Uniko August 2025 Release Day

Good morning!

It's Release Day over at Uniko and I'm here to reveal the whole release and share another card.

Here's the final card I made, using the new Ink & Flip Mid Century Leaves stencil...

The stencil is intended to be inked up and then flipped over sideways.  I changed things up and flipped it vertically to create a really interesting design.  So this was super simple and quick to make, I inked up the turquoise and blush shades first, then flipped and inked up the ochre and navy.  I then finished with a greeting from the Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments set on a die cut oval.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Ink & Flip Mid Century Leaves
  • Stencils: Uniko - Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments
  • Ink: Altenew - Aqualicious, Pink Pearl, Yellow Ochre, Dark Night; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Dies: Lil' Inker Designs - Stitched Ovals

So, now to reveal the new products in full.First up are the new stamps, starting with Background Builders Mid Century Modern...

Background Blocks Bauhaus...

Background Blocks MOD Circle Builder...

Background Blocks Swiss Dots...

and finally the new stencils, Layering Retro Stripes...

and Ink & Flip Mid Century Leaves...

I love this release, such great designs and many to create quick cards too.  The products are available from the Uniko store now, here

Uniko August 2025 Release - Introducing...Stencils Layering Retro Stripes and Ink & Flip Mid Century Leaves

Happy Saturday

It's the final day of the Uniko August Release introductions.  The entire release will be revealed tomorrow at 9am BST and will then be available to purchase via the Uniko online store.

We're showcasing stencils today...Layering Retro Stripes which is a five stencil set, and Ink & Flip Mid Century Leaves.  Both of these products have a retro vibe, like the rest of this release.  I think you'll agree that Bev's design skills have been amazing with these new products.

I'll start with the leaves...

Now, I didn't actually flip the stencil when making this card.  There are so many ways you can use it.  Firstly I inked up the beige and green leaves then, instead of flipping it, I cleaned the stencil and just moved it so that the leaves were below the ones I had just inked.  I then inked up the teal and orange leaves.  I then grabbed an image from the Mid Century Modern Florals set and stamped those in grey.  A greeting from the Bauhaus Blocks set, embossed in white on a black die cut strip finished the card.

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Ink & Flip Mid Century Leaves
  • Stamps: Uniko - Mid Century Modern Florals, Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Altenew - Sand Dunes, Teal Cave, Autumn Blaze, Forest Glades; Versafine Claire - Morning Mist; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Brutus Monroe - Alabaster
  • Die: MFT Die-namics - Stitched Sentiment Strips

Now for the fabulous retro stripes, and I paired these with a greeting from the Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments set...

I decided for this I wanted the sets of stripes in different coloured gradients.  These stencils are super easy to line up but I had to mask sections to do the different colours on each stencil.  My Altenew inks are in sets of four so I had to try to find a fifth colour that would work, I think I've done ok here.  The two lightest blues look the same here but the inner colour is a touch lighter so I think it works ok.  I trimmed the panel down slightly and mounted it onto a frame in creamy beige.

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Layering Retro Stripes
  • Stamp: Uniko - Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments
  • Ink: Altenew - Dark Night, Nimbus, Cloudy Sky, Misty Morning, Polar Bear, Marigold, Snapdragon, Chamomile, Sunray, Buttercream; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Cardstock from stash

Aren't these fab?!  You can see how the other Brand Ambassadors have used these stencils if you check out the Uniko blog, here.  I'll be back tomorrow with a reveal of the full release.

Thank for visiting, as always x

Uniko August 2025 Release - Introducing...Background Blocks Swiss Dots

Good morning

More from Uniko this morning and it's the introduction of a stamp which I think will be super useful in any crafter's stash - Background Blocks Swiss Dots.

I have two cards for you today, one using the stamp as a background and another using it as the main focal point.

Here's the first and I've used it with the floral image from Pure Florals Cosmos and a greeting from Organic Blooms...

