BBTB2: Cricut - Tropical Paradise Found

This week it's my turn to host the challenge at Bitten by the Bug2.  Since it's summer and I've been dreaming of my adventure earlier this year to Ecuador, I thought I could incorporate my pictures into a theme.   Our theme is Tropical and/or Tropical Vacation.  Let's see those beautiful tropical palms, flowers, and Polynesian type of cuts on your cards or projects.  Link up your projects HERE. Maybe you may even get out the lawn chair and have a great tropical dream!

Cuts used on this layout:
Sun: Luau
Palm Tree: Summer Love
Leaves: Dinosaur Tracks
Flowers: Pack Your Bags
Banner:1st Few Years
Words:  Life's A Beach
Sequins from Queen and Co.  Inking on all pieces.  Can you see the paper is a bamboo print?  Oh, how I wish I could spend a few days there again, just floating down the Amazon..........yes, paradise found.............

BBTB2 - Staying Cool In the Pool

Since it's National Watermelon Day, Susan, our hostess this week at BBTB2, has selected a watermelon cut for our challenge.   You can join in our Cricut challenges by linking up your project to Bitten By the Bug 2.  Rules on the blog.

My layout includes cuts from lots of different cartridges:
Watermelon and Popsicle - Simply Charmed
Cooling Off  and Wave - Artbooking
Pool - H2O
Picnic Basket, Ants, and PICNIC - Family Album
SPLASH - Pack Your Bags

My little grandson loves the pool.  He has a sit-in floatie but sometimes I just hold him so he can splash, splash, splash!  I happened to have the camera ready when he was pretending he was Top Model of the Year.  And yes, the camera also captured a not so perfect pose of brother and sister - well that's life!  Love all the pictures and how this Coolin' Off layout came together.

Chillin by the Pool BBTB2 Challenge

I had a vision for these pictures in a scrapbook for over two years.  I guess because the colors were so bright and my granddaughter is my favorite subject.  I knew there were Cricut cuts on Pack Your Bags that would be perfect.  These pictures took a while to scrap, as you see they are Father's Day 2012.  I used the free cut from CCR and added a hand-cut banner and 2012 for the title.  I am glad Melody selected the challenge this week of 'Summer Fun' and I got that little push to get these pages done.  I created two additional pages which only use a few Cricut cuts, but just as colorful.   Come join us for the BBTB2 Summer Fun challenge and post your page, card, or project.  The link is here:  BBTB2
