Being able to write for a spa company i have been going to for such a long time is such an honour! I've mentioned before that i really like visiting g.spa because i personally think it's one of the more affordable spa places and also it is opened 24 hours!

A lot of my friends were like "how come you like it so much and why do you spend so many hours there all the time?". Well..

Here's what i do at g.spa...

Change into the robe which is in the locker and lock up my belongings

Don't worry, you need not bring your own bikini, g.spa provides you with disposable bra and panties in the locker (i only wore my own as this is an ad).

I'll go into the hot pool for 30 min.

After the hot pool i'll use the steam room for 30 min.

Then i'll sit around for about 5 min to cool down a bit before i take a shower.

After my shower, i will enjoy a 90 min Full Body Massage (my favourite is the Gateway to Vitality). So far the masseurs that massage me are all very experienced and good!

After my massage, i will have my lunch or dinner (meals are served till 10pm only but don't worry, after 10pm you can still order simple food like toast, instant noodles, porridge or eat bao).

The food won't disappoint! It's really yummy AND THE BEST PART IS...IT IS FREE! You can order as much as you want!

After a full meal, i will go to the entertainment area to watch a movie. There's a wide variety of Movies to choose from!

And that is how i spend 3-5 hours at g.spa everytime i visit. Hehe.

Just recommending an affordable spa in Singapore.:)

I was preggers and pregnant woman can't be in places with too high temperatures I haven't been to a spa for over a year. The joy i felt when I could enter the hot pool again omgggg!

Today I paid gspa a visit after so long. It's not my favourite spa place but it's the most worth it one for sure!

I'm one who looooves taking baths in super hot water. It's like everytime I finish showering/bathing, the toilet would be full of steam haha. So yeah, I love hot pools & steam baths soooo much. I always feel very "clean" when I sweat it out in the hot pool or steam bath. It is said it is the best way to detoxify. I have realized that whenever i have a hangover, all I have to do is go into the hot pool or steam bath to sweat it out! Works better than any hangover cure drinks/medicines I've tried. And I feel that my skin feels much softer too.

After enjoying the hot pool I did the Gateway To Vitality massage. Best massage I had in a long time man. Everytime she pressed and everywhere just kept "cracking", she would be like, "wah girl, so young only leh you work very very hard ah so tired?" Haha. Needed it so badly after the long and tiring weekend (Zoukout, Baby Shower, Wedding...).

I don't really blog about spa places because everytime I go to such places, I'd put my phone in the locker to be "away from work" and relax but today I was waiting for an urgent call so I held it and thought it'll be a good idea to share this place too!

There are tons of other great spa places in Sg but I think gspa is one of the cheapest. Not the best because there are many other spas which look much much nicer. G Spa got a bit of those

"atas china KTV place" vibes cus of the lights and all. Don't ask me how i know how those places look like and why i go there. Haha. I googled and found this video, watch it and you will sorta get what i mean la haha.

However when it comes to the price, gspa is the most affordable and worth it one. Plus it has all the facilities that makes a good spa and massage is very good too. Or maybe cus i'm very lucky that everytime i go i get all those ladies with very power hands.

What made it even cheaper is I signed up for a package so everytime I'm there they'd deduct from the package. When you do so they'd also give you extra credits. All the services are cheaper for members too so yeah, save more and sign up for their membership.

Oh and why it's so worth it too is because they have a dining area where there's a buffet so you can eat all you want after your massage. It's like local food like kuay teow all that. You can have your breakfast, lunch & dinner there, nobody would care also. Haha.

Also it opens till late. So you can go after work, unlike most spas I know of which closes pretty early.

Pink my Ride

It has always been my dream to own a pink beetle car! I once said my first car is gonna be a pink beetle and who would've thought it would REALLY BE A PINK BEETLE!!!!!

Even if i could afford a better, more expensive car, i always said it'll be a pink beetle FIRST no matter what. :)

I had a post years back about my dream car and when i posted the picture of it, some people still remember that post! I'm actually really happy people remember my dream car hahaha.

I remember back when i was in primary school, i was CRAZY over Barbie. My Barbie had a huge mansion and drove a pink beetle. The mansion was CRAYYYYY! My neighbor Sheryl & I were Barbie freaks and her collection was even more massive. The amount of money we'd spend on Barbie's clothes and shoes every week was mad. That was when i found my passion for fashion....and my love for the Volkswagon Beetle. 

I am so so so thankful for my bf for helping me make my dream come true! Today he even sent the car for more modification so it'll be even more chio....I really love how it is already but he's like no, i think you need to change to LED lights and this and that. Hmm...great to have a perfectionist bf i guess? Haha. 

The day i got the car in my hands and drove it felt like a dream. IT WAS SO HARD TO BELIEVE THIS CAR IS ACTUALLY MINE. The color is PERFECT. I can't seem to capture the actual color of it but i know i want to do a nice photoshoot with it! I MUST HAVE PICTURES TO REMEMBER HAVING THIS CAR FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

Now that this piece good news is out...

ONE MORE I'LL REVEAL IN 1-2 WEEKS TIME! Which is bigger, more exciting news. ;)

Q Spa

This is probably the only review on Q Spa you can find online because it is a super duper new company!

