'Bo Bunny 'Madeleine' for 'Scraps of Elegance' kits.

Hi!
A while ago I received my gorgeous October kit from Scraps of Elegance containing an abundance of beautiful papers from Bo Bunny and Marion Smith.
Lots of flowers from Prima and Bo Bunny, too.

Here is another one of my pages:

I spent quite some time working on my background, unfortunately it does not photograph very well.

I used quite a few of the Bo Bunny Madeleine diecuts and the sticker sheet to embellish my page.
That little birdcages is so cute.

The grid stamp is made by Kaiser Craft and from my stash as is the mix of different mists and
paints that I used here.

These cute little flower beauties were sent as a a gift from my very sweet and utterly adorable
friend  Eila Sandberg. She is such a kind and generous person.

I love the largish purple rose from Prima. Those will pack a punch on any page.

That's all for now. Thanks for brightening my days with yuor visits and kind comments! <3 <3

Don't you just love Happy mail and snail mail,...?

Hello scrappy peeps!

Today I'd like to share a little something I published on the Sizzix UK blog a little while ago.
It's a fun 'new' thing I discovered from my eldest daughter. Yup, I'm sure you have all heard about it before ; SNAILMAIL.

Admit it, for most of you it has an oldfashioned ring to it and you probably have not sent one for years. For the young people (and even slightly older :-) ) there is now something cool and fun about snailmail. There are several clubs where you can connect with likeminded to correspond with eachother. -Much like the old penpal-clubs I remember from my highschool days.

Here is the set we prepared and are sending off  to DD's friend Hillevi who's in London:

As you see we have not written the letter yet at this point, -maybe because we did not want it published all over the internet,...LOL!  Of course it looks a lot cooler with the text in place, but at least the base for the letter is there.
One thing not to miss when you send a snailmail is the ever popular 'tuck in' -the little something that you add to the envelope to make it all more interesting. I have made a few 'bagatelles' with my Sizzix dies to tuck in as well as added some old book pages, doilies and some pretty flair buttons.

I started by cutting down the 12X12 paper to a good letter size. I misted it and added a strip of paper where I wanted the name to go. Hillevi is really into movies and all that stuff so we thought the filmstrip die was a good one to grab and the chipboards for the name was made with a Bigz alphabet. Then I added some black chalk to make them stand out more.
Just take a look at those dainty little butterflies, die cut from an old book page. Those belong to one of Paula Pascual's new die sets. They are so precious!

In the photo above is the birthday baner I made to tuck in and I will present it in a small vellum envelope. You can also see the cute frame made with one of the new awesome cool thinlits sets. I added a couple of those cut from different papers. The 'smile' and the couple cut from red cardtock in the main photo are also from one of the new thinlits sets.
These are all rather nice little 'gifts' for those who don't own a Big Shot machine.

I actually made some decorative chipboard decorations using my frameworks dies.  The fact that you can cut 'almost anything' with them is one of the many reasons to love the Bigz dies. These chippies have been painted with gesso and then  misted with Prima's new Color Bloom mists and I think they look really nice. Especially considering they were made from an empty box of dishwasher tablets :-D I think they have certainly come up in the world :-)

Another cute little something that I made is a small sign for her to hang somewhere in her room. I imagine it dangling from a key for a cupboard or a wardrobe.

I diecut the quote and backed it with different coloured papers. Then I added a red frame all around before glueing it to a piece of thin cardboard. I used a heavy embroidery needle to add the red and white bakers twine.

Gorgeous Sizzix products that I have used:

Thanks for looking ! So nice to see you here :-)

Guest designing with Ruby Rock-It

Hi there! I am a little behind with posting  my assignments for different design teams lately.
I've been busy scrapping up a storm and discovered that I have so much I did not share!
Today I want to show you some different projects that I made as a guest designer for the Australian based manufacturer Ruby Rock-It.  (Here is the post on their blog)

First a page in the mixed media style that  kept pretty light and more in my ususal style.
I was given a collection called 'Handi Scandi'
It was way out of my comfort zone so I did my best to adapt it to my style.

Page number two is not in my usual style, but I tried to take my cue from the papers and from my cute pictures of DD and our little kitty. I used some of the cutesy elements that came with the collection. The papers are of excellent quality andd I love that one side is kraft (many with glitter ;.)) and the other side 'regular'. The embellishments are great too and fabulous for cards.

