Fairies...

***WARNING: PHOTO HEAVY.
LITERALLY A TON OF PHOTOS.***

So, I don't do fairies.  I really don't.  Not sure why, exactly, but it's just not something I DO.  BUT, when I saw this free digital stamp over at the Graphic's Fairy, I immediately knew I had to use it!  I've made a set of four cards.  I'll show you each of them, so this post will be incredibly photo heavy...bear with me! :)  I'll start with my least favorite and work to my favorite...you don't have to agree with me. ;)

This set of cards for these fabulous challenges~

I started by coloring the images with watercolor pens and different inks.  After doing this, I sprayed them with my homemade glimmer mist and dried it with my heat gun until it was just a bit damp still.  After doing this, I dry embossed each one with a different embossing folder.  Then it I just had to attach my images to some cardstock and then place it on my embellished card fronts.  So easy, LOVE the effect!!!

Thanks for stopping by--I hope you like what you see!  Please join these fabulous challenges--happy stamping! :)

Make My Monday: Floral/Color Challenge

Hi!  It's the last week for our FLORAL theme over at Make My Monday, and this week we've got a color scheme for you to play with as well!  The colors we'd like to see are green, pink, and white!

Here's what I created~

Details~

This was another use of images from The Graphic's Fairy (so OF COURSE, I'm linking it to Brag Monday!), but this time I lined three separate black and white images up next to each other before printing them.  I then colored them with blender pens, crumpled the paper up, semi unfolded it, sprayed is with pearl glimmer mist, and added it to the paper pieced background I made! :)  Since it fits the colors of green and pink at Cute Card Thursday, I'm linking there, too! :)  What do you think?!

Thanks for coming over and taking a peek at my card--I LOVE reading all your sweet comments!  I hope you take the chance to also go and comment on the other fabulous DT creations over at Make My Monday!  Happy stamping--can't wait to see YOUR creation! :)

Make My Monday: Floral/Flower + Music

Hi, friends!  Are you ready for another FABULOUS challenge over at Make My Monday?!  Great!  Because we have a fun one for you!!!  In keeping with the monthly FLORAL theme, we're asking you to create something with any type of flower PLUS music!

Here's what I came up with~
Details~

I made my musical flower by printing out a sheet music image from The Graphic's Fairy, punching 2 flowers out with my a flower punch, water coloring the flowers with different colors, and finally misting them with gold glimmer mist.  A few branches from another punch created a nice focal point.  I created the 3D effect by popping one flower up on top of the other after I curled the petals up a bit.  What do you think?!

Thanks for taking a peek at my little creation.  Since I used an image from The Graphic's Fairy, I'm linking this to Brag Monday. :)

So, I can't wait to see what YOU create this week!  And don't forget to see what my fabulous design teammates have created as well!  Happy stamping!!! :)

Make My Monday: Floral/Lily of the Valley

Welcome to a new month at the Make My Monday challenge blog!!!  We've got a fabulous new theme this month: FLORAL.  This week, we're asking for floral creations featuring lily of the valleys or a white flower.  I LOVE lily of the valleys as May is my birth month and that means that this is my birth flower!  And I LOVE the meaning behind the flower--return to happiness!  SO TRUE, as an educator, school's out at the end of May and I can return to crafting all day long! ;D

Here's my card for this fabulous challenge~

Details~

I used a vintage digital image from The Graphic's Fairy, colored it in with blender pens and a glitter gel pen, and  then sponged around the image.  For the background panel, I stamped random images from a few of my Pink Paislee sets and dry embossed it.  Some ribbon and Prima crystals finished it off! What do you think?

Since I used a Graphic's Fairy image, I'm entering this into Brag Monday!  Thanks for stopping by--I hope you like what you've seen and come play along with us at Make My Monday!  And don't forget to pop along to the other DT's blogs to see they're stunning creations!  Happy stamping!!! :)
