4 Years Later

Its been for years now without Cinnamon.
I always enjoy making a new piece of art each year to commemorate her.

My daughter is almost two now and I really wish they could have met..

Cinnamon

Three years ago today Cinnamon passed away.
I've been trying to draw something every year on this day to spend some time thinking about her. We went to McDonalds today too and got some soft serve cones and listened to this song on the drive home. I'm not sure why but that song is kinda 'Cinnamon's song' and she loved eating those ice cream cones so its a nice tradition to remember her by.

Sad day

Cinnamon

Cinnamon with her favorite toy, "her baby" as we called it.

Today makes two years since she passed away. I spent some time today reminiscing at the dog park we used to take her to all the time, she loved it there.  Right after she died we got a stone engraved there in memory of her and its nice to go and see it from time to time.

Cinnamon

My dog of 15 years, Cinnamon, passed away on Friday February 5th.
A month ago she was diagnosed with having a bone tumor on her pelvis. She has had difficulty walking since around the middle of November, and we found out that tumor was the cause, she was on heavy pain medication and that helped her for a while, but in the past 2 weeks her decline was rapid.

This isn't art, but I wanted to post pictures of her because she was such an important part of my life, every day she would be at my feet under my desk while I worked, and for the past many years she was the best friend anyone could ever hope to have. She loved you no matter what and asked nothing in return. She was more of a person to me than a dog.

I will miss her dearly and just wanted to share her with people who viewed my blog.
My wife and I chronicled her life on her own blog for the past year or so, you can see some more pictures there: cinnamonstarcorley.blogspot.com

These pictures are some taken on the last day we took her to the park.

I love her so much.

Daniel Handler

Daniel Handler is probably my favorite author, and I've been wanting to make book covers for his 3 adult books ever since I redesigned his Lemony Snicket series.

This is the first.
