I love rainbows, this picture makes me so happy!!
 I think this is gorgeous!
I just love that bow in her hair!!
 This is a sweet collection!!
Her hair is cool, her dress is super cute and the netting is just lovely!

I love making cards with butterflies arranged in this way!
So fun, this is a neat thing to do with curtains! I love the feet sticking up!!
This reminds me of a Color Me Katie pose!
Gotta have the cupcake in there! YUM!

Looks like butterflies from recycled papers--cool!
Cool shoes, these 'post cards' are just lovely!
 Aw, butterfly balloons!

A Handmade Christmas

I have adjusted the balance on these photos...but it is still a little yellow...sorry... Anyway, my mom asked for a special card box to hold all of the cards that I have given her over the years. I knew that a Close to My Heart Memory keeper box would be perfect because it is completely customizable.

She is always the easiest person on my list. I alsmo made her a snapfish photo album with pictures of the baby...she is going to love it!!

No time....

For a {real} post. So here is a quick shot of something cool.

This is a butterfly collage, card and necklace I made for a birthday gift this weekend. The collage will be framed. The chipboard butterflies are K&Co, mixed with a variety of Basic Grey stickers, CTMH paper and an Hero Arts woodgrain stamp. Enjoy!

A cutie-pie layout!

Whew! Only 4 more days of summer school!!! We went camping over the weekend and the first thing I did (after a nap!) on Sunday afternoon was make some cards for next month's card swap! They turned out wonderful, but I will be posting them once it gets a little closer to the swap night. Today was one of those days...all I could think about was how much I wanted to come home and make a card! I made a bunch tonight!!

For now, I would like to share with you a great little layout I created for a challenge over @ The Creative Type. This week's challenge is to use a t-shirt as inspiration. I found this super cute shirt and it was a perfect way to combine some of my favorite pictures of my niece Taryn and some fun new glittery stuff that I have been itching to use somewhere.

Here is the shirt...It doesn't have any text, but the colors and butterfly were perfect for my pictures.

Here is my layout. I was excited to finally used this fun glittery butterfly lace paper from K. I. Memories.

The chipboard letters seemed to perfectly complement the key lime cardstock from CTMH.

Products Used:
My Mind's Eye Party Streamers paper
K&Co. Glitter sticker strips and die cuts from Berry Sweet Line and Chipboard Alphabet
Paper Studio Doodle Flowers
CTMH Cardstock
C.S. K.I. Memories Glitter Lace

Finally, some play time!

Wow! My blog candy prize arrived on Friday and I am just now getting to play around with it. Lisa sent me the most wonderful package of ribbon and an awesome stamp set. I remember seeing a great tutorial using the stamp set featuring embossing and a brayer...I will have to look around for it...hopefully I can find it and make something equally as beautiful. My favorite part of the prize is the ribbon! A girl can never have enough. This wonderful stash found a home in this cute little jar!

Lisa also sent me this great card!! I love it, the layers are beautiful!!

Tonight was one of my first nights in my craft room in almost 2 weeks so I made a sweet little card using some of the ribbon. I also spent some time getting ready for my swap club on Thursday. I will be posting my cards and projects for that soon.

I decided to post a couple of fun little butterfly cards and make this one ginormous post with tons of goodies. These are great because I stamped on some watercolor paper.

HEADS UP ABOUT A PHOTO TUTORIAL

And by the way....seriously check out this tutorial on white balance. I figured out that I can do the same maneuvers in my iPhoto program....it is super easy and I don't even have to open Photoshop! It has made a huge difference in my photos already!!

I hope that you notice the difference and it will improve the quality of my blog overall. All of the photos in this post have been altered...because they were almost all taken tonight!

This is a pair of my favorite spring/summer shoes. I used it as a practice picture. The one on the bottom is the one that has the white balance adjusted...the one on the top is a normal photo that I probably would've used on my blog.

OOh!! And before I forget, I am a winner over at Simply Creating! Krista chose my card for the May challenge!! I just love the Treetops stamp set and I used it on this card for the challenge.

Okay, that is enough for tonight. I have been feeling pretty inspired lately. I think we are going camping this weekend so I will have to try to get some crafting in this week!

I may not have said this lately, but thank you for all the sweet comments on my blog. Every time I get a compliment it pushes me to work harder and do more. My 'one little word' for this year is INSPIRE. You inspire me with your comments, thank you...I hope that I can inspire you with my ideas and information. Also, I haven't forgotten about the blog awards....just been busy! Thanks for the sweet awards girls!!

Color Me Monday...the last one for May!!

This week's color combination is a tough one for me. I don't have all the ink colors or all the paper colors so I had to improvise!

I focused on clear embossing for the background and texture paper on petal card stock. Then I stamped the 'vine' on white daisy. I made the vine using a flourish and a leaf from 2 different stamp sets.

A simple card, thanks for reading!!

Just a fun card

Hambly overlay, circles, butterflies, journaling stamps....turquoise, magenta and lime green with black and white....

This card was going to serve 3 purposes....answer a design team call, use color inspiration challenge colors, and serve as a graduation card....It ended up landing in my 'card' box fulfilling none of these challenges or needs...but thats okay. I had fun making it, so I am sharing it with you.

Enjoy!!

Scrap space...some butterfly art...Happy Tuesday!

This is basically just a bedroom. Originally, my space was just a desk in the corner of a bedroom. In the last year, I have purchased several items to help organize my growing supplies, gotten rid of the bed and I have now taken over the entire room. It is all mine.

The new furniture is on the right. My desk is in front of the chair, it is on wheels, very nice for vacuuming thousands of tiny scraps! The wall art....well...those are
just some black and white photos from college...and the wicker shelf is for displaying cards at workshops and my open house. Those will be leaving that wall whenever I get some new shelving...eventually....

I got some new wooden blinds for the windows and it is very easy to let in the natural light. I have a list of things I still need to make it complete, but I think it will always be a work in progress. I would like to get some wall-mounted shelving and some track lighting eventually. I also need another 'cube' storage unit, as the top of one of the dressers now holds 3 cubes. I also need a place to put my paper cutter, right now it is on a wooden chair!

That marker holder is an old wine bottle rack. And I thought I would tell you that my new stamp pad tower is awesome. I organize my stamp pads as either HOT, COLD, or NEUTRAL. This is the same system I use for my cardstock.

The DH looks at this shelf and says, "What is all that?" Well, I could probably organize all the things on this shelf a little better, but that is a project for another day.

I spent most of Saturday morning cleaning, vacuuming and organizing this room. I haven't done much cleaning in a while so I went through scrap boxes. After working on my Twilight book all day, this is what the room looked like on Sunday!

Just after spring break, I decided to break out an old canvas and see what I could do with it. I painted over the started-but-forgotten butterfly painting with a thin coating of white paint. Then I started punching and cutting butterflies out of scraps of cardstock. I did buy a set of chipboard butterflies from K&Co. to use as tracers. I attached all the butterflies with either glue dots or modge podge. I inked the edges of the canvas with black ink as a finishing touch...This now hangs in my newly painted turquoise hallway. The hallway is a little dark, even with lights on, so this isn't the best photo, but I just thought I would share! It would be great to do this for a baby's room in pinks.
