Greetings, blog friends! Welcome to the June edition of DeNami Design's Inspired By feature! Each month we feature one talented DeNami customer's work, and then honor
that wonderful artist with a host of DeNami DT projects inspired by it!
This month we were inspired by Jennifer Loftfield.
You can read all about Jennifer's inspiring design right HERE.
Here's my creation that was inspired by her fun card:
I used DeNami's sweet Giraffe, Square Word Bubble, and "hi" from Everyday Greetings stamp set, as well as the Cloudy Sky embossing folder and some Pink/White Dots washi tape from the DeNami store.
Be sure to head over to the DeNami Design blog today to see how the rest of the team was inspired by Jennifer's lovely creation!
Thanks so much for visiting today. May your day be filled with bliss!

A Happy Hello
Sending out a Happy Hello to all my blog friends this sunny May morning!
I hope you had a great weekend. It was a busy, busy one here at our house. On my personal agenda for the weekend was making a card to send to my aunt for Aunts' Week. She doesn't have any kids of her own, so when my sister and I were growing up, she and some of her fellow teachers declared the week before Mothers' Day as "Aunt's Week." All their nieces and nephews (which included my big sis and me!) were encouraged to send letters and cards that all the aunties could pin up and share on a bulletin board in the teachers' lounge. We still mark Aunt's Week each year! I wanted to make something really special for her, and I think I succeeded. But I'll tell ya, I kept getting interrupted by one or the other of my kids with questions and help requests in regards to special school projects they are both working on, so it took me all weekend just to make this card! But I guess the wait was worth it--I really like how it turned out. Plus, I'm so proud of myself for digging deep into my stash and finally using some trims and papers I bought from Webster's Pages a few years ago. Gotta stop hoarding all that and use it to spread some sunshine to the folks I love!! Anyway, here it is:
I love the fresh look of that red, bright blue, and chartreuse color combo! So cheery, don't you think? The sentiment and dotted circle are both stamps from the Medallion Motif stamp set by Flourishes. The papers and trims are from Webster's Pages All About Me collection.
I've got to run off now and tackle my monster to-do list, so I'll catch you later. Thanks for stopping by for a little slice of bliss with me today!

DeNami Design Happy Monsters Sneak Peeks
Welcome to Day 3 of the DeNami Design Spring/Summer 2014 Release Sneak Peeks!! Today DeNami DT Member Tammy Hobbs and I are giving you sneak peeks of brand-new DeNami stamps about to be
released on January 10!! Today's sneak peeks are in a brand-new category of DeNami stamps: it's the HAPPY MONSTERS! Be sure to read all the way to the end of this post for details on a great giveaway :D.
These little monsters definitely aren't the spooky kind {wink}. Let's see what kinds of projects you can make with them:
1) My first project is a Father's Day card! I used two cute little happy monsters from two new stamps, E173 Happy Monster w/Balloons and N146 Happy Monster Party. I stamped and fussy cut a large monster from the Happy Monster Party (leaving off his party hat). I also fussy cut the smaller monster, leaving off his party hat and balloon so the daddy monster and kid monster could hold hands! I also used the DeNami Happy Father's Day sentiment, Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Teal Chevron Washi Tape, and one of the new Chevron Embossing folders carried in the DeNami store.
2) My second project is a perfect card for saying hello to a far-off friend! It features the new I69 Happy Monsters in Car stamp, as well as the new E175 Balloon Trio. My card design was perfect for pairing up with the Sending You Smiles sentiment. And doesn't the Cloudy Sky embossing folder make a great background for my road-trip scene?
3) And finally, for my third project, I turned the new N146 Happy Monster Party stamp into a Valentine's Day card! I also used the brand-new F240 You Make Me Feel sentiment and some hearts from the Whimsical Valentine stamp set. Isn't it perfect? And so is the Layered Hearts embossing folder that I used as my on-theme background.
Are you still with me? I mentioned a giveaway way back at the beginning of this post. DeNami is giving away multiple gift certificates today, so be sure to leave a comment here on my post and then check out the DeNami blog for all of the different ways you can win today. :)
I'm so glad that you dropped in to check out some of the new Happy Monster stamps in the DeNami Design Spring/Summer Release! Be sure to tune into the DeNami blog tomorrow for giveaway winners and release full reveal.
Until then, have a day filled with bliss,
Emily