I began by stamping the Cosmos on a white cardstock panel and colouring with Copics.  I then masked the image before stamping the background dots in a gradient of three shades of aqua/teal.  I then stamped the greeting in black ink before matting and layering onto some co-ordinating lilac cardstock, flat to the card base.

Materials used:

  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Swiss Dots, Pure Florals Cosmos, Organic Blooms
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Altenew - Dew Drops, Aqualicious, Teal Cave; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Cardstock from stash

For my second card I made the dots the focus and added a sentiment from the Simply Said Blocks II set...

On a die cut panel I started by stamping and heat embossing the dots in white.  I then masked around the rectangle and ink blended with three shades of Distress Oxides, the dots resisting the ink.  I then wiped over the design with a soft cloth to remove any excess ink on the dots.  The panel was adhered flat to the card base and I then stamped and cut out the sentiment and finished with some co-ordinating enamel dots.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Swiss Dots; Simply Said Blocks II
  • Ink: VersaMark; Distress Oxide - Kitsch Flamingo, Tumbled Glass, Cracked Pistachio; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Embossing Powder: Brutus Monroe - Alabaster
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles
  • Accents: Doodlebug Sprinkles - Limeade, Blue Jean and Bubblegum Assortments

To see more projects using this versatile stamp, pop on over to the Uniko blog, here.  I'll be back tomorrow to introduce the final two products included in this release.

All the new products will be available from this coming Sunday, 10 August 2025 at 9am BST.

I hope you're enjoying these showcases and would love you to pop back tomorrow.

Uniko August 2025 Release - Introducing...Background Blocks MOD Circle Builder

Hi there

What do you think of the introductions so far?  Personally, I'm loving all the retro makes!

So, onto day three of the Uniko August introductions and there's another addition to the Background Blocks series...Background Blocks MOD Circle Builder.

You might recognise this design as it already exists in stencil form.  It has a main design block as well as some additional elements.

For my first card I've built up my design using just two of the additional elements in the set...

I'm so pleased with this one as I didn't plan it out at all, I just picked out some colours and began stamping with one of the circle quarters and then a few accents with the striped image.  The sentiment is from the Bauhaus Blocks stamp set.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks MOD Circle Builder, Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Altenew - Marigold, Pumpkin Pie, Lagoon, Mountain Mist; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

And my second card, another one layer...

For this card I used the main block in the stamp set but masked off some parts just to leave these central blocks.  I simply stamped in black ink and coloured with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from the Mid Century Modern Frames set.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks MOD Circle Builder; Mid Century Modern Frames
  • Ink: Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics

For lots more inspiration from the rest of the team using this stamp set, take a look at the Uniko blog, here.  I'll be back tomorrow to introduce another of the new products.

All the new products will be available from Sunday 10 August 2025 at 9am BST.

Thank so much for visiting.

Uniko August 2025 Release - Introducing...Background Blocks Bauhaus

Hi there

It's day two of the Uniko August release introductions and today the team are showcasing a new stamp in the Background Blocks series... Background Blocks Bauhaus.

It's a great design for those quick makes.

Both of my cards today I've paired with greetings from the Bauhaus Blocks stamp set.  Here's the first...

I simply stamped the image in the top left corner in Copic friendly ink and then randomly coloured the shapes with four shades of Copic markers.  The sentiment was stamped below in black ink.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Bauhaus, Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics

My second card involved a little masking...

I stamped each separate column in a different shade of yellow/orange ink from dark to light, carefully masking off the other columns. I then coloured the shapes with co-ordinating shades.  I wanted to create a different look without the shapes having a darker outline.  I think it creates a really great, and different, look to the same image.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Bauhaus; Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Memento - Cantaloupe; Altenew - Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics

Don't forget to take a look at the Uniko blog, here to see how the Brand Ambassadors are using these new products.  You'll find lots of great inspiration.

All the new products will be available from next Sunday 10 August 2025 at 9am BST.