I visited Q Spa located at the basement of Queensway Shopping Centre to pamper myself. I don't know why but i haven't done much vigorous activity because i'm sick and always feeling too weak to move but still, my body is aching like i ran did some intensive cardio. Zzz. I was so glad to be offered a trial at Q Spa as my body was really in need of a good massage.

The lady who did my massage looked so skinny and small but when she laid her hands on my body, i was pretty impressed with the strength and technique used. She was a pretty serious masseuse...seems dedicated to her job. I don't know how to describe what "serious" actually means but yeah, not anyhow anyhow press press then finish. 

The place was clean, quiet and comfortable. The 3 most important factors to me when i visit places like that.

I like that the prices at Q Spa are kept low and reasonable. If you live nearby the area, lucky you!

$10 "Epicanthoplasty"

I have very round eyes and in a week's time, i will be undergoing Epicanthoplasty and Lateral Canthoplasty. It is cutting the inner and outer corner of eyes to widen and lengthen it so it doesn't look so round as i prefer longer, more almond shaped eyes.

My results should look like this because my eyes look very similar to the "before"!

Because i will have to try getting used to getting the "long" eyes i've always wanted, recently i've been drawing my eyeliner a certain way!

I thought it'll be helpful to share this secret i have been using to make my eyes look wider. :)

When i draw my eyes this way, i try not to take close up shots cus if i do, it'll look like this....

So the tip is to draw a small triangle at the inner corner and then at the outer corner i'll extend it! 

This is the cheapest and painless way to achieve the wide almond shaped eyes you can see in the following shots...

I call this the $10 Epicanthoplasty.....cus all you need is a good thin tip eyeliner which costs only $10! 

If you have round eyes like mine, try it!!! You'll look kinda weird up-close but when you take pictures from afar, your eyes will look a lot bigger and nicer. :) If you're afraid of going under the knife or cannot afford to, this will really be very helpful. 

I really am looking forward to my surgery already!!!!

As a Blogger, i've to always look for ways to grow! The more followers, the better for my blogging career! AND ONE THING I WILL NEVER DO IS...C H E A T. By cheating, i mean, buying followers.

I've seen SO MANY bloggers buying followers on Instagram and am so disappointed! It's unfair because clients choose bloggers based on the number of followers on their profile page. Clients wouldn't go investigate and find out if it's real or not.

In this post, i'm going to teach you how to gain more followers the "right way"!

1. USE POPULAR HASHTAGS

2. POST YOUR PICTURE AT THE RIGHT TIMING

This depends on which country you're in. In Singapore, from experience, the best timing to post pictures is between 5pm-9pm. I don't know if it applies to everyone or only me but i assume it is because it's the time people end school/work and are on the bus/train on their way home. If you post your pictures at 2-6am in the morning, don't expect to get that many likes/new followers cus most people in in Singapore are asleep!

3. BE SELECTIVE WITH THE PHOTOS YOU POST

Don't post just ANYTHING. Make sure it's a "beautiful" picture, what i would call, "Instagram Worthy".

"When I first started using Instagram I tried to use it as a sort of photo diary: updating pictures of drinks, my dog, or a fun evening out," "I soon realized that Instagram is better served as a place to surface artistic, beautiful photos. Maybe it's the filters, or the community, but people tend to really enjoy and respond to beauty on the service."

4. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU

Know what you are best at. Some people are good at posting food pictures, some of their faces, some of their OOTDs, some only post Black & White pictures....know what works for you best and stick to that if you can. Not EVERYONE can post nice food pictures, or nice OOTDs.

5. FOLLOW AND LIKE OTHER PEOPLE'S PICTURES

Be friendly, comment on people's pictures to get noticed! Of course, don't get all obsessed and comment on EVERYONE'S picture. You'll just look like you're "trying too hard" - which will turn people off.

6. GEOTAG YOUR IMAGES

If you're at Marina Bay Sands, GEOTAG IT! People who are in the area will see your picture if they tap the location's name and if they view your profile and like your pictures, you just gained a new follower!

I also recently tried something out to see if it'll work cus i saw a few people doing it. Especially bloggers but not sure if it's cus they want to make their name look more interesting or if they want to get "noticed". It is VERY popular among overseas Nail Art/Beauty/Food/Fashion Instagram accounts with over 100k followers.

Trick is to add a symbol in front of my name,

eg. * TAMMY TAY *

(This is an example of my friend's Following List, where i appear 1st due to the symbol in front)

You can try the following too if you don't like the * , !Tammy! or ~Tammy~ or (Tammy)

DO NOT put a Emoji, the emoji will only put you at the back of the list if sorted alphabetically. 

This will help you appear the First on your follower's Following List if the list is sorted alphabetically. I realized this pattern, it's only sorted out alphabetically if your follower follows less than 100 people. I'm not sure about you guys but i like to look at who people are following so i click on people's Following List pretty often! If there are many who are like me out there and your name appears first on the list, i'm sure it'll help in getting noticed! 

Still unsure about the results so i'm trying it out for a few days to see if my followers grow faster or not.
