2017 Desk Calendar

Hello! I love calendars :)

I used the 2017 Decorative Mini Calendars to put together this desk calendar I can use at work.

Having something small and as a quick reference is very handy for me. And if it is cute, it is an extra bonus!

For more details, visit the SRM Blog HERE.

This calendar is for me . . . but I can definitely see myself making more for gifts :)

Enjoy your day!

Feb. '13 Paper Posies kit, part 2

Yesterday I shared some of the projects I made with the FUN February Paper Posies kit. It is available HERE. Today I have two more projects to show you that were completed with the kit.

Last year I began Project Life. I haven't finished the album yet. MOST of the journaling is done, which is a huge help when going back to add in the photos and memorablilia. (Since I didn't finish last year's album, I didn't start one for this year. And I'm ok with that--trying to keep up a good written journal instead).

Since the journaling cards were already done, I added bits and stickers to them to fancy them up.
By printing out the photos out 2x3, it is easier to fit them in the spots and add them to some pretty papers with embellishments.

I loved the Elle's Studio sentiments that were on the tagline piece of the pattern papers. Perfect fits for the photos. I ADORE all of Elle's stuff (if you can't tell that already). :)

Here is a detail shot of the layout I made. It's fun to add little things here and there. Though I will admit I'm not a big layerer, I do enjoy layering the little bits and pieces.

Here is the full layout. This chalkboard piece of patterned paper from Elle's Studio was too awesome not to use. I loved the chevron print on the back so I cut two little strips of the paper and flipped them over to border the right side and bottom edge.

The Queen & Co. washi tape added great little splashed of color and pattern to my projects. And the little gems gave the project a little sparkle :)

Isn't Merek the cutest?
Have a "lovely" day!

May Hip kit Project Life spread

I'm still plugging along with Project Life.
Even though I'm behind on actually getting the pages done,
I have been able to keep up on the daily journaling.

I used the May Hip 2b Square kit for this week of Project Life. I include a ton of journaling because, for me, that is the purpose of the project.

I like to add in the word stickers on top of the page protectors. This way I have more flexibility in placement.
By using a black fine-tip Sharpie, I can add in extra details about photos in the margines.

Enjoy your day! :)

June Paper Posies projects

I realized that I hadn't shared my June Paper Posies projects with you. I love this month's kit that Michele put together!
These projects came together so easily for me. First up, a card:

Then a layout with my happy little guy:

And I made another Project Life spread. I think this may become a habit with my monthly kits.

Be sure to visit the Paper Posies DT gallery to see the amazing creations posted this month.

p.s. Did you notice the date yesterday? 6/6/12! What a fun birth date for any babies born :)

Project Life

Project Life A year-long project started by ultra-scrapper Becky Higgins.

A few weeks ago, Kimberly and I talked about having a Project Life post with the Hip 2-b Square kit each month. I had been working on Project Life since January--keeping up on the journaling, put not the layouts each week. My talk with Kimberly was just the push I needed to get things together.

I decided to just go with the current week, instead of trying to back-track.

The week title block uses the yellow grid pattern paper, along with the Jillibean Soup letter/number stickers and mini LilyBee alphas. I added a Studio Calico wood veneer with the grey dot pattern inside.
Some of my photos I printed two-up on wallet size prints. In addition to the Project Life journaling cards I ordered in December with the divided page protectors, I used the grey gingham paper, too, for one of my journaling places.
For continuity across the week spread, I used the yellow grid paper again, along with another wood veneer shape in one of the pockets. To help with specifics, I wrote in the photo margins with a thin sharpie pen. For fun little details, I added in the mini Jillibean shape (stars, hearts, tags) stickers here and there in the spread.
You'll be seeing more of these weekly spreads from me, in fact, I just finished last week's spread yesterday :)

Are you doing Project Life? I'd love to hear if you are or if you would like to but just haven't figured out how to get going with it.
