On an Adventure (Simple Stories So Rad)

Hello, TinaGale here! Today I have a layout using the  Simple Stories So Rad collection and then lots of things from my stash.
Using 6x6 pads is a great way to get a sampling of all the paper in a collection as well as I love the smaller prints so you can really use a lot of different patterns on a page. Be sure to come back each day this week for more inspiration from the Design Team using 6x6 paper pads!

Here's a look at the process

If you're reading in email click the link below to watch

I love layering up all kinds of embellishments and mixing collections. I mixed the cork word from the Journey collection and alphas from the Simple Stories Summer Vibes collection.

Tucking in labels and circles are a great way to build up a cluster. Adding enamel dots is the perfect finishing touch. I loved this quote in the Cocoa Vanilla Made of Awesome sticker sheet.

Tags are another great way to start out a cluster embellishment. The twine adds some great texture and dimension to your layout.

Girl talk

Hello and happy Wednesday!
Lisa here today to share a page I created using Simple Stories So Fancy. I love this fun line! The colors and embellies are out of this world gorgeous!
I used a photo of my daughter and a few friends at Homecoming a few years back for this layout:

See what, did I tell you? Check out the colors- FABULOUS!

I added some Gelatos mixed with water and some navy mist spatters for my background.
I love the banner, it came in the Bits & Pieces. I just added a bit of stitching and a flower to it:

The "Girl talk" card was fussy cut from a 6x6 paper. I love it!
Oh another thing I love about this line- they have bradz, but guess what? They don't have those nasty prongs that you have to poke through the paper! They just stick!

Here is a cluster of embellies from the Bits & Pieces pack. Check out the perfume bottle, lipstick, nail polish and yes, that gold arrow! SWOON!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Fancy!

Hey there!
Lisa here today to share a layout I created using Simple Stories So Fancy. Yup, I love this line! What more can I say?!

I used a stencil, modeling paste, watercolors and mist for my background.
I then added layers using papers from the 6x6 paper pad, frames and bits & pieces

Love the bits & pieces of gold in this collection!

I closer look at the layers:

I hope you have a fantastic day!

Be Awesome!

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!
Lisa here to share a layout that I created using Simple Stories So Rad. This is a photo of my son taken at the lake on July 4, 2014. The colors in this line was perfect for this photo!

I added some watercolors and stamping to my background. Then I started layering papers from the 6x6 paper pad.
I used a stencil and ink to create the coffee stains in the corner. I then added the star stickers from the So Rad collection along with the sun wood veneer colored with a Gelato:

The cattail piece is from Creative Embellishments. I added some light modeling paste to it. Once it was dry, I colored it with Gelatos:

The frames are always my favorite part to a collection and the frames in this collection ROCK!

The "Awesome" title is in the Bits & Pieces Pack:

Above is a close up of some of the background work and you can see that I added some stitching as well.
If you are in the market for a fun boys line, check out the Simple Stories So Rad. It's amazing!

10 Random Facts

Hello and welcome to the weekend! Jennifer here to share a layout I created for Got Talent Challenge #13!  For this challenge I asked participants to make a list! In honor of my daughter turning 12 this past week, I jotted down ten random facts about her.   I used Simple Stories' I Am collection which is always a favorite and can be used for so many themes!

I used some black foam American Craft Thickers for my title! They go so well with this line! I also added a cute heart arrow from the I Am Wood Veneer Shapes.

I used my typewriter to create my  list! You can also see the self-adhesive Bradz which I love!

I Am also has adorable Chipboard Frames...I included two of the smaller frames on my page!

I am a big fan of banners and I love this gold accent banner from the 6x12 Chipboard Sheet.

Showing more of the Bradz as well as Chipboard Accents from I AM!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the weekly Got Talent Challenges! Play along for your chance to win the weekly prize!  All entrants will be entered to win a Grand Prize at the end of the challenge! Go here to see more information!

It's a Perfect Day

Hi there!  Lisa here today to share I layout I created using a mash up of October Afternoon Summertime and Simple Stories Summer Vibes.  These two lines are just so much fun together...the aquas and yellows mixed with the grid design found in both lines just makes it work!

FullSizeRender (3)-003

And my new favorite product....Summer Vibes Enamel Dots!  They are so cute and add a little splash of color without getting messy! (Because some days it's just not okay to walk around with mist and paint colored fingers!  Am I right??!)
Hope you all are enjoying the last bits of summer..it's time to use up those summer lines you've been hoarding!  Be sure to share with us over in the Flickr Group!

Hello Summer!

It's Saturday which means its my turn on the blog to share a fun summer layout I created with
Simple Stories' Summer Vibes collection!  I love the warm muted colors of this line and of course the embellishments!  Simple Stories rocks the selection of embellies including their fun

I love the Chipboard Frames as well! Here, I paired one with a couple of the Bits and Pieces with a Chipboard accents for my title.

I used a cut file from Just Nick Studios and filled in random spaces with patterned papers.  At the bottom of my page, I used one of the Bits and Pieces and accented with a cut sun Bradz.  Of course no layout is complete without a few coordinating Enamel Dots

Showing one of the cute smaller Chipboard Frames that I layered under my photo!

I used one of the open rectangle spaces for my journaling!

Thanks for reading today!  Hope this inspires you scraps some of your favorite summer photos!
Have a great day!

U & Me

Hi there, Lisa S here today to share a page I created with my *last* piece of Simple Stories I Am...I think I need to restock as I still have lots of embellies (oh how I love the Chipboard Frames)...I know many of you bought this line (we all loved it so much!) so here's a little fresh inspiration for the collection...

Like I said, I only had the one piece of paper so I had to be creative.  I used one piece of paper, two border stickers and 2 journaling cards as the base of this layout.  I cut another journaling card into the flag shape for a little journaling and cut the flower you see below my photo from another of the journaling cards.  Stickers and chipboard round it out for a fast and easy page highlighting a quick snapshot I took with my daughter this past Sunday.  Hop on over to our Throwback Thursday board for the challenge with this layout!

Daddy's Girl

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout I created for our Tuesday Trigger Challenge in the forums.  The challenge for June is to use Dads, Yellow and/or Sunshine on your page.  I used a sunshiney collection, the Simple Stories Summer Vibes Collection to create a page about my youngest daughter and her daddy.  Yellow embellies just finished it off...

I just loved working with the Summer Vibes collection.  It's definitely versatile and doesn't need to be used JUST for summer photos.  The collection kit is an amazing value, too...Kit HERE.  It comes with one of each of the papers and stickers, including alphas and can be used for traditional or pocket scrapbook pages. And as an enabler alert, the Recollections flowers from Michaels are the perfect shade of mint and yellow for the collection.  :)  Hope to see you linking us up with this month's challenge.  We love to see your work!

Happy Summertime!

Hi there friends!  I'm here to share one last Just Nick cut file page with you today!
I used the Wobbly Circles file and some Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy products from the My Scraps & More shop!

I actually welded three of the shapes together and then cut a 4th one up into individual circles.  I backed the circles with patterned paper and then just added a few embellies and stitching here and there.

I also used the Ink Splats cut file, too, and cut out some small splatter from grey cardstock.  Don't you think it would be a great idea to cut out a whole bunch of ink splotches from black, white, and grey (and other colors) and just have them on hand, or take them with you when you go to a crop and don't want to bring your paint or mists?

You MAY have a last chance to enter the $20 My Scraps & More giveaway by leaving a comment on THIS blog post on the Just Nick blog....but you'd better hurry!