I'll be back to introduce another of the new products tomorrow.

This release is full of lots of fun retro designs and we're kicking off with the largest of the stamp sets in this mini release...Background Blocks Mid Century Modern.

Both of my sample cards today are super simple one layer stamped designs and I've paired the new set with sentiments from the Bauhaus Blocks stamp set...

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Builders Mid Century Modern, Bauhaus Blocks

Uniko Christmas in July 2025 - Introducing...Flower Power #12

Hi there

Back today with the final introduction for the Christmas in July release from Uniko.

And it's the final addition to complete the Flower Power series of stamp sets - Flower Power #12.  Bev has designed a lovely festive version to complete the set.

I have two cards for you, here's the first...

On a piece of white cardstock I stamped the linear images of the holly leaf and poinsettia flower randomly using a Copic friendly ink.  I then coloured these in with Copics.  I die cut a panel of white cardstock with a stitched rectangle die and a stitched aperture die before adhering the stamped piece behind the window.  I added a stamped greeting which is also from this new stamp set and adhered the panel flat to the card base

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Flower Power #12
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Dies: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles; MFT Die-namics - Rectangle Peek-a-boo Window

And my second card, a simple one layer...

I stamped the stem/leaves images first before building the rest of the design using the flower stamps.  I stamped the solid image inside the linear image for the central flower and then used the same solid image with offset stamping in two shades for the outer flowers.  Finished with a sentiment from the set and added three gold glitter enamel dots.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Flower Power #12
  • Ink: Altenew - Forest Glades, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Accents: Enamel dots from stash

As always, you can see more cards showcasing this new set over at the Uniko blog, here.  I'll be back tomorrow with the full release reveal which will be available to purchase from the Uniko online shop from 9am BST.

Thank you for visiting.

Uniko Flippin' Fabulous Ink & Flip Masculine Inspiration Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hi there

Yes, I'm still here!  So sorry for the silence, it's been a busy couple of months so I've not managed to find time for any crafting but I'm back today to join in the finale of the masculine themed month with Uniko.

Today the team are showcasing the Ink & Flip stencils and giving them a masculine touch.

And, by visiting each of the Brand Ambassadors along the hop, starting at the Uniko blog, here, as well as commenting on our socials, you're in with a chance of winning an Ink & Flip stencil of your choice.

I have two stencilled cards to share today, one using an Ink & Flip stencil and another using another stencil from Uniko.

Ok, here's my first where I've chosen the Ink & Flip Christmas Star as it offers a fantastic central focal point for any card...

I inked up both sides of the stencil, first in Pumpkin Pie ink and then with Dusk ink, which created the star and a darker green shade where the the colours overlap.  Next I stamped the sentiment from the Mid Century Modern Birthday stamp set in a darker blue, and then finished with the Background Blocks Linear image stamped in each corner in black.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Ink & Flip Christmas Star
  • Stamps: Uniko - Mid Century Modern Birthday; Background Blocks Linear
  • Ink: Altenew - Pumpkin Pie, Dusk, Desert Night; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

And for my second masculine make I've used the Mid Century Modern Circles & Stars stencil...

This love using the shifted stencil technique with this stencil, it creates the illusion of so much dimension on a flat panel.  So I began with a dark orange panel of cardstock and inked through the stencil in a dark blue ink.  I then shifted the stencil slightly downwards and to the right and then inked through again with a white pigment ink.  This created the lighter blue and makes the original inking look like shadows.  I die cut the panel and adhered it flat to my card base then found an unused die cut circle in my stash so stamped the sentiment from the Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments set in black. The card was finished with some co-ordinating enamel dots.

Materials used:
  • Stencil - Uniko - Mid Century Modern Circles & Stars
  • Stamps: Uniko - Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments
  • Ink: Altenew - Dusk; Hero Arts - Unicorn; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles; circle from stash
  • Accents: Doodlebug Sprinkles - Tangerine and Blue Jeans Assortments

Thanks for visiting today and good luck if you comment along the hop.

