Home decor

Before I share a project I made for our Bedroom wall, the winners of the wine labels are Ira Huberts (15), Joy (8) and Gilda (20). Joy, will you flickr mail me your address and Gilda, I have my e-mail nr on my profile, if you would contact me, I would be grateful. Thank you for your lovely comments and never ending support to all who leave me such uplifting comments!

I had accumulated a lot of punched squares over the last weeks and I thought it would make one big puzzle to hang up in the bedroom. Most of the stamps are Hero Arts stamped on wine labels. This is therapy for me!

Here is a little close up of part of it.

We are having some beautiful Spring weather here which is so enjoyable! Its great to hear the birds singing again and to be outside in the sun. I had to miss the sun last year so I am enjoying it double so much now!! I can walk around without a covering on my head too which is a relief, my hair is growing nicely, although very short, I am grateful that I can wash it and dry it again! I really missed that. I suppose we all become grateful again for the things we so often take for granted!

Sending heartfelt blessings!

Butterflies

I love the textured backgrounds for cards and thanks to Franziska I have some to play with!

I am using a label I don't use very often. I gold embossed the Scroll Frame from Hero Arts and gold embossed some butterflies on patterned paper.

I still have quite some labels and would be willing to share with some more dear bloggers! So if you are interested just leave a comment and I will pick three people.

This is a quick post as I am having to rest my neck more due to Arthritis which is giving me some problems at the moment. The chemotherapy fragilizes the body and this is the result. I am hoping and praying once again for a miracle of healing. Here is a good link for all of us!

Framed label

This morning I got a little inspiration-package from Dee. Dee has been a friend for ages, she always e-mails me to ask little questions about my cards, which I really like. The frame for the wine-label was from her. This design was inspired by a card Sally did here, and she was inspired by a card that Franziska did here! So we are all inspiring each other in the wine label world at the moment :)

I really loved this little pouch too with lots of little goodies inside.
Thank you Dee!

And I actually got a new stamp, which of course I had to use on a .. wine label!

Before I go I have to share some photos of Spring here in the South of France. It was so warm on Wednesday that we went down to the beach and I took some photos of the Almond Tree that is blossoming everywhere at the moment.

Here you see the almonds are still on the tree from last year and it is blooming again and the new green leaves are appearing, which is quite a rare sight!

Have a great week!

A couple of cards in pink

The first card is using a wine label and an assortment of stamps. The image is from patterned paper.

For the second card I used a tag which was a free gift in a Magazine. Just gave it a bow and a diecut background and it made for a very quick card.

Now for a little cooking tip. Do you have a Muffin tin? Well, until Saturday I never ever owned one! I found one at our local store, one with six rather large cups in it. Saturday night I arranged a cozy dinner for two with DH and wanted to do something special and original. So I made some mini Asparagus tarts in the Muffin Tin. So easy! Used puff pastry which I cut out into four circles and into four of the cups. I mixed four eggs, a little bit of cream, Roquefort cheese (3rd of a pack), salt, pepper and a jar of asparagus which I just cut into small pieces. Mixed it all together, and divided the mixture on top of the pasty into the four cups - made a little lid from the pastry that was over for all four and they cooked in about 15 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees. They were delicious with a salad and ready in no time. It just made it a little bit special to eat real home-made food. (Forgot to take a photo..)

Kathy’s Lily Pad Palette and Hero Arts Monthly Challenge

This card is for two challenges, one is a color palette challenge on the Lily Pad's blog and the other is this Months Challenge on the Hero Arts Blog, calling for a.o. flowers.

So I used the Garden Star flower stamp from Hero Arts, which I distressed with Victorian velvet. The leaves are made with a leaf-stamp from the Leaf Print set. The cuttlebug background was sent to me by Franziska, I particularly love this one. The little pearls were a gift from Jill W - thanks again ladies.

Hope you all have a lovely week. I just had my tooth boored out, nerves and all as I broke it this week. It needs a crown. Luckily I didn't feel any pain, I was very nervous.

Thanks ladies for your visits, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your friendship in this way.

Still in the wine label cards

Hello friends. I was wondering whether I have blog readers who are in the same situation as me - something definitive has happened and your future is not as sure as it was. I am talking about the fact that I had breast cancer and that changes your life! I am also talking to those who have put their lives into the Hands of God and have chosen to follow Him through Jesus Christ because I wanted to share about not giving up on that hope that God is always GOOD!We can't fathom His Thoughts or Ways out but His Character is Love and loving kindness! Never let the devil sow doubt in your mind about God's character or His Word. Stand firm on His Promises, you know the Rhema words that He has spoken deep into your spirit and stay attached to Him. The Bible says that if we abide in Him, He abides in us. We, as a family want to make an impact in our region, in our Church. We can only bear fruit if we abide in the Vine, in Jesus, because without Him nothing of lasting impact is achieved.

I have been busy making cards for the Mission in our Church, I'm sharing a couple here - with wine labels. These were found in the bin by my son who was working in a 'Cave' with his boss. They are such great little canvasses to work with, the quality of the paper is exceptional and reacts especially well with distress inks.
The above card is stamped with an image from Artistic Outpost - never use that stamp but it looks so effective now.

This card uses a Hydrangea image from Inkadinkado, which I bought once when I was in America and still love it.

And this card using an image from Darkroom Doors. No Hero Arts Stamps this time :) but they are still my favorite.

Now for a little tip about what you can do when you barbecue. If you have bushes of Rosemary in the garden, just put three or four branches on the coals, under the grill, to flavor your meat! I saw this on one of Jamie Oliver's programmes. The above picture is Rosemary from my garden. I am discovering this herb as never before and use it a lot in the kitchen!
