Dualing Arm Tattoos

Click image(s) to see the larger version(s).

This image comes from Rebecca and were inked at Phoenix Tattoo Company out of Tempe, Arizona. Here's what Rebecca had to say about her tattoos:
I put some thought into the symbolism of the tattoos when I got them done. I have a sun with the Libra sign and the horned god symbol on my right arm. They are on my right arm because in Wicca and Paganism the right hand side of your altar is for God and male spirituality. I have the Libra sign because my amazing husband is a Libra. I have the opposite on my left arm. I have a moon, Scorpio symbol, and the triple goddess symbol. For similar reasons-goddesses and female spirituality go on the left hand side and I am a Scorpio. I love the balance of my tattoos! I am representing myself, the goddess, my husband, and the god!
Thanks to Rebecca for sharing her tattoos!

Cancer Symbol

This simple but effective tattoo comes from the Flickrstream of Jessica N. Diamond and is licensed under Creative Commons.

Just a simple Cancer symbol to welcome us all into July. Those born under the sign of Cancer, a powerfully watery sign, tend to be emotional, sensitive, compassionate and extremely intuitive people, sometimes even harboring genuine psychic abilities. We are a wishy washy lot who sometimes suffer from indecision and an exaggerated tendency to daydream. Because we tend to feel more deeply than some forgiveness does not come easy for us. But because we are such caring people many of us have a strong desire and natural ability to nurture making us great doctors, nurses, healers, vets or other caregivers. Happy birthday to all of my fellow Cancers. I'm 5 today! (32=3+2=5)

Family Zodiac Ink

Click image(s) to see the larger version(s).

This pretty tattoo comes from Teresa who found NeoPagan Ink through Confessions of a Pagan Soccer Mom. Here's what Teresa has to say about it:
This Tattoo (my first of what I am sure will be many) was designed by my then 15 year old son, who plans to be a tattoo artist when he is older. (woohoo! only a couple years til I get free tats! lol)it was done by a shop in Spruce Grove, Alberta about and year and a half ago when my then 17 year old son got his first tattoo for his birthday. great bonding experience for us both:) I am a gemini as is my only brother and the one in the top, cancer, is for my husband. along the bottom, the signs are for my 4 children from oldest to youngest - sagittarius, aquarius, taurus, and gemini- then my mother and father, -virgo and leo- it is purple because that is my favorite color and now I am always wearing purple! it is designed to look like an old stone monument because my family is 'set in stone' and always a part of me!
Thanks to Teresa for sharing her tattoo!

Unique Astrology Back Tattoo

The owner of this tattoo calls it "Aquarius sun...Leo moon...Capricorn rising..." and it comes from Rate My Ink. Ain't it cool? I've never seen another tattoo like it. I know it's not the best photo but it's so unique I just had to post it.

A Moon on a Hip

This is another great tattoo from Kim and this is what she says about it:
The tattoo on my hip is a crescent moon with three raindrops falling from it. I first had this tattoo done ten years ago, but was never completely happy with it. My astrological symbol (Cancer) is nestled inside the crescent. I had it redone by KC at the same time he did my pentagram.

Greco-Roman Back Piece

This amazing back piece comes from Rank My Tattoos. It appears to be Zeus/Jupiter in the center with his lightning bolt, Aphrodite/Venus in lower left being born from the foam in the classic Botticelli pose, Hephaistos/Vulcan toiling away in the lower right, a scorpion in the upper left and another god, perhaps Apollo in the upper right. Very nice. I can't help but wonder what this would've looked like in color. Be sure to click the image to see the larger version.

My Crab and Shell

To get the ball rolling on my new NeoPagan Ink blog I thought I'd post my own latest ink. I've always been fascinated by spirals, they are dearer to me than the pentacle, and the crab is my zodiac sign. This tattoo was done by Ken at Sundown Tattoo and Body Piercing in Springfield, Missouri, USA. (I would include his last name but it's not on the card and I honestly don't remember.)

Edited in September to add: I never noticed it before but my crab is missing a leg. Shit, shit, shit, shit and fucking shit. How did I let this happen? And how did I not notice 'til now? HOW!? I wonder if I could get it fixed free of charge?

EDITED again to add: I've decided to leave this tattoo as it is. Why? Because it has 7 regular legs and two claws. And my birthday is 7/2. I could have planned it! I didn't and that's what pissed me off. But I like it now.
