OPI Peru Fall/Winter 2018 Collection

*purchased by me

Hello lovelies! I love sharing OPI collections, though I don't always get the chance to. When I first spied the Peru collection I though I knew I wanted to purchase it right away. Although the individual shades aren't all that original, I'm a sucker for a pretty palette! The formulas were all on the thinner side but still built up nicely. So on the whole I'm still happy I snatched these up. Let's take a look..

UberChic Beauty Collection 26 and Bottoms Up Stamping Plates Review

Hello lovelies! UberChic Beauty just launched their new website as well as a new Collection 26 and Bottoms Up single stamping plate. I found lots of images that I wanted to use as usual from the three plate collection. I kept it down to just four manis so that I could get them done in time for the launch. The Bottoms Up plate posed a little more of a challenge for me to figure out what images to use. The majority of them are alcohol and coffee themed, none of which I consume, so I had to get a little more creative. I'm pretty happy with the nail art I've created from these plates! Let's take a closer look..

OPI Iceland Fall/Winter 2017 Collection

*press sample

Hey friends! If you follow me on Instagram these swatches will look familiar to you. I hope you were looking forward to the OPI Iceland Fall/Winter 2017 Collection as much as I was because my review is almost all positive! I didn't have a single application issue, and there was only one finish that I didn't like. This was my first time trying the OPI Infinite Shine formula. Since I don't keep polish on my fingers for long I can't say I've noticed a difference personally, but I certainly don't have any complaints. Let's take a look...

OPI Summer 2017 California Dreaming Collection

When I first saw the California Dreaming Collection I went a little gaga over it. I love the theme (California native), the names (of course), and so many of the shades. I received the collection courtesy of Octoly and fell deeper in love once I was able to try them all on. Read on to find out my favorites..

OPI Spring/Summer 2017 Fiji Collection

*purchased by me (except for one)

Hello friends! Today I have swatches for the OPI Fiji Collection for Spring/Summer 2017. I bought the twelve piece collection plus two of the three Ulta exclusives. While I like the majority of the shades, they aren't
the most original of colors. I found the quality of formulas all over the place so I'll be writing more about that in each description. Let's take a look..

UberChic Beauty Collection 18 + Uber Mini Farm Fresh Stamping Plates Review

Hello lovelies! I have new UberChic Beauty stamping plates to share today! I love the images I used for these manis, but I'll admit that collection 18 didn't have as many images that I like as usual. I did however love the idea behind the Fresh Farm plate and thought it was pretty original. Gotta love the farm life! Let's take a look..

15 Gorgeous Green Nail Polishes for St. Patrick's Day

Green-tings lads and lasses! If you've been following my blog, you'll know that in the past I haven't been that big on green. But I think it's time to admit that I have been converted! I have so many STUNNING greens that haven't seen enough love, and what better time to share them, than this month for St. Patrick's Day? I have compiled a list of 15 fabulous shades which are a mixture of mainstream and indie polishes. Some of these are just what you'd expect for the holiday, but I've included a few unexpected shades as well. Enjoy!

31DC2016 Day 27: Number 15: Gray

Where do I begin with this look? Well I guess I can begin with the fact that I love it! It is so cool and unique, I wish I had longer to wear it. Now I'll follow that up by saying it is completely different from what I had in mind. What I intended to style my nails after was Jackson Pollock's art piece Number 14:Gray. My other two years of  the 31 Day Challenge "inspired by art" day has been one of my favorites. Both times were extremely labor intensive, but I loved the results. I tried to go the easy route this year thinking that I could get thin lines of polish by pouring it from high above my hand. As you can see, it did not produce thin lines at all. Instead I got a cross between a Rorschach test and a cow hide. So I am pretending that there was a follow up version called Number 15, and this is what it looked like!

31DC2016 Day 23: Dances With Wolves

Hello ladies! I am behind once again on the 31 Day Challenge, though for a very good reason! Yesterday I had the pleasure of announcing the launch of my very own collaboration shade 'Sisters' with piCture pOlish! Check out my post for photos and to read my story behind the shade. Now it's time for catching up on the Challenge.

31DC2016 Day 3: Honey Bee Nails

Hey ladies! Day three of the 31 Day Challenge and I'm so excited about this mani! This is one of the only designs I've had planned out for the month. It may look familiar because I was inspired by this bee mani from Chalkboard Nails, one of my all time favorites of hers. I've been wanting to recreate it ever since and now seemed like the perfect time. It may have something to do with these beautiful black eyed susans (?) in my yard that match so well!

31DC2016 Day 2: Autumnal Orange

Hey hey! Day 2 of the 31 Day Challenge and I'm still on track. So good so far! I love that this challenge has me using colors I don't usually reach for. Since I don't own very many orange polishes (relative to the rest of my stash) I saw this as a good excuse to buy a few new OPIs from the Washington DC Collection that were on my wishlist. I am really digging these shades together and I am already looking forward to using them again.

ABC Challenge: E is for Easy

Hello ladies! It's Friday and you know what that means over hear at Nail Polish Society, ABC Challenge day! I have been pretty busy lately and have had no chance to get ahead of things. It's been a little stressful to be honest. I didn't have a ton of ideas for today's "E" prompt. So when my sister suggested doing something "Easy", I jumped at the chance.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Films and Hehe Stamping Plate Review

Hi there! Today I am combining two posts because they go so well together. This is my second week participating in the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge. I was looking forward to this week's prompt- "film"- because I love movies and the possibilities are endless. I was also looking forward to sharing with you this awesome Hehe stamping plate that I was sent for review. If it's not obvious to you already, the film(s) I chose was the Harry Potter series. Can you see how the theme and this plate were made for each other? Accio awesome nail art!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge: 3 Shades Of Purple + Geometric

Hello everyone! I am excited about today's nail art because it is part of a challenge that I have just joined in on. This is my inaugural post for the Crumpet's Nail Tarts 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge. The idea behind the challenge is that everyone gets the same prompt (today's is "3 shades of purple") and then your assigned a more specific prompt out of the list of 40+ ideas (I was assigned "geometric". I like how structured it is, and yet there's still plenty of room for interpretation.

So I would like to tell you more about my mani and so on but this is proving to be a bit difficult at the moment. I woke up this morning and found my computer won't turn on! I made the unfortunate choice of leaving the writing until the morning. I'm just glad I was able to edit and include the photos last night! Anyway writing this on my phone is proving to be a challenge as I don't really use it much in the first place. So enjoy the pictures!
