Target, How I love Thee

So, I had to run to Michael's today to pick up a gift for a lady Nate works with- and I happened to be right in the neighborhood of Target. I banned myself from Target while Nate was job hunting because I often find AWESOME deals there and cannot resist. Now that Nate has his new job I have lifted the ban. This shopping trip is an example of why the ban was in force. Below you will find my purchases and their justifications- as if the prices are not justification enough.
Total Spent: $105.44 GASP
  • Over the shoulder bags: Regular price-9.96 Paid 4.98 Justification- Gifts
  • Jakie T: Regular Price-2.99 Paid 2.08- Justification-not the greatest discount- but he is growing and needs clothes
  • Jakie Sweater Vest: Regular Price 9.99 Paid 4.98- Justification - HELLO SWEATER VEST
  • Jakie Shorts: Regular Price 6.99 Paid 3.48- Justification- Growing boy.
  • Maternity Swim suit: Regular price- 34.99 - Paid 8.49- Justification- did not know it was maternity when I tried it on, but when my boobs did not fill the cups i figured I could use it next time I got pregnant- it turned out to be Maternity.
  • King size bed skirt: Regular price-19.99 - Paid 4.98- we are getting a king bed and there is no way i'm paying full price for one of these
  • King size bed skirt: Regular Price- 29.99- Paid 7.48- same as above- the one I don't keep goes to my BIL.
  • 3 sets of twin sheets: Regular price-12.99 - Paid 3.24- I have 2 kids and all of their sheets are hand me downs
  • Toss pillow: Regular price- 15.49- Paid 3.87- Too cute not to buy and I want our bed to look fancier- like we have money or something.
  • 2 Roman Shades: Regular Price- 39.99- Paid 9.98
  • Cafe Curtains 2 sets: Regular Price 14.99- Paid 3.74
  • And 9 items from the $1 bin including gifts to put up for Christmas and decorative plates for goodie giving.
I'm still in shock over my total and even looking at the huge pile of Target bags full of bargains does not help me feel good about spending 2 weeks worth of grocery money at Target. More justifications to make me feel better: we will need sheets sooner than later, and it is good to pay so little for them. I love those Roman shades, and It is such a bargain to get them for $10- hopefully they fit the windows in the new house we get- they fit this house perfect. The cafe curtains will fit anyplace and Green is so in. Bed skirts- hello- i was looking for them anyhow- hopefully i can find a great deal on king size bed sheets. (and a king size bed and a house that will fit a king size bed). Ok, i'll keep trying. it is helping a little.
