A shabby mixed media page for Les Papiers de Pandore

Hello there.
It's really nice to be back with a layout to share again! It's been tooo long since I created a page....I bet some of you wondered if I would post ever again considering how quiet it's been  around here. It has actually been almost three months since my last post....!

I used primarily the latest colletion called Carte Postale, but also a few bits and bobs from other recent collections.
The large flair button is from the earlier Crochetin collection.
I made the title with a little something I found in my stash and of course the flowers are almost exclusively by Prima :-)

I have been longing to do a little mixed media. On this page I used a light touch but had lots of fun. I have really missed getting my hands messy :-) Lots of gesso, paint, mists and other goodies here on this background that I created.

After almost everything else was in place I decorated with my Finnabair Art Stones.
To match the darker papers and tie it all together I sprayed the
stones carefully with  Tattered Angels Graphite mist.
I love that it is not totally the hard black colour but rather
a softer dark grey.

Ok, so that's it for today.
I hope you enjoyed my page. I sure loved making it :-) ....

Hope to see you soon again!!
I must say I'm really looking forward to some free time to visit all
my favourite blogs soon!

'My first Home' for Blue Fern Studios.

Recently I posted a few pages on the Blue Fern Studios blog.
I was in the UK last week celebrating my eldest daughters graduation from university and must admit I am a little behind wity posting my projects here on my own personal blog,....But here is one of them !!

This page is based upon a pink paper from the Montage collection.
On top is a paper from the Deja Vu collection. As yo can see the collections mix very well.
-Especially when you add a litttle mixed media here and there. :-)
I 'framed' the whole page with the largest sized Graduated Squares, painted white then inked around.

The gorgeous piece of chipboard below the picture is one of the recent shapes and called
Rock Wall Bits. I painted it beige, stamped on it and added some pink glitter.
The part of the Grunge Frames chipboard piece visible above the photo was given the same treatment.
I just love to add glitter to my pages at the moment :-)

The cute small dots scattered all over my page are the insides of then alpha stickers that I used.

Finally a better look at the Prima resin by Ingvild Bolme. It is such  a beautiful and decorative piece!!

That was all for now, Hope you feel a little bit inspired and that I'll  see you here again soon!
Take care!

Another page for Blue Fern Studios.

As I planned my projects for the Blue Fern Studios DT this month I thought I must do something to show the Deja Vu collection has got other colours as well, not only the lilac/yellow combo that I am so partial to, but even offers other beautiful possibilities.

Here is my second page:

I am sorry the picture is not better but this is my second go and it didn't improve much.
Hopefully you can see the important pasrts anyway :-)

I used a green sheet for the background and the wood patterned paper on top. As these are pretty neutral you can really pick almost any colour to add as accents and embellishments.

Here are a few close ups too:

I used the new 'Deja Vu border chippie' painted green as a base for my page. I added a summery photo and picked pretty, illuminant yellow and red to go with it. It's such a vibrant and energetic combination. The photo was taken on the beach and I love the light in it!

I included a chipboard from the 'Ironworks accents' as a base for a small embellishmentcluster.

Thye title was made up of a metal word from the Ingvild Bolme collctionby Prima, 'Bliss*

I used a mix of pretty Prima flowers and other brands.
I love having a large flower stash to chose from.

This ornamental chipboard border that goes with the Deja Vu collection is one of my preferred
pieces right now. I hope  you found some inspiring detail in my page today and that
you will be back to visit soon again.

Have a lovely day!

'Moments in Time' for Lemoncraft, using 'Heart painted'

I was so happy when I received the latest papers that Anna/Brises created for us.
Surely you all agree it is simply a beautiful and well composed collection!

As usual I have prepared a couple of scrapbookinglayouts to show you how I use them.

Here's my first page with a picture of my youngest daughter and our little cat who thinks she is the boss of our house :-)

Here are a few close ups of some details.

In the picture above you can see the beautiful white fabric-flower from Lemoncraft. It has some lovely stones in the center to make it something extra.
The large bloom in the picture below is by Prima Marketing.