I appreciate you looking and plan to be back again very soon :)

Uniko April 2025 Release - Introducing...Stencil Layering Spring Blossom

Happy Friday!

It's the last of the introductions for the Uniko April 2025 release today and it's all about a new layering stencil set...Layering Spring Blossom.  This set has three stencils.

There are so many possibilities with this versatile stencil set...use the images individually or all together to create some really pretty backgrounds.

I got my Color Cubes out again for these and I love both these colour palettes.  I'll certainly be using these inspiration cards a lot more going forward, they really encourage you to combine colours you would never think to put together.  I've chosen colours as close to the suggestions as I can from what I have in my stash, I'd love to know what you think.

Here's my first card using the stencils and I've combined with a greeting from the Bauhaus Blocks stamp set...

I used all the stencils to build the background pattern and then cut down the panel with a stitched curved border die and trimmed it to fit my card base before adhering flat.  I then simply stamped the greeting in black along the curved edge and called it finished.  Lovely and clean and simple.

And this was the Color Cube inspiration card I used...

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Layering Spring Blossom
  • Stamp: Uniko - Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Memento - Cottage Ivy, Tuxedo Black; Altenew - Ultraviolet, Rubellite, Burnt Red; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: MFT Die-namics - Stitched Basic Edges

And a one layer, clean and simple card...

I began by masking off the edges of my card base.  I very lightly inked up my background, fading it out as I moved down to the base.  I then did the same with each element of the stencils, inking stronger at the top and fading the colours out at the centre.  I then finished with a greeting from the new Originally Organic Flower Garden stamp set, also new with this release.

And here is the colour palette I chose from my Color Cubes...

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Layering Spring Blossom
  • Stamp: Uniko - Originally Organic Flower Garden
  • Ink: Altenew - Emerald, Volcano Lake, Deep Iris, Pumpkin Pie, Memento - Desert Sand

Ok, that's all the introductions done.  I hope you love all these new products that Bev has designed.  Lots more creative inspiration is waiting for you over at the Uniko blog, here.  My fellow Brand Ambassadors are sharing some beautiful projects.

Please do pop back tomorrow to see the full release reveal and to find out about the Uniko Giveaway.  All the new products will be available tomorrow, Sunday 27 April 2025 at 9am BST.

Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Uniko April 2025 Release - Introducing...Ink & Flip Delightful Diamonds

Hi guys

I'm back to share more newness from Uniko and today the team are introducing another, yes Bev has designed another, Ink & Flip stencil...this time Delightful Diamonds.

This is just one stencil, so it has no central focal design but it creates really striking backgrounds, or can be masked to just use part of it.

Here's my first card and I paired it with a sentiment from the Simply Said Blocks set...

For this one I began with a piece of white cardstock and I inked through one side of the stencil using Distress Oxide in Villainous Potion.  I then cleaned off the stencil and flipped it.  I then squished some of the same ink onto a mat and mixed it with some pearlescent stencil paste and spread it over the stencil to create the second part of the pattern.  It's hard to believe this paste is mixed with the same colour of ink!  I cut along the edge of the panel following the pattern and then adhered the cut piece to my card base.  It was then simply finished with a stamped sentiment.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Ink & Flip Delightful Diamonds
  • Stamp: Uniko - Simply Said Blocks
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Villianous Potion; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Paste: Sweet Poppy - Stencil Dimensions Pearlescent White

And now for my second card, also using a sentiment from the Mid Century Modern Birthday stamp set...

Now, I'm not going to lie...the inking of this one took me ages and I went through many post-it notes making off the different sections to ink blend each colour.  And I used a card from my Color Cubes as inspiration for this colour palette.  You can see this in the photo below.  I didn't have the exact shades to match but close enough.  I wasn't sure if this worked but liked it a lot more once I'd stamped the bold sentiment.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Ink & Flip Delightful Diamonds
  • Stamps: Uniko - Mid Century Modern Birthday
  • Ink: Memento - Paris Dusk, Cantaloupe, Lilac Posies; Altenew - Polar Bear, Aqualicious; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

If you'd like to see more examples of projects using this new stencil, take a look at the Uniko blog, here.  My teammates are sharing some great makes.

