NF Digital Art Meme, DAM 9

NF Digital Ar Meme, a meme for digital artwork. photo art and creative work.
The two memes, NF Abstract and NF Digital Art Meme, will take turns. The good thing is that you can post Abstract every week as that is also Digital.

The new meme will allow any kind of digital art. You can post anything from photo art, straight from the camera, to complicated texture work. You can take a shot of your pottery and make it digital. As long as you are the artist. I hope to see some of the black and white artists I often see on Weekend in Black and White. You create good arts in your camera.

It is not nessessary to give all details of your work. An artist must have some secrets and, well, how we did it is most of the time impossible to describe anyway.  And we work with different software.

Next week is NF Abstract week. Be sure to visit if you want The optional theme for next DAM.

I guess I can call this one "NatureFootstep". As the optional theme for DAM this week is "Letters" I was sitting playing around with my logo. I tried to draw F with one of the pencils and then tried out different ways in TEXT to bend and twist the name. One of them is a fish. Guess which one? Then I tried to form some shape with the standing logo. I also used the colored pencil filter on one. But as it did look rather boring I picked up a bokeh image of fall leafs and added a blending mode and, voila, there it was. :)

Next week is NF Abstract and it will also be some changes. Having two different art memes did not work as well as expected. And people seem confused. And the increase in no of people participating did not happen. Well, you have to come back next week to see what I´m up to.

NF Abstract, a meme for abstract photo art and creative work. Well, as a photographer of course I love to see photoabstract.  But any kind of abstracts are welcome. Like paint or whatever other things that can be seen as abstract.
Abstract art: "art that does not attempt to represent external, recognizable reality but seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors and textures".

The topic can, of course, be interpreted in many ways and you can use whatever means you want as long as the result is Abstract.

As I was preparing this meme I realised I did not give this one a name so it became Soft. I really did not do much about it. It is a failure that became an abstract. Loved the colors and appeared movement.

Linking up with Black and White Weekend

This weeks optional theme is black and white. This is a color photo converted to black and white. Then I used rather much sharpening for the first one. In order to enhance the forms of the deers. Then I used that one to create a Cut Out in PS CS5.

I am actually quite fond of the cut out. It reminds me of that kind of needlework they did some 100 years back and had as decoration on the walls. I can picture the dark, rich colors it should have after many years on the wall. :)

I´m looking forward to see if you dare take the challlenge. At least, have fun!

Zooming

For this image of autumn leavs I was experimenting with the zoom. I have a Tamron 70-300mm. The time was set for 1sec. And the AF value as high as I could get. Then tried to rotate the zoom during the shut. Needed a lot of shots to get the hang of it. Luckily it is free when you work with digitals.  :)

As you can see I have both artmeme logos up today.  It is because I´ll fly away for a few weeks. Optional theme for this DAM 6 is: Flight

As autumn begins up north I´ll do as the birds, I´ll migrate for a few weeks. I´ll go to meet the spring in Australia. Birding! Most of the time I will be in wild country with early mornings and late evenings in field. Long days means no time for blogging. I have a post in my Travel blog that shows where I´ll be. Australia

I leave todays linky open till I come back. That way you can post your art each week if you like. I was thinking of scedule the memes but it is too many to be sure they will all work. So. This is a piece I created a year and a half ago. Think it is worth sharing again. There is no way I can explain how I did it :)

The optional theme I gave for this week is "In your hand". Really, with this image in mind. :)

Next time when it should be DAM again I´ll be on the other side of the globe. I will leave a post open for both NF DAM and NF Abstract while I am away. So you can still post, but without any given theme. But next week there will be NF Abstract as usual.

Lilac - Syren

This weeks optional theme is Flowers. I choose this image as I like the look of the branch and made a simple Oil Painting of it in Arc Soft Photo Studio. I have been looking at this one for years but did not figure out what it was. This spring I suddenly saw Lilac flowers on it. Never seen a Lilac tree looking like that before. That aside. It was great to work with it for this topic.
