Good day!
How's everyone doing? I created this post a few days ago but rather than hit publish, I must have just saved it. On top of that, I've been out of town, and didn't realize it until it was brought to my attention. Sorry to my friends at CASE-ing Christmas for being late this time!
This month we are CASE-ing a beautiful card made by Donna. Check it out!
And here is the card I made.
I chose to keep the layout the same, but went with a different color combo. And yep, you're seeing things correctly, I went with traditional red and green this time. I love the simplicity of this design, and how the snow sparkles a bit, thanks to the Stickles I added to each snow drift. It had been a LONG time since I'd added a bow to any of my cards. I struggled a bit to get it perfect, but love how it turned out.
I do hope you'll head over to the challenge blog to see what my friends have created for you this month. As always, they're all pretty fantastic. Don't forget, you have until the 30th to play along, and there is a prize to be given away to one lucky participant. Christmas is not that far away, so hopefully you'll get the chance to play along, and add another card to your stash.
Have a wonderful day!

CASE-ing Christmas October Challenge
Greetings!
How's it going? Did you have a good weekend? I'm hoping you were able to spend some time getting crafty. The temps have been crisp and cool, and downright chilly around here lately. I love it, but don't like being out in it. lol Instead, I stayed in and played with all of my crafty supplies. I also did laundry, and made a huge pot of veggie beef soup. Yum! Since my daughter worked all weekend, it kept me occupied. I decided I needed to get everything done this weekend as I have a busy week ahead, and we'll be in Kansas City for Wicked next week. So excited!! I can't wait to see how my daughter enjoys her first Broadway play. :-)
It's the 5th of the month, which brings us to our next CASE-ing Christmas challenge. This month we're CASEing Asha. Here is her beautiful card.
And here is the card I made.
I stuck to the colors and layout, almost identically. I've had these dies for a while, and this is the first time I've used them. I sponged the background with distress inks, added the snow with a stencil and embossing paste and added the tree. I cut the sentiment out three times, and layered them on top of one another, then embossed them with gold embossing powder. I totally love how this turned out! It's a bit busy, but in real life, it's got gorgeous shine from the embossing powder and the beautiful Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Now I've got another card to add to my stash. Yes!
I'm going to enter this card for the following challenges.
Sparkle & Shine Challenge #15: Inspiration Poto (I was inspired by the grouping of blues)
ABC Challenge: S is for Sprinkles (I used gold embossing powder)
Christmas Cards All Year 'Round October Challenge: No Stamping
CASual Chic Challenge #4: Tic Tac Toe'ing (I chose stenciling, die cutting & embossing)
Glitter & Sparkle Challenge #157: Anything Goes (my sequins and gold embossing sparkle)
I do hope you head over to see what my friends have created for you this month. With CASE-ing Christmas being a monthly challenge now, that gives you plenty of time to play along with us. Thanks for stopping by!
Stay crafty my friends!

CASE-ing Christmas September Challenge
Greetings!
I am SO excited that the weekend is finally here, AND, it's a three day weekend at that! I got to sleep in this morning, and I get to sleep in again tomorrow and Monday too. Woot! We have no real plans of doing much, except maybe BBQing some ribs, and catching that movie I promised my daughter. Aside from that, it's going to be a relaxing weekend, I hope.
Anyway, onto why you're here today. This month we are CASEing Mynn, at CASEing Christmas. Here is her adorable card.
And here is my card.
I kept the layout the same, but went for a different color combo and theme. I do have a few people on my Christmas card list, who don't speak English, so this will go to one of them. You can't really tell from the photo, but there is a small line of Stickles along each of the snow drifts, for some added sparkle. I was excited to finally put my new Bossy Joscie flair to good use too. I love this peppermint looking piece. It was perfect for this card. This will add to my stash of Christmas cards nicely. I'm going to enter this for the following challenges.
House of Cards September Challenge: Stitch It Up
Simon's Monday Challenge: Trio of Colors (light blue, white and red)
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes
Try It On Tuesday: Try Something New (I've never used flair, or the snow drift dies before)
Jingle Belles: Tree Skirt Tic-Tac-Toe (I chose stamping, die cuts & glitter)
I hope you head over to the CASEing Christmas blog to see what everyone has created today. I also hope you get to play along with us this month. What better time, than right now, to start building your Christmas card stash, right? :-)
Have a safe and happy holiday weekend my friends!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #28
Greetings!
How's your week going? Mine is crazy, after being gone for four days last week, but it's worth it. Our trip to Dallas was very educational, exciting, and fun. Three college visits down, two more to go. Today is Wednesday, so I can see the weekend light at the end of the tunnel approaching. I am going to be a total bum, and do as little as possible. I need to catch up on some much needed rest. I hope your weekend will include lots of fun, and hopefully some crafting. :-)
The next CASE-ing Christmas challenge is posted, and there are a couple of changes. We have new design team members, and we are now a monthly challenge blog, with posts going live on the 5th of each month. There is also a monthly prize to be won. Who doesn't like prizes, right? To kick things off, this month's CASE card just happens to be one of mine. Here is the original.
And here is my CASE'd card.
I stuck to the design, but changed up the colors and elements. I love this new to me stitched hearts border die. I was happy I got to use it, finally. I switched out the pearl for a jingle bell, and embossed the sentiment, and called it done. It's a pretty simple card, and it's fairly flat, so it will mail nicely. I'm excited to have another Christmas card ready to send at the end of the year. I'm going to enter this for the following challenges.
Christmas Cards All Year Round: Snowflakes
Crazy 4 Challenges #297: Include the word Happy on your project.
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes
Simon's Wednesday Challenge: Tie It Up
I hope you'll head over to the CASE-ing Christmas blog to see what fabulous inspiration is posted for you. I also look forward to seeing how you interpret my original card. Can't wait to see them all, and visit your blogs!
Have a wonderful day!

