Throwback Thursday: A Shaker Card and UNITY!

Hey everyone!

Happy Thursday! Today is Throwback Thursday, and it is also RELEASE DAY at UNITY!! While my Guest Designer position hasn't quite officially started, I was lucky enough to get to play with some of the BRAND NEW goodies being released at Unity!! How cool is that?!

So first of all, check out today's throwback card from August 2012:

And, here is my new card, featuring the NEW RELEASES from Unity!

I am in LOVE with this apple!! The apple is from the new Apple Stamping kit, the set actually has TWO apples, so you can layer them for more depth. I opted to stamp just one of the apples and color with my copics :) And the sweet sentiment is A+ Teacher (it's only .89 cents this weekend!).

Just like my throwback card, this is a shaker card, so when you shake it there is glitter and sequins that jump around the apple. Isn't it cute?

Now I can't let you go without telling you about all of the AWESOME things going on at Unity this weekend!!

Throwback Thursday: Unity Creative Contest Take Two

Hey everyone!

Happy Thursday!! Today I couldn't resist giving the Unity Creative/Color Contest another shot! The idea of winning a guest design spot at Unity is HUGE, so you know I'm gunna keep on trying ;) 

So first up, here's my Throwback card from March 2012:

And here is what I came up with:

For the background of this card I used my Any Color Glimmer Mist technique. I added a little bit of Stickles to the flowers and leaves to tie them in to the glittery background. I added a tiny touch of Totally White Trendy Twine as well.

Throwback Thursday: Perfect Pair

Hey everyone!

Happy Thursday (aka the day before FRIDAY!!) :D For today's Throwback Thursday I am bringing back a card from October 2012. Yep, a Halloween card! Check it out:

For this card I finally pulled out my Sweet Stamp Shop View Finder stamp set. I LOVE this set, the few finder is TOO cute, I was so excited to finally use it! The sentiment says "From my point of view... you are a perfect pair!" How cute is that? And of course I rocked some Orangesicle Trendy Twine!

Throwback Thursday: Here for You

Hey everyone!

Happy Thursday!! And welcome to the FIRST Throwback Thursday here at MTE!! Every Thursday I will be choosing one of my OLD projects and using it to inspire a NEW project :) Isn't it fun to see how far we've come and how our styles have changed? 

Here's this week's Throwback:

This is a card I shared back in March 2012.

Annnnnd, here's what I came up with:

I stamped the chevron on the left in place of the cupcake paper and colored it with my copics. The adorable map and sentiment are from the Unity Stamp Company Itty Bitty Here For You Map. All colored with my copics of course :) I even outlined the sentiment to mimic the border on the sentiment in the throwback photo.

And here's a close up for you:

Pretty different eh? I love to see how my style has evolved. I think I have a much more graphic and CAS style now than I did a year ago, and I've moved from using pre-made embellishments to making my own by stamping and coloring :)

By the way, if you notice a similar color scheme and overall feel to yesterday's card, it's because I still have Runway Inspired Challenge #39 on my mind! That's right, I actually managed to whip up TWO cards for this challenge!!
