Mighty No.9 Poster (Boss Version)

Made an alternate version of yesterdays poster to include the bosses.
I know their silhouettes could change as the boss designs are revealed in the coming weeks but this works for now.
Again check out the KICKSTARTER!

And here's some concept work I did for the piece.

Mighty No.9!

If you've followed my blog for a while you've seen that Mega Man had a huge impact on me as a kid. I drew the characters all the time and made hundreds of my own bosses. It made me want to draw more and be creative and make my own video games. Great stuff!

Well now that Keiji Inafune has left Capcom and can no longer make Mega Man games he created something new. MIGHTY No.9!

If you are nostalgic for those old MM games or anything of the sort please consider supporting the Kickstarter campaign, we've already met the goal to get the game made but we still have a bit to go to reach the console release of it, plus all the extra goals past that.

Check it out!

Slayon

Back when I was growing up I loved Megaman and would draw my own robot masters all the time. (I'm sure I've mentioned that before)
I also liked knights, so I made this guy up as my ideal robot/knight. He's a good guy.
I thought I would redraw him now if only to feel good about improving my drawing skills.

Drawn in 1993

Redrawn in 2012

And here's a bonus image of Slayon. This was back when I didn't doubt my ability to draw.
I just drew whatever I wanted even if I didn't know how. Hover cycle that might double as a metal detector? No sweat

Commando Man

This is my entry for the Mega Man 10 weekly Robot Masters fan art contest.
Every week the contest will be to draw one of the boss characters, this week its Commando Man.
I've been so busy with other projects lately that I haven't had any time for personal art, so this is a nice break I can take each week.

I made the style pretty simple like on those christmas cards I did, plus I saw these mario and zelda desktop wallpapers on GoNintendo (i think) and I really liked how they looked, so its my nod to that as well.

Thanks for lookin!

Then & Now

When I was a kid, I loved the MegaMan games, (still do) and I always was inspired to draw my own robot bosses as if I got to design the newest game, (still want to) I made hundreds of these it feels like..

Recently I pulled out some of my old drawings and thought, what would these guys look like if I drew them now?

And here we have it.
