I really enjoyed this month's theme, and all of the awesome creations that the girls came up with! Here's the link to the gallery: October Gallery (you have to be a member to view)

Back to Halloween

I decided to pull out some of my Starving Artistamps DoodleFactory Halloween stamps that I haven't used yet. Isn't Goo so cute? I saw this layout a long time ago, and made a note of it. I just used a plate to get the curve on the card front. The patterned paper is from the SU Ghostly Greetings pack.

Stamps: GraveYard Shift, Trick or Treat
Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss, Neenah Solar White, Ghostly Greetings (SU)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Sketch markers
Accessories: May Arts ribbon, Rain Dots, Scotch Foam Tape

I have been pretty busy with 5th grade homework these last few days. I have not had as much time on the computer, but hope to do some blurfing a little later. Can't wait to see what you're up to!!

Lorelei Is Brewing...

..up some trouble. I think it can't be too bad, 'cause she is too cute to be one of those nasty "Witch of the West" types. I made this card for the monthly Dirty Dozen/Alumni challenge. This month it was all about no layers and required masking. Also no pink was allowed.

Click photo to zoom

I figured there would be quite a few light-colored cards in the grouping to allow for coloring, so I chose to go green. A perfect witchy color, I think. The images are from my new Witch's Brew set. Even though the card is green, I colored with my Copic Sketch markers, which gave a nice subtle coloring to this. I also highlighted areas with my Spica glitter pens. Of course it looks much nicer IRL (don't they all?). I used my Martha Stewart border punch, as I thought it looked really cool with the bubbles from the brew. I also used Crystal Effects to add shine and dimension to the bubbles. My Horizonal Slot punch was used to help with my ribbon treatment. Of course it would only reach the one side, so I made a template to for the other side...and trimmed it out with my hobby blade. The awesome ribbon was purchased at Lindsey's store.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope I didn't offend anyone by posting a witch today. It's all in good fun, and that's all.

Stamps: Witch's Brew (Starving Artistamps/DoodleFactory)
Card Stock: Parsley Memory Box Note Cards
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Copic Sketch markers, Spica Glitter pens
Accessories: Martha Stewart Simple Scallop Edge punch, Horizontal Slot punch, Crystal Effects, May Arts ribbon

Swedish Collage Challenge

Tracey at Starving Artistamps is challenging everyone who wants to play, to make a Swedish Collage-type card. Everyone who participates will be put into a raffle to win a full sheet of unmounted rubber stamps (your choice). The challenge runs until October 1st, and you may find out all of the details >>>>right here<<<<.

Ok...so I admit this is a bit wild and crazy for me, but I wanted my collage card to be a Halloween theme, since I have recently received my new DoodleFactory Halloween II stamps. The fence is from my DoodleFactory Country set. The "boo" is die cut with my Red Tag Sale Alphabet Cuttlebug dies, and glitterfied with my Dazzling Diamonds. The swirls are Sizzix Scribbles Swirls (I bought mine through SU). Patterned paper is the Hello Sunshine collection from Cosmo Cricket. I'm not going to list all of the "ingredients", but if you have questions, please let me know.

I hope I didn't hurt your eyes today. Thanks for visiting, and have a great weekend!!
