Unity Guest: Most Wonderful Time

Hey everyone!

Happy Monday!! I am on the Unity Blog again today with my very LAST Guest Design post! WOW, it feels crazy saying that. These past two months have just FLOWN by because I've been having such a fantastic time, but at the same time the wonderful ladies at Unity made me feel like a part of the Unity family SO quickly, it also feels like I've been with them forever! I can't tell you guys how totally BLESSED I have been to have this opportunity and truly how much FUN it has been to be behind the scenes at Unity just hanging out and chatting with the girls. You couldn't find a sweeter group of ladies. Seriously.

I could go on forever, BUT for your sake I won't ;)

For today's card I am getting into the holiday spirit with Unity!! Today is the LAST day of the current SALE at Unity and I wanted to feature just TWO of the awesome holiday stamps included in the sale, Merry & Bright and Most Wonderful Time. Unity Guest: Taking the Plunge

Hey everyone!

It's MONDAY again so I'm on the Unity Blog today with another Guest Designer post :D Can you BELIEVE I only have ONE Monday left as a guest designer after this?? These past two months have FLOWN by because I have been having so so SO much fun!! Have you gotten sick of me yet? I sure hope not ;)

Make-It Monday: Unity Guest - Keep Calm

Hey everyone!

I'm on the Unity Blog again today with another guest designer post!! Today is MONDAY, which means BACK to work or school for many of us so I wanted to share a FUN card that I think all of us could use on a Monday ;)

After work happy hour anyone? Lol!

I stamped and heat embossed the beer glass and then I water colored it. The foam is also heat embossed with white powder. I colored the sentiment to match with my copics.  I splattered the background with water color, added some sequins and a few dots of glossy accents and ta-da!

Unity Guest Designer: Water Color Card Set

Hey everyone!

Happy Monday!! I'm on the Unity Blog today with another guest design post :D Are you sick of me yet? I sure hope not because I am LOVING being here!! Today is a GREAT Monday because I am starting a NEW job! It is at the same school I was already working (I'm a teacher for those of you who don't know me :)), and will be in addition to my current position. So now I have the awesome opportunity to work with Kindergarteners, First grader, AND Middle schoolers! How awesome is that? I just LOVE teaching, and the more kids I can work with the BETTER. So today, as well as my usual guest designer project, I will also be sharing some STUDENT projects with you! That's right, my awesome middle schoolers have been rocking UNITY!

So first up, I will share my guest design projects for this week!

This week I am showing off the Here's My Thought sentiment kit. I LOVE this kit, it is SO versatile!

I don't know about you but I am CRAZY for water color right now, so I made this sweet little set of cards using white embossing powder and water colors. Check it out:

Aren't they fun? And SO simple. That's what I love about this sentiment kit, it have EVERYTHING, and the sentiments are BOLD, so they can hold their own on a card!

Now, I just wanted to share some of my students' work with you!

On Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays after school I work with the Middle Schoolers teaching arts and crafts classes. On Thursdays I teach Card Making! And of course, I bring UNITY for them to play with! Last week was only the second week, so the girls learned to STAMP for the VERY FIRST time!

For the background I whipped out my water colors (again, I know!) and I colored Tabitha with my Copics. To finish it off I added a little bit of Stickles :)

BIG News and Some Changes Around Here!

Hey everyone!

Happy Tuesday!! So first of all I am so SORRY that this is the second week in a row that I haven't had a Tip-It Tuesday for you! Between the start of the school year last week and my BIG announcement today, things have been a little crazy behind the scenes of MTE. But, I promise I have a GOOD reason! Things will be changing a little for MTE, for the BETTER! And I am SO excited to share my news with you!!

FIRST Announcement

(I have mentioned this already but it is DEFINITELY worth mentioning again):

The SUPER SWEET ladies at Unity have asked me to continue Guest Designing through September!!

I am SO excited about this because I am having SO SO much fun hanging out with this awesome group of women! There is just so much talent flying around that place, I am feeling so BLESSED to be a part of it!!

So be on the lookout for my Unity Guest Designer posts EVERY Monday through September!

AND I will continue to HOP with Unity every other week in September starting this week!! So keep your eyes peeled for Unity Thursdays as well!!

SECOND Announcement

(My BIG news and the changes coming to MTE!!):

I am SO.SUPER.STOKED to be announcing that I will be joining the Sweet Stamp Shop Design Team for the Fall term!!! I have mentioned before how much I LOVE this company, and I've had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Nicole, through her amazing classes and she really is SWEET! I just can NOT say how excited I am to be a part of this team and to be sharing my LOVE of SSS with you!

The bad news: We're saying bye-bye to Throwback Thursday :( :( (which we've kinda already been doing with Unity Thursdays happening over the past month)

The GOOD news: I will now be introducing Triple Sweet Thursdays - 3 Cards, 3 Ways, 1 Challenge!!!

Triple Sweet Thursdays is where I will show you THREE cards done THREE different ways for ONE challenge! How cool is that?? 

Now, I haven't decided just YET if this will affect Work-It Wednesdays. I don't want to OVERLOAD you guys with challenge entries.

Make-It Monday: So Very Thankful

Hey everyone!

Happy Monday!! First of all, I know I was MIA last weeek, I'm sorry!! But I have good reasons I promise ;) but I'll tell you about that tomorrow. Make-It Monday: Happy Are Those

Hey everyone!

Happy Monday! I am on the Unity blog again today with another guest design post! I am SO stoked that the lovely ladies at Unity asked me to continue guesting through September, so I will be sharing with you EVERY Monday for the next 5 weeks!! I can't tell you how much FUN it has been hanging out with this amazing group of ladies, I want to stay forever and ever and EVER!

So today I have a card to share with you that is showing off a technique that is completely NEW to me. I took a super fun class this past Saturday with the SWEET Nicole Rixon of Sweet Stamp Shop on creating backgrounds with Copics and this was my very first try all on my own, so I hope you like it! I thought this cloudy background paired perfectly with this ADORABLE itty bitty which you can grab HERE.

I think I made the clouds look a little stormier than I intended, but overall I'm proud of myself :)