I used a couple of Sizzix dies here, The round one is the gorgeous scallop circle, which happens to be one of my real favourites!!  I also used the row of scallops that came with the starter set of the new Big Shot Plus. (Love, love, LOVE it!! See it HERE )
Everything else was fussy cut from the Lemoncraft patterned papers.
I spent quite a while in front of the TV cutting out pretty designs.

In the background there is some mixed media light going on. The title is by Blue Fern Studios as is also the dainty little caige that I painted a neutral dark green colour.

Layering cute suplies is so much fun!
The largish butterfly in the picture below is cut out and glued down with a pop dot.

Thanks for looking!

Have a great week! <3 <3 <3

Something blue for Lemoncraft.

Hi there. This is turning out to be some seriously beautiful Springafternoon!!
I shouldn't really be inside, but I am trying to get the last things sorted before I move to my new appartment in a couple of days.! I still have not caught up as far as posting my projects here
so I thought I'd share a page I did for Lemoncraft a little while back.

I used papers from the lovely and delicate 'Forget Me Not' collection that is predominantly a gorgeous blue colour. It's got beautiful flowery patterns as well. It's a favourite :-)

I used a die that Tim Holtz designed for Sizzix to make the rosette flower (below) and did some cute paper rolling to add some extra interest to my page. Some of the pretty flowers are sold by Lemoncraft and others are by Prima or Papirdesign.

The chipboard title and other bits here are by Blue Fern Studio and I treated them with some paint, mist and gesso. On top I added some liquid pearls.

I am a very big fan of the stecil that Finnabair made for Prima. It's like a mini checkerbpoard. I could use it on almost all my pages,...( and probably do,..lol!)

Stickers are by Papirdesign., but October Afternoon make similar ones.
What's so great with these are that they have all the odd and special letters you'll find in the Scandinavian alphabet and that's just so cool!!

That was all for now!!
I hope you like this and thanks for any comm ents in advance.
I love to read your little messages! :-)

Take care!!

Sweet and romantic, 'Dream Big' for Lemoncraft.

Hi, today I want to share a page that I made some time back for my Polish DT Lemoncraft.
I picked a picture of my goddaughter and created a sweet and romantic girly page around it.

I used beautiful papers from the 'Just Love Me Collecton' and added gesso and mist to make
it more personal.

The beautiful chipboard title word is by Blue Fern Studios and painted green to match. I fussy cut parts of the well designed papers and stamped around the edges with a grid-stamp by Kaisercraft.
The flowers are mainly from my stash both by Prima and no brand flowers.

Just look at those lovely blue eyes. No filters needed here :-)

Thanks for looking! Hope to see you here again soon.
Thanks for any comments you leave. Those are greatly appreciated :-)

'On My Own' using Marion Smith Designs 'Posh' collection

Hi there! I  hope you are all well and rested after all the Christmas festivities :-)
I am sorting out 'my house' and throwing things away and the whole place is a bit of a mess at the moment, but hopefully things will be better soon,....
I have a page to share today that I made with a previous kit from Scraps of Elegance.
The papers and some of the embellishments are by Marion Smith Designs.
It's all very yummy, and the collection is called 'Posh'.

I have mixed up the patterns quite a bit and added beautiful Prima Marketing flowers in matching colours. The small hanging clock,(that I painted with gesso) is by Marion Smith as well as the fresh white resin rose above the photo. ( Junque & Gems collection)
You may have noticed thet I have scrapped quite a few photos of me lately,........
They are all from a photo session we had over in Wales when I was invited to the Sizzix European HQ. Paula Pascual, who is a Sizzix blogger as well as designs dies for them, offered to photograph myself and two of the other girls. We had a good laugh and a thoroughly enjoyable time! I am pleased with how the photos turned out.

Talking about Sizzix,...I used the 'Scalloped circle' here as well as the greenery from 'English Garden' framelits set.

