Every day I keep thinking I am going to blog, but between work, not sleeping from all DH's snoring this week, and just flat out being tired I have managed none.  I find it another Sunday and I am just NOW posting for the week.  It's ok, I'm living a pretty boring life at the moment so there isn't much to tell that would be funny or of interest to you.

I can honestly say that while looking out at work this week seeing this coming down 

That the Kentucky Snow Princess has seen enough, and I am ready for it to go!!  I mean either drop the mother load on us and quit this 4" here and 4" there.  I want a big one so we can be done with Old Man Winter.  So needless to say I have been happy to see the sun the last 3 days. 

Yesterday I took my lovely Momma to breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  I had been craving some of their pancakes with cherries and whip cream.  YUM.  After that we went to Cato's, Two Sisters, and Rudy's something or another, lol.  Anyways, I found this lovely comforter, shams, and bedskirt from JC Penney for $25.  Brand new, still in the bag.  Oh yeah, my Momma does good!!

On our way home we stopped at another JC Penney outlet type store Granny Sales and I purchased these two lovely black leather chairs for a grand total of $43. 

I know, they don't really match anything I have, or anything I plan to decorate with BUT, I LOVE them. 

And they sit really really good, considering they look like they won't. 

Today after Church the family was over for lunch. 

Baked Spaghetti, tossed salad, french bread along with butter pecan cake and lemon cake.

What can I say, Momma and I got cake crazy. 

I had enough left over to take to the couple next door.

Now as I am blogging, DH is lovingly putting up my newest light fixtures.

3 more to go that we have ready. 

We also have a contractor coming in to start our new guest bath this week.

Today DH and I are on our way to Church.

Afterwards we are going to look for my "birthday shoes" I haven't had a chance to pick out from my Momma & Daddy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

As some of you already know, today is my birthday.  So DH and I took most of the weekend to do some fun stuff we had been wanting to do.  So yesterday we drove three hours to here New River Bridge in WV
Unfortunately there was so much fog we couldn't see a thing, barely was able to see to cross the stinkin' thing
So we went to Hawk's Nest instead.

as you noticed by now it was foggy beautiful  from all the raining sunshine there was

but we did see this, which was absolutely amazing and pictures can't do it justice

when we finally made it home my bff had left me this

and of course it made me happy!!

it was my own personal cake with LOTS of icing, yum!!

I had it at midnight to only be fair.

This morning I woke up to breakfast in bed which DH was gracious enough to NOT dirty my kitchen and go to Hardee's for my favorite chicken and biscuit.

On the tray was a rose.

My favorite one, yellow with a red tip.  My Daddy started getting those for me when I was in 8th grade.

Now that he is gone, I still love them.  DH is usually good about getting me at least one for my birthday in my flowers.

When I finally got myself awake this morning, I found the other 11 roses.

We went to church and had a great service!

Then we went out and took these around home today

Sunday morning

and I am up alone. It's so nice and quiet. Actually kind of peaceful at this moment other than DH over there snoring in the bed, but that's ok, that's peaceful sound too. I would say it has been crazy around here, but that wouldn't be true until yesterday. I don't know what is up with me or my body, but it seems I can't get enough sleep. The last week and a half I have slept the hour home from work, and had a bite of something and then off to bed for me.
The weekend has flew by. Friday after work I hit Wally World for about 45 minutes while I waited on DH to finish up at the office. Yesterday morning when I finally got up around 10ish (unusual in it's self since I am an early bird on weekends, I am usually done all my grocery shopping etc on Saturday morning by 7am) then DH and I washed, cleaned inside, and waxed both vehicles. Whew......
Then I went and got my hair done. I came out thinking, "wow this looks nice, maybe DH and I can go out" Uh huh...he was a sleep on the couch. Oh well.
That has been my exciting weekend. I am getting ready to fix breakfast when I get done with my cup of coffee then off to church. DH wants to go to Bass Pro after church, Yeah!
Oh yeah, I actually got my other blog going for our family that lives all across the U.S., unfortunately this week I am find it difficult to blog on either site, lol.

Another Weekend Gone

Sunday came in a rush this weekend. Tomorrow I will have to go back to work : (
It has been a great weekend. For the first time in ever Brandi and I had a girls night out Friday. We went to Maysville to Pasquales and to do a little shopping. With an hour there and and hour back it gave us lots of time to just talk and be us without our DH's. I think they were surprised when we didn't roll in until around 12 or so, and we paid for it the next day. I realize I am not as young as I use to be. When did that happen???

Saturday evening we went to the annual company outing at the Legends game.
Good times. Back to the grind stone tomorrow, yea!!
