Bourjois Paris Ultra Shine So Laque! in Rose Lounge 28

I have been on the lookout for a nice pink shade and happen to chance upon this particular nail polish. I did a small research and found out that Princess Kate Middleton was having this nail polish on her nails over Essie’s 423 Allure on her wedding day. So I was all ecstatic and ran out immediately to my nearby Watsons and I found it in the Bourjois Paris section! Jackpot!

3 coats of Rose Lounge + top coat

(*Sorry for the really horrible curtain backdrop! Was in a huge hurry that day*)

Pros:

It is very sheer therefore very suitable for French manicure. Bourjois Paris also has a 3 piece French manicure kit that includes Rose Lounge but is only available in the UK. The nail polish has a very watery texture which I love and is very easy to apply on the nails. I didn’t have a problem with the brush nor find it exceptionally good.

Cons:

As I’ve said above the polish is very sheer therefore to get an opaque colour I have to layer 3 coats to achieve only a semi-opaque result. It does get streaky more noticeably on the thumb therefore it is a must to layer at least 3 coats. For other fingers, the streakiness is less noticeable. For people like me who does not have to most beautiful natural nails (nail biter since birth), I prefer a more opaque polish. They also make the whites of the nails look yellow. But nonetheless, it is still very beautiful by itself.

It does take some time to dry, not excessively longer than normal polishes but definitely not as fast as Sally Hansen nail polishes. I do notice that the colour gets dull after 4 or 5 days but after another layer of top coat it looks as good as new. It lasts a good 6 to 7 days without chipping which is also what it promises on the bottle.

Yadda Yadda:

I paid SGD$9.70 for a glass bottle containing 10ml, 0.3 FL OZ of product. Will I repurchase? Probably yes, just because it looks so beautiful when achieving French manicure.

Packaging: 5/5
Texture: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Lasting power: 4/5 (1 week without chipping)
Overall rating: 4/5

Mini Haul: MAC, Milani, Ecotools, Nyx

Read Article →
Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts these few days, I’ve been working on some projects and its driving me crazy and I’ll maybe add some pictures below showing you guys the data that I have been facing all day. I thought I’ll post up a quick mini haul for you guys and chit chat a little.

I’ve been really interested in the Milani Liquif’eye metallic eyeliner pencil that has been highly raved among bloggers and youtubers. It is not available in Asia, sadly, but I have finally gotten my hands on it and I can’t wait to try it out.

Also sorry for the really dark pictures, I just took them and it is evening here so I do apologize.

I was really interested in purchasing Ecotools products and yes, they are available in Asia Watsons but at a really ridiculous price. I couldn’t bear to spend SGD$30 on a retractable kabuki brush nor SGD$28 on the 6 brush kit. It was way too much to spend on just 1 brush. I bought my ecotools retractable kabuki brush from drugstore.com, if I’m not wrong the brush costs around SGD$15 in total inclusive of shipping which is WAY more affordable than in stores.

Since its October now, autumn is arriving and what’s better than strutting around town with an awesome nail colour? I find OPI Tickle My France-y to be a perfect autumn colour. Pictures here may not do it justice so I may do a separate post on it. I would say it is a mauve-y deep pink leaning to brown with purple undertones. Definitely do check out swatches on the internet for the true colour.

Okay the last 2 products which I have been wanting for AGES are the MAC powder blushes in Dame and Fleur Power. I freaking love Dame, it is the perfect light warm pink that is very suitable for fair girls. It gives just enough colour without looking too ‘made-up’ and really brightens up the complexion. I haven’t tried Fleur Powder yet because I’ve been obsessing with Dame this week, but I’ll try to use it and give it a fair review. I find MAC blushes similar to Pokeballs, you just wanna collect them all!

The last item is the Nyx Tinted Lip Spa in Copacabana. My friend bought it for me and it cost around SGD$7 I believe. I read lots of great reviews and my review will probably be up soon so do stay tune!

Here is my mind blowing data entry work. Get ready!
