Welcome...

So glad you chose to stop by!

I hope to use this blog to share some of my handmade cards as well as some of my scrapbook pages and maybe a few pics here and there that may or may not make it to a scrapbook page.

Scrapping for me is simply a fun hobby that I don't do often enough. More often than not, I'm a collector of all things scrap... i.e. tools, paper, embellishments...

Now to become motivated... Maybe this blog is just the way to do it...

Enjoy and come back SOON!

Think Pink...CCC #93

Wow, talk about blog neglect. It's been quite a while since I posted. Sometimes life happens and either you become a master juggler or some things have to take a lesser priority... For me, the blog and crafting took a temporary backseat to higher priorities...

I'm so glad to be able to participate again with the Cricut Cardz Design team. What a wonderful challenge they are having right now. The challenge is to make a Breast Cancer Awareness themed card. You can use any cartridge. The only stipulation is to make sure pink is the primary color.

Come on and join us in this challenge. And once you're done, give your card to someone who has in some way had to deal with breast cancer.

Here's my card. I used Elegant Edges (card base), Stand and Salute (paper ribbon), and Better Together (patterned paper for ribbon).

Holiday (Anything Goes)... CCC #85

For this week's Cricut Cardz Challenge, the design team was asked to make a holiday card (for any holiday) using any cartridge and any colors. Don't you just love this Anything Goes theme?

My card was made using Elegant Edges (card base)and Winter Frolic (Christmas tree and sentiment)cartridges. All patterned papers as well as the "Oh Christmas Tree" sentiment were printed with the Cricut Imagine (Yummy Cartridge). I added a few stickles to the tree to jazz it up a bit.

Now it's your turn. Remember... anything goes!

Grandparent Bday...CCC #83

This birthday challenge @ CCC has put me ahead of schedule on birthday cards!! It's a good feeling to already have my grandmother's card done. No last minute on this one. I went ahead and made two. Both grandmother's are done!!!

Now it's your turn. The challenge this week is to make a birthday card for a grandparent. You can use any cartridge and any colors. Simple enough, right?

I used Elegant Edges for the circles layer as well as the tag for the sentiment. The flowers were cut from Accent Essentials and distressed with Glimmer Mist. All pattern papers were printed with the Cricut Imagine Vintage Papers and Black and White Cartridges.

Enjoy...

Hospitali-"tea"... The Cutting Cafe

I thought I'd make a thank you card with a play on words. I love this teapot from The Cutting Cafe and have wanted to use it for a while so I thought it would be perfect. The circle sentiment reads "Thank You" and the sentiment on the teapot reads "for the Hospitali-TEA."

This card actually has a destination... I made a pocket on the inside of the card for tea bags (that I'm out of) then it's to the post office with this one.

The Cutting Cafe set that I used is called Teapot Shaped Card. You can check it out HERE...

Elisha Jean... The Cutting Cafe

Meet Elisha Jean, one of the latest images from The Cutting Cafe. I am by no means a colored pencil / Copic user, but little Elisha made me want to explore a bit. Yep, shading, coloring, or even tinting without the aid of some software is untried territory for me. So please be patient..., I'm trying something new here (talking more to myself than to you...lol).

The Elisha set comes with a couple of friends, Ruby J and Mikala Ann. You can check 'em out HERE.