I'll be back tomorrow to introduce another great new stamp set.

And don't forget, all the new products will be available from next Sunday 27 April 2025.

Uniko April 2025 Release - Introducing...Stencil Layering Flower Fusion

Hi there

It's the second day of the new product introductions from Uniko.

Today, the team are showcasing a new set of layering stencils...Layering Flower Fusion.

I love this set.  You can use all the separate stencils to build a background pattern or just select parts of it to create unique designs.

Here's my first card using the set and for this one I used all four stencils, and a sentiment from the new Butterfly Serenade set that was introduced yesterday...

This was super simple to create, I just used each of the stencils in turn to create the background design.  And I kept it a one layer card by stamping the sentiment in black over the background at the end.

Last year I treated myself to the Color Cubes by Sarah Renae Clark and this was the first time I put them to use to determine my colour palette.  I've have used them a few more times for cards I made for this release and will be sharing them in my upcoming posts.

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Layering Flower Fusion
  • Stamp: Uniko - Butterfly Serenade
  • Ink: Altenew - Evergreen, Warm Sunshine, Polar Bear, Misty Morning; Memento - Cottage Ivy; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Accents: Doodlebug Sprinkles - Bumble Bee Assortment

And for my second card I selected various images from the stencils to create a CAS design, using a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks...

I inked three of the flowers in two shades of Distress Oxide and then just one of the leaf sprigs, also with two shades of ink.  I also added the flower centres using the tiny dots in the stencil.  I die cut a stitched panel and stamped a sentiment against the edge, before adhering the panel flat to my card base.

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Layering Flower Fusion
  • Stamp: Uniko - Simply Said Blocks
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Festive Berries, Saltwater Taffy, Dried Marigold, Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

My fellow Brand Ambassadors have made some beautiful cards using this set, you can see more at the Uniko blog, here.  I'll have more to share tomorrow so please do pop back if you are able.

All the new products will be available from next Sunday 27 April 2025.

Uniko - April 2025 Release - Introducing...Butterfly Serenade

Hi there

It's back to work for me today after a relaxing few days at home for Easter.  I hope you've had a lovely break and you may be one of the lucky ones who also have the rest of the week off.

It's day one of the new Uniko introductions and first up is Butterfly Serenade...another lovely set to join the existing Serenade series.  The set includes the main cascading image, a couple of sentiments, as well as more individual butterflies and flowers.

Here's my first card using the set...

I used the main image on this card, stamped onto some blue cardstock with a pale ink.  I then coloured the butterflies with Copics and then restamped (left the stamp in my MISTI for placement accuracy) and heat embossed in white.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in white, adhered the panel to my card base and finished by adding some small silver gems.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Butterfly Serenade
  • Ink: VersaMark
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Embossing Powder: Brutus Monroe - Alabaster White
  • Cardstock and gems from my stash

And now my second card, where I combined this stamp set with another, Just Because...

On a die cut panel I stamped the foliage from the Just Because set in the lower left corner.  I then stamped the large butterfly in black and coloured with Copics, and then stamped the solid butterfly images in co-ordinating shades.  I stamped the sentiment and the flowers, both from the new set, before adhering the panel to the card base using 3D foam.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Butterfly Serenade, Just Because
  • Ink: Altenew - Frayed Leaf, Aquaicious, Teal Lake, Deep Iris; Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Copics
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

For lots more inspiration from the rest of the team using this stamp set, take a look at the Uniko blog, here.  I'll be back tomorrow to introduce another of the new products.

All the new products will be available from next Sunday 27 April 2025.

I hope you'll pop back throughout the coming week.