DeNami Design Product Spotlight September Blog Hop
Thanks for stopping by today! The DeNami Design team is featuring a fantastic new rubber stamp set in our Product Spotlight today: it's the Pretty Paisley set! And we're showing it off with a BLOG HOP!
I absolutely could not wait to put these new paisley designs to use in making my own bandana print. Whaddya think?
I stamped a pattern in Onyx Black Versafine ink using paisleys from this set as well as a solid flower from the Garden Accents set and a leaf frond from the Elegant Floral set. Then I simply added doodles around each black element with a white gel pen to give my design the look of a bandana. Super easy! And speaking of easy, finishing off my card design was a snap with DeNami's Whimsical Oval Frame and Howdy stamps for a Western-style sentiment and a bit of baker's twine for an accent.
Falling in love with the new Pretty Paisley set? You can purchase it for 10% off the regular price for the next week. You also have the chance to WIN this fabulous product in today's spotlight blog hop! All you need to do is hop along to each stop in the lineup, leaving comments along the way. Ways With Washi: FRAMES + a Giveaway!
Hello there, DeNami Friends! Today I'm popping in with my August edition of Ways With Washi, a feature I developed for the DeNami Design blog. Today we are going to take a look at ways to use washi tape to add decorative frames to your cards and papercrafted projects. I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to give up summer quite yet! So I thought we could hold on to those halcyon days a little bit longer by featuring some of the newest DeNami stamps that I think capture summer perfectly. All three of these adorable chickie stamps have a camping theme, one of my family's favorite summer activities! I couldn't have been more thrilled when these camping stamps were included in last month's new release.
So, let's get to it! Starting off my washi-frame parade today is this card featuring a super-simple frame made with Purple/White Dots washi tape. I simply matted my focal-image panel on a second piece of cardstock and then adhered strips of washi tape along the edges of the central panel, wrapping the washi tape edges around to the back of the mat. Quick and easy!
Next, I made a frame that somehow reminds me of something more rustic, like a twig frame. Red Stripes washi tape was perfect for this project--I used the stripes as cutting guides to create more slender strips of washi tape. Plus, I love the long, lean framing effect that the stripes add to the design!
For my last project for today, I wanted to show you a really fun patchwork style of washi-tape frame! I trimmed a panel of white cardstock just a bit smaller than my card base and then adhered short strips of three different washi tapes (Pink/White Dots, Yellow/White Dots, and Orange Stripes) all around the edges. There's no need to line up the washi-tape strips; I simply wrapped one edge of each piece around to the back of the panel and varied how much was wrapped behind with each piece.
I hope you enjoyed this little camping adventure while we explored a few ways to make frames with washi tape!
How would you like to win a roll of washi tape to try making some washi frames for yourself? I have a brand-new roll of Brown/White Dots Washi Tape from DeNami Design that I'd love to give away to a reader of this post. Want to be in the running? Just leave me a comment on this post using the word "VACATION." There's no need to be a follower of my blog to enter, but if you are a follower (or become a new follower!), you can have a second entry in the drawing--just leave me a second comment telling me that you are a follower and how you follow. :)
I'll leave commenting open until 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, and will draw one commenter at random. The winner will be announced right here on my blog on Thursday, August 29, and if I'm able to find an email address, I'll be sure to contact the winner as well.
I'm so glad you dropped by for a little slice of bliss today!