Here are a couple of close up of some embellishments:

I loved the wooden embellishments they sent me. Here I used the deer to embellish the front of a mini album. I made a raised frame/box using cardstock and pop dots

Finally I made some cute cards using some of the layered diecuts from  the  'Handi Scandi' collection.

Thank you so much Ruby Rock-It for having me and thanks to you all for dropping by to take a look!
Hugs!

Wonderful Moments' using 'Scraps of Elegance October kit 'Pretty Things'.

Today I have a first page to share that I made with the October kit from Scraps of Elegance.

The papers I used  belong to the lovely 'Madeleine' collection from Bo Bunny.
I think they have produced a lot of very pretty collectios lately and have quickly become
one of my favourite manufacturers at the moment.

In addition to the papers I have used some flowers, bling stones, die cuts, stickers and brads from Bo Bunny on this page. And all of those is included in the kit/add on

This is a very layered page. I used a lot of the diecuts to build up all the layers.

The photo was taken a couple of years ago at the family summer house in the South of France.
With the French captions on the papers I thought that was very suitable :-)

This kit is called 'Pretty Things',... and that's no lie I'm telling you!
There are sooo many nice elements in thes kit you have to see it! just take a look here!

Cute Fox face for Sizzix UK

Today I want to tell you about my new project for Sizzix UK.
I actually made something out of felted fabric this time and not a card or layout. I still used my wonderful Sizzix dies however, and his time I'd like to remind you of the versatility of the Bigz dies.
You think of a craft material and chances are the Bigz die will be able to cut it. These steel rule dies are very strong and you can also cut several layers of paper at once.
Saves time if you have a lot you need to do.

Today I made a sweet project with one of Debi Potter's cute 'Woodland Creatures'; the Fox face.
Here is a sneak and you can see all of it HERE
I would love for you to visit and tell me what you think of the lovely dies.

Thanks for looking!
Hugs!

'My Happy face' for Papirdesign.

Hello all my scrapbooking friends! I hope you are well!
Today I have a page to show you that I  made for the Norwegian manufacturer Papirdesign a little while ago.
It features a recent picture of me (gasp,...) taken by the multitalented Paula Pascual when we met at the Sizzix HQ this Summer. I don't usually scrap myself and I know I should really do it more often.

I really like this picture. Of course I look far better in the photo than IRL but I don't mind LOL!
We were three girls having a fun photo shoot with Paula and she is such a great photographer :-)

I am afraid that the colours in the first picture are a bit off . I tried to correct them but not very successfully. I think it's the gesso that do it. It's far less prominent in real life.

The gorgeous flowers here are part of the new collection by Papirdesign and Line does really have an incredible selection. Lots of lovely colours and shapes to choose from.
-And did you know that soon you'll be able to buy wooden shapes and sayings, too? Soo cool!

I love to combine different sizes and shapes of flowers. It can sometimes be a challenge, but with so many to choose from this was a breeze :-)

I made this page after a sketch by fellow team mate Ulrika over at the Papirdesign blog.
Even though it's a little late to take part in the challenge you can see the original post HERE.

I hope to be back soon to share some more. I have so much that I have not shared here yet.
So little time so much to do,...if you know what I mean:-)

Tomorrow I'll have a new post up for the Sizzix  DT sharing something I made with
my favourite dies!

Take care and thanks for popping in to see me today!

My latest page for Scraps of Elegance kit club and a couple of tags

Hi there!
I would like to share the latest of my projects I did for Scraps of Elegance kit club this month. Here is a page I made with the beautiful papers from Blue Fern Studio:

The papers are from the 'Garden' collection.

I used a large punch to cut a round shape of my photo and framed it with a die cut doily from the pink sheet of Bazzil paper in the kit.

I love to look at all those gorgeopus flowers. Many are from this months kit, some from the previous one and one or two are from my stash. I also fussy cut some of the pretty cabbage roses from the blue trellis paper in the kit. These I added to my long string of flowers at the bottom and at the top.

I used one of my Sizzix Frameworks dies for the Trellis pattern in brown colour.

The quote is from the die cut shapes by Authentique Papers in the kit.

And just as a reminder of our monthly kit 'Mary's Song' here's the picture of it again:

I also made a couple of tags earlier that I have not shared here on the blog.

I used the stencil by Prima Marketing that came in the kit. The light green leaves are made with a Sizzix die/stamp set that I use a lot called English garden.

Most of the flowers on the tags are from the kit as are the papers as well.

The gorgeous butterfly is by Reneabouquets and there are always a couple of those in the
Scraps of Elegance kits. That's one of the awesome things about it!!