I love the reindeer, with the ornaments hanging from his antlers. He's so festive. For a bit of added interest, I used my clear Wink of Stella pen on the ornaments, for some sparkle. So pretty in real life.

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #25
Happy Friday!
How is everyone doing today? Around here, softball season is in full swing, so there has been a lot of work, and hanging out at the ball fields. I'm not complaining though, my tan is coming along quite nicely. lol All of the games are packed into the months of June and July, so we have been at two to three games per week, plus Saturday tournaments. With it being so crazy at work, on top of trying to go to as many games as I can, I have had very little crafting time. It's all worth it though. My daughter is going into her senior year of high school, and I don't want to miss a minute of it. I only have one child, so this is it. Her last year of school, SAT/ACT's, college visits and applications. Wow...it has all come much to quickly for this mama. *sigh*
Anyway, enough rambling. There is a new CASE-ing Christmas challenge posted. This week we are CASEing Ellen. Here is her beautiful card.
And here is my CASE.
I chose the layout and colors this week. I wanted to try a new (to me) technique of layering patterned papers under the focal point. In all, I think it turned out ok, but I'm not sure it is exactly how I wanted it. It'll grow on me though, I'm sure. Either way, it's another Christmas card for my stash.
I do hope you'll head over to see what the other designers have created for you. Their interpretations of Ellen's card this week are awesome. Maybe you'll get the chance to play along, and start building your Christmas card stash. :-)
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #23
Hiya!
I hope everyone has had a great week, and is going to get some crafty time in, this weekend. As you read this, I am on vacation in Atlanta, visiting one of my awesome crafty friends. This is my first time visiting Atlanta, so I'm looking forward to seeing the city, and trying the yummy food they have to offer.
Since today is Friday, I have a new CASE-ing Christmas challenge for you. This week we are CASEing Judy. Here is her beautiful card.
And here is my interpretation.
I chose to stick with the layout, and colors this time. I had been DYING to try THIS idea from Laura Bassen (she's one of my favorite crafty people), and this gave me the opportunity to do so. I think it turned out ok. My Copic coloring needs a lot of practice, but I'm happy to have done something outside of my normal box. It's a very clean Christmas card, and I love that about it.
The other designers have created some amazing cards to share with you today. I hope you get the chance to go check them out. We always enjoy it when you get the chance to join us too!
Have a wonderful weekend!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #20
Hello, hello!
How is everyone? I hope you've all been busy crafting up a storm, and enjoying the weather we've all had. Unfortunately, work has been chaos and I haven't had time to create much, or be outside much yet. I'm hoping this weekend will be different.
I have another CASE-ing Christmas card for you. This week we are CASEing Anita. Here is her lovely card.
And here is my card.
For my card this week, I chose to CASE the layout. I liked the multiple layers and patterns. I decided on an A2 card, instead of a square card though. I loved the colors from the ColorQ challenge #288, and decided to use them on my card. This is a pretty simple card, and should be easy to mail, as it's not bulky.
I do hope you'll take a minute to go check out what the other designers have created for you today. As usual, they're pretty fantastic! I'm off to work, and then taking my mom to the Minneapolis airport, to surprise her with a birthday trip to see my sister and brother in law in San Francisco. I even spoke to her supervisor at work, so she could have the week off, without her knowing it. I can't wait to see her face!!
Stay crafty my friends!

CASE-ing Chrismas Challenge #18
Greetings!
I apologize for this post being so short, but I overslept, and am now running a bit behind. I wanted to get my card posted though.
It's time for another CASE-ing Christmas challenge. This week we are CASEing Mynn. Here is her beautiful card.
And here is the card I made.
I kept the layout the same, but went for totally different colors. This star background was done with embossing paste and a stencil. I really wanted to use it, for added dimension. I stamped the holly twice, once on patterned paper, and popped it up. After this card was done, I didn't realize how much it looked more like a patriotic card than a Christmas card, but I just left it as is.
That's all for me today. I hope you'll head over to see what the other ladies have posted for you today. They're always pretty fabulous.
Have a great day!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #16
Hola!
Yay for Friday!! As you read this, I am in Minnesota on another crafty retreat. I hadn't been on retreat in over two years, and I've been on three within the last six weeks. lol I'm lucky to have new friends, who are becoming like family. :-)
Since it is Friday, I have another CASE-ing Christmas card for you. This week we're CASE-ing Donna. Here is her card. Isn't it gorgeous?!
I really loved the window idea, and these colors are a lovely, classic color combo. I stuck to the layout for this card, and I also chose to stick with the colors. Here is what I made.
I have had this patterned paper in my stash for a while now. I am happy to finally use some of it. I kept my card simple. I embossed my sentiment and snowflake in white, added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins (I think I'm addicted to these things), and called it done.
I do hope you'll head over to see what the other designers have created for you today. As always, they're all pretty fantastic.
Have a great weekend!
Yay for Friday!! As you read this, I am in Minnesota on another crafty retreat. I hadn't been on retreat in over two years, and I've been on three within the last six weeks. lol I'm lucky to have new friends, who are becoming like family. :-)