Summery Hi
How did it get to be the first day of August already?!?!? I am completely blown away by how fast this year is going. Back-to-school, then Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then {gasp!} Christmas are all just around the corner!!
But I'm getting ahead of myself! It's so important to enjoy summer, and all the things that go with it (like popsicles, swimming, and bright, bright colors), while we still can. So today I'm sharing a bright, summery card that's also being featured over on the DeNami blog today.
Perfect for spreading the bright joy of summer to just about anybody, right? I used the DeNami Solid Decorative Crest for my focal point and jazzed it up with lots of sparkle, supplied by a few peach-toned rhinestones and some sparkly green glitter glue. This image can make a card look quite formal (which somehow just didn't seem right with my bright and happy colors), so I toned down the overall formality by distressing the edges of the patterned papers (some ancient ones by Echo Park that I found in my stash).
Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you have a fabulous day! :D

A Western HOWDY for Independence Day
Happy Birthday, USA!! I hope that my American friends are enjoying a safe and festive Independence Day today, wherever you may be!
I'm popping in very quickly to share a card appearing over on the DeNami Design blog today.
I made this for my horse-loving daughter's half birthday recently. She is a Christmas-season baby, so for years now we've celebrated her half birthday in the summer with cake and presents (rather than on her actual birthday in December) to avoid overload at an already tending-toward-excess time of year. I teamed up the ultra-adorable Cowboy Chickie, Howdy sentiment, and a Ruby Red Boutique Button with some delightful digital elements from the Giddy Up {Boy} collection from Carta Bella (available at JessicaSprague.com).
Thanks for dropping by today!

A Craft Dash Hello
Hello there, friends! Today DeNami Design Rubber Stamps is sponsoring this week's 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge! Sweet Paulina invited the DeNami Design team to play along. Challenge #20 features the colors hot pink, tangerine, and gray. Such an interesting and unique color combo!
Is the idea of completing a {usable} card in under 10 minutes as frightening to you as it is to me??? This is the third time that I've played along with 10 Minute Craft Dash as a DeNami Design team member, and I must say that it hasn't gotten any easier. But it's still fun to try!! Here's what i made this time around:
My hot pink comes in the form of Cherry Pink Impress ink from DeNami. I used it to stamp flower petals from the Solid Flower Accents cling stamp set. My tangerine shows up as the DeNami Golden Tangerine cardstock that I used for my card base and the tangerine flower center, stamped with the circular grid from the Whimsical Garden cling stamp set and colored with a Copic marker. My gray elements include the punched frame I used to mat my focal image, the gray background polka dots on the card base (DeNami Polka Dot Background stamped in Smokey Gray Versafine ink), and the perfectly scripted "Hello" found in the Assorted Greetings petit four stamp set.
My time for this overly ambitious design? I just squeaked in under the wire at 9:58. Whew! I was really sweating it as I tried to quickly peel off the foam-tape backing while completing the final step of mounting the focal panel ;) .
Want to give this challenge a go? I think you ought to – there is an awesome prize at stake! Check it out:
If you don't already have any DeNami Design stamps, then this is a great way to start your collection with no risk ;-). And if you do? Then you have the chance to feed your addiction! The challenge runs from June 19, 2013, through June 29, 2013.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have an awesome Wednesday!

DeNami Wonderful Washi Blog Hop
Good morning, friends! I am so excited to be a part of today's DeNami Design blog hop! Today the DeNami Design team and DeNami Design customers are showing off wonderful ways to use washi tape. If you have heard my news about my new monthly blog feature {Ways With Washi} over on the DeNami Design blog, then you know that this is right up my alley!!
I am the last stop on today's hop. Hopefully, you've arrived here by way of Donna Bowman's blog, The Crafty Corgi. If so, you are on the right track! If not, you'll want to head over to the DeNami blog to start the blog hop at the beginning. (And remember, if you get lost along the way, you can always head over to the DeNami blog to get pointed in the right direction.)
Don't forget, there are some amazing DeNami prizes to be won! Two lucky commenters will be drawn at random from among the comments left along the blog hop to win a $20 DeNami Design gift certificate! You have until Monday, January 14, 2013, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs to be eligible for a prize.
So, shall we get on our wonderful washi way? Here is what I created with some wonderful washi tape from DeNami Design.
It's a set of mini note cards for my 10YO son! They all measure 3" x 3". I used DeNami Design's super awesome Road Washi Tape for these. And a bunch of DeNami Design rubber stamps, too, if you can believe that! The Cars & Trucks stamp set, Medium Double Line Square, Birthday Celebration Set 1, Make Way! It's Your Day!, Sending You Smiles, and You're "Wheel" Nice all made it to my crafting table. I was inspired to make these by the Make an Itty Bitty Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, celebrating the release of the new special issue, 75 Creative Card Challenges.
Anyway, my mini cars were fun, quick, and easy! All that was left to do then was package them up in a DeNami Design boutique box and tie them up with some baker's twine.
I hope you have collected tons of great ideas for using washi tape! I am the last stop on today's hop. Be sure to leave a comment before you go to be in a drawing for a Denami Design gift certificate.
Thanks for hopping along today!

