The Classic Halloween Song. It's probably lip-synched, but still, fun! I'd never seen a "live" version before. And below is a very funny updated version featuring more recent movie "monsters."

I always feel as if I haven't found enough really creepy bits, so if I come across any more this weekend, I'll update this post.

Geo 365: Dec. 9, Day 343: Hydrocephalus Rex

Can't really say if it's true, but to my eye, this guy's head is just too damn big. Prehistoric Gardens again.

Geo 365: Dec. 8, Day 342: Prehistoric Gardens

We both agreed that this wasn't going to fit on this trip, but Dana wanted to stop and check it out. Established in 18 1955, and reflecting perhaps a bit of the actual scientific knowledge of that era, it is what it is, and you know exactly what you're going to get. I've never actually been into this "feature." and as far as I can remember, this was the first time I'd even stopped. I think this Yelp review sums it up perfectly: "The best way to describe this place is: big dumb concrete dinosaurs in the middle of the forest. That being said, it was a random, fun, hokey roadtrip stop."

I suspect the best way to enjoy this attraction is thoroughly intoxicated, but that leaves the driver plain out of luck.

Know What I Did Last October? (Or "Halloween: The Ambushing.")

Interzone Nickelle sewed me up a pretty floral bonnet for Halloween, and I went around all day swearing by it. The shirt was a little tight, but it's the most cowboyish thing I own.

Interzone Bill took some photos with my camera, but I only today figured out how to get them onto this computer with out a whole lot of fuss. Take the memory card out and stick it into the appropriate slot. I don't like handling the memory card, but apparently, it's not that big a deal.

A Better Pagan Holiday than Even Christmas

Today's EPOD

I am currently wearing a pretty floral bonnet, thanks to a couple of IZ friends, one of whom actually sewed it, and the other who has applied pressure over the last couple of days, saying this is just too  good of an idea to *not* make it happen. Bill took a few photos earlier, but I have to download those to my old computer, then transfer them by thumb drive to this one- my camera and this computer aren't on speaking terms. The following are some fun bits I've come across in recent days... enjoy!

Magma Cum Laude finds a folded outcrop of evil rocks.

Dr. Skyskull explains how, when you die, a certain portion of your body will become zombie-like. And I haven't found a good sample of creepy stuff, so I recommend reading more of that blog here.

I don't think I'm capable of letting a Halloween pass without a version of All Soul's Night:
And I don't think I've ever actually posted this one before, though for the life of me I can't think why.
Have a fun evening, everyone!