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #14
Hello, hello!
I hope you've had a good week, and are planning a fun, craft filled weekend. It's Friday, which brings us to our next CASE-ing Christmas challenge! This week we are CASE-ing Rocky. Here is her card. I love the colors and that bow!
For some reason this card just screamed shaker, to me. I don't know why, but I went with it. I changed the colors, but kept the layout the same. Here is what I created.
I love the combination of these Pretty Pink Posh sequins, seed beads, and snowflakes. In real life this card is so much fun. I hope the recipient of this card enjoys it as much as I do.
I hope you'll head over to see what the other designers have created for you today. They are always so lovely. I'm off to work, and then spend the weekend crafting away again, in Sioux City with friends. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter, filled with family, friends and great food.
Hugs!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #12
Hiya!
This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down to see my second jingle belles challenge card.
It's time for another CASE-ing Christmas challenge. This week we're CASE-ing Pat's card. I love the penguin. Too cute!
And here is what I created.
I focused on the layout again, for this card. You know how I love my non-traditional Christmas colors, so I went for it again. This ribbon from Pretty Pink Posh is gorgeous! I love how it ties as well. Simple, and quick, and another card for my stash. I'm a happy girl. :)
I can't wait for you to see what the other designers have created for you today. They're all pretty great. Hopefully, you'll get the chance to go check them out, and maybe play along. I'm off to work, and then we're headed to Kansas City for the weekend. I can't wait to see Maroon 5. :-)
Have a wonderful weekend!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #10
Greetings!
How's your week been? It's been pretty crazy for me, work wise, but everything else seems to be going pretty well. I'm hoping to spend some time in my crafty room again this weekend. It's supposed to be in the 30's all weekend, which is like a heat wave for us, so I may decide to go play outside instead. lol
Anyway, onto this weeks new CASE-ing Christmas challenge. This week we are CASEing another one of Mynn's cards. I love the simplicity of it, and her use of washi tape.
Here is my interpretation.
I went with the same basic layout, and changed it up slightly. I love the CAS look of this, and the washi tape heart turned out better than I thought it would. I think I'm going to create another of these, but only use the red and white candy stripe washi tape. I think I'm in love with it. I'm going to enter my card for the following challenges.
Merry Monday #148: Use Red & Green
One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #5: Anything Goes (hoping this is close enough to one layer)
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes
I do hope you'll head over to the challenge blog to see the other wonderful cards that are posted. I'll be back soon with another something crafty.
Hugs!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #8
Good day!
Well, I thought I had this post scheduled, but it was saved as a draft, and didn't get posted on time. So sorry for the delay.
This weeks challenge over on the CASE-ing Christmas blog is a card made by Cohenna. I love how adorable it is.
Here is my take on her card.
I had been wanting to use the Bethlehem Border I got from Taylored Expressions, for a while, but hadn't really been able to figure out how. This card was perfect for it. I cut it out twice, and popped a few smaller pieces up, to give it more depth. I also added a star, for obvious reasons, and kept the colors similar. I really love how this turned out.
I'm off to run some errands, and do some cleaning and chores. I do hope you'll head over to the challenge blog to see the other beautiful cards that are posted. As always, they're pretty fantastic.
Have a wonderful day!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #6
Greetings!
I hope that your week has been decent, and has gone by quickly. I'm excited that today's Friday, and I get to sleep in tomorrow and Sunday. It seems that I like sleep, more and more, as I get older. lol I'm also excited that our newest CASE-ing Christmas challenge is posted. Today we are CASE-ing one of Ellen's cards. Isn't it fabulous? I really dig it.
And here is my card this week.
I chose the layout of Ellen's card, and changed the colors. I hadn't used my distress inks much lately, so I thought this would be a great time to get back into them. I also used embossing paste with a stencil, for the first time. I am excited that it actually turned out as well as it did. lol I have a feeling this will become another favorite new thing for me. In general, I just really love this card. I think I'll make a couple more, in different colors. I'm going to submit my card for the following challenges.
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge: Anything Goes
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long: Anything Goes
Completely Christmas Challenge #48: Anything Goes With A Twist (square or rectangle cards)
Winter Wonderland: KISS (Keep It Sweet & Simple)
I do hope you'll head over to the challenge blog to see the other wonderful cards posted today. Maybe you'll be inspired, and play along this week.
Have a great day!