OK, so on to my bright, bold, and beautiful project! When I think "bold and bright," I think NEONs, which are so totally hot and on-trend this summer. So I reached for a pack of neon-hued cardstock and my trusty, summery, bold, bright, and, dare I say, "neon-y" 6 x 6 pad of Lime Rickey patterned paper from BasicGrey.
I just LOVE paper-piecing this giant DeNami butterfly! It certainly is beautiful, isnt' it? And bold and bright, too, right? The dotted scallops border that I stamped in white comes from the very useful Retro Borders 1 set (cling-style).
I hope you are enjoying the hop and gather lots of bright and bold ideas along the way! Before you leave, be sure to leave a comment to be eligible for the randomly drawn prizes and then you can be on your way to the next stop on the hop, the blog of Stacy M., Sweethearts & Sweet Tarts.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Enjoy the blog hop,
Stamps: Large Butterfly (cling), Retro Borders 1 set (cling), Everyday Greetings set by DeNami Design
Paper: neon cardstock from The Paper Company, patterned paper from the BasicGrey Lime Rickey collection

Woodgrain Background Two Ways
Last month I won a spot in the new Stretch Your Stamps online class, and yesterday was the very first day of class. I've never participated in an online papercrafting course before so I was very curious about it and eager to try it out. And I must say, the first day was AWESOME!! I learned soooooooooooo much. The first day was all about stretching your background stamps, and I couldn't wait to try some of what I learned. So I took a little time to make these cards this morning:
Both use the Designer Woodgrain stamp from Hero Arts and sentiments from the Messages set, also from Hero Arts.
The colors I used on the first card were inspired by this Vera Bradley backpack in Lime's Up. I suppose I was also a bit influenced by the pattern, too ;).
My colors in the second card were inspired by the July Hero Arts color challenge:
I'm so excited to be able to play along with A Blog Named Hero: Challenge #7 STRETCH Your Stamps with these two cards, showing how I used the same woodgrain background stamp in two different ways in two very different projects. :D
I'm also playing along again with Kim Kesti's Crafty Month challenge--to create a card (the neon colors one) that combines at least one new item and one item from your stash (at least one year old). For this card, my new item is the Hero Arts Woodgrain stamp, and my old item from my stash is the Websters Pages Bloomers. I've got to stop hoarding that ribbon!!

I have a lot on my list today, so it's time to go tackle it. Thanks so much for checking out what I did with my little bit of "me time" today!

Let's get on with the show! Nothing says "summer" to me more than bright colors and fun, outdoorsy activities--like catching butterflies! So I put my Chickie and Butterflies cling stamp to good use, and constructed this scene using lots of patterned paper:
Those sweet butterflies are from the Fancy Flutters Set, the little "hi!" is from the Everyday Greetings stamp set, and those dotty flight lines were made from the ultra-versatile Steam Curl stamp.
Well, I'm sure you're eager to see rest of the sweet SUMMER lineup! Before you leave, be sure to leave a comment to be eligible for the randomly drawn prizes and then you can be on your way to stop number three on the hop, the blog of Carol Hartery, Carol Hartery's Creations.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Enjoy the blog hop,