Most of the Prima flowers here are from the 'Cigar Box Secrets' collection.

As you may have seen, I will be part of the awesome Blue Fern Studios team for 2015
and I have used some of their chipboards on this page.  As you can see I used the clock and clockhands as well as the butterfly.

I did a lot of layering on this page and it was quite fun to make.

I painted around some of the design elements with gesso to calm the patterns a little and in that way make certain parts stand out more.

I hope you like my page and  I really enjoyed making something that has nothing whatsoever to do with the season. -Actually today was the first day we had  'real Winter' this year.
For the first time we woke up to some snow and it was actually 10 degrees below zero (centigrade), -so really cold for us here in the southern parts of Sweden :-)

Take care and I'll see you soon again!

A 'kitty-page ' for Scraps of Elegance kits using Graphic 45's 'Raining Cats and Dogs'

Hi, I hope you are all well and relaxed as we near one of the most important holidays of the year.

Here in Sweden we actually celebrate the 24th, which is Christmas Eve , as opposed to many of you who will say that Christmas is really on December 25th. I cannot say that I am ready for it, but with all the changes around here I honestly don't expect Christmas to be anything like it used to.
We shall just hope that next year has a lot of good things waiting for my girls and me:-)

Today I have one more page to share from the Scraps of Elegance December kit; 'Ever True'

This time I used the lovely Graphic 45 products from their recent collection 'Raining Cats and Dogs'
The collection is so great for all kinds of pages, but especially pages about those little pets
of ours that brighten up even the greyest of days.

Our little 'Miss Lady' is here completely dolled up in an accessory that she most certainly thinks very fitting.
These cute little crowns are included in the kit.

Lots of great Graphic 45 touches here. I used both stickers and chipboard by them, as well as a tag from some recent clothing that I bought. (The black one).

There are always a ot of pretty flowers in the kit and floral add on.
These are by Prima Marketing from the 'Cigar Box Secrets' collection.

Finally a close up of the central part of my page that shows how I have layered different elements of paper and embellishments. Behind the photo are a couple of  pages from the 3x4 ATC block that was also included in my kit.

As you see there is so much goodness in these kits that Melinda so expertly puts together for us.
The December kit is actually my last one from Scraps of Elegance and I shall surely miss finding them in my mailbox. I have truly enjoyed my year on the SOE team.

Hugs!!

Another page with the Scraps of Elegance October kit.

The Bo Bunny papers in the kit belong to the 'Madeleine' collection and they are sooo pretty!
This page features a photo of my sister and me that we took on our holiday this Summer.
We went to the Swedish island of Öland, which is kind of a Swedish summer paradise with
the most hours of sun in the whole country.
It was beautiful!

The wide lace from the kit is really pretty. For this project I wanted to dye it to make it a strong accent on my page. I used mist from my stash to do it.

Did you see the large roses I used here?
They are very feminine and pretty and look so nice with the lace.
As always Melinda put together a beautiful kit for us!!

I cut a couple of dainty butterflies using the Sizzix /Prima butterfly die Winged Beauties

That's all for now. I hope you enjoyed my page!

'Bo Bunny 'Madeleine' for 'Scraps of Elegance' kits.

Hi!
A while ago I received my gorgeous October kit from Scraps of Elegance containing an abundance of beautiful papers from Bo Bunny and Marion Smith.
Lots of flowers from Prima and Bo Bunny, too.

Here is another one of my pages:

I spent quite some time working on my background, unfortunately it does not photograph very well.

I used quite a few of the Bo Bunny Madeleine diecuts and the sticker sheet to embellish my page.
That little birdcages is so cute.

The grid stamp is made by Kaiser Craft and from my stash as is the mix of different mists and
paints that I used here.

These cute little flower beauties were sent as a a gift from my very sweet and utterly adorable
friend  Eila Sandberg. She is such a kind and generous person.

I love the largish purple rose from Prima. Those will pack a punch on any page.

That's all for now. Thanks for brightening my days with yuor visits and kind comments! <3 <3