DeNami Sneak Peeks: CHICKIES
Welcome to Day 1 of the DeNami Design Fall/Winter Release Sneak Peeks!! Today DT Member Lisa Petrella
and I are giving you sneak peeks of brand-new DeNami stamps about to be
released in the always-fun CHICKIES category! Be sure to read all the way to the
end of this post for details on a great giveaway :D.
If you are a DeNami chickie lover, you will positively swoon over the chick-tastic new release! There are new chickies for Halloween, new chickies for Christmas, and some fun new chickies for everyday. I had SO much fun with my new chickie stamps getting ready for this fall/winter release! It was hard to decide where to start, but in the end I went with some of the new everyday chickies. Are ready to see them? OK, fasten your seat belts--here we go!!
What could be more fun than a racing chickie?!? For my first card I used the brand-new Race Car Chickie (CL-G154) and Make Way! It's Your Day! (CL-F224) stamps. My hubby is a huge car fanatic, so this will be for his birthday in September. I know he'll love it! I stamped the race car on watercolor paper in black Versafine ink and heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder. Then I watercolor-painted this fun little guy and his wheels with dye inks.
Up next I played with the new Swinging Chickie (CL-D146) on a pair of clean and simple cards. I wanted to make the swing ropes ultra long for this card design, so I extended them with a ruler and an ultra-fine tipped Sharpie. I paper-pieced the chickies on white cardstock so I could color them with Prismacolor pencils. So, why two nearly identical cards? Well, I couldn't decide which I liked better: underlining my design with some scored lines, or tying on some baker's twine. This card was so quick and easy to make, that I did it both ways!
So are you starting to think that these new chickie stamps are just like potato chips? (You know, because you can't stop after just one--one card, that is!). Well, what I did with the new Business Chickie (CL-C92) would certainly make you think so! This little guy is SO cute! He made me think of some kind of bureaucrat or government agent--of the cutest, fluffiest kind, of course--that might come 'round to "chick" up on you. :D
And there you have it--my chickie sneak peeks for the new release!
Congratulations for making it to the end of this looooooooooooooong post :). I mentioned a giveaway way back at the beginning, and here's what's up for grabs:
Paulina is giving away TWO of these Chickie-themed prize packages today, one on the DeNami blog and one from today's featured blogs (that would be my blog here and Lisa Petrella's blog). The winners will be randomly selected from the comments left on the three blogs, so be sure to comment in all three places to maximize your chance of winning!
I'm so glad that you dropped in to check out some of the new chickie stamps in the DeNami Design Fall/Winter Release! Be sure to tune into the DeNami blog tomorrow for more sneak peeks and another giveaway.
Have a day filled with bliss!

Houndstooth Greetings
I'm waiting for the call that my daughter is on the way home from her Girl Scout camping trip so I can go to pick her (and her gear) up. I've been working on a card (for fun!) while I wait. Here it is:
I really wanted to play in this month's Market Street Stamps Block Party, so I inked up my MSS Houndstooth background stamp so I could make a graphic design with a girl's best friend! Here's a closeup of all that fabulous houndstooth goodness.
My card base is also stamped with the houndstooth background. The (partially inked) sentiment comes from MSS Prancer.
I took my colors from this week's Play Date Cafe challenge.
I also finally had time to play with some new products today. A while back I was contacted by Bazzill Basics Paper to see if I'd like to try out their brand new line of Card Shoppe cardstock, a collection of smooth heavy-weight cardstock developed specifically for cardmakers. They sent me a sample pack of 56 sheets of gorgeous cardstock (2 sheets each of 28 different colors with fun candy-themed color names). I have been soooooooo busy with so many things recently that I haven't had time to try them--until today! Today's creation features Candy Necklace (a beautiful aquamarine color) and Whirlypop (a deep blue color). They both took ink and punched beautifully! My Candy Necklace card base also scored and creased perfectly. I'm looking forward to playing with more colors from this pack throughout the week and will definitely report back on my findings. Bazzill was kind enough to send along a second sample pack of Card Shoppe cardstock, so look for a giveaway here on my blog soon!!
Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my little slice of bliss for today!
