I love Mondays, don’t you?

There is just so much good on Monday!  Some people frown down on Monday, I look at it as a new to-do list, more fun to be had.

Oh, and “More In Store”..

See, good!

Just a couple of the new items for today over at Jessica Sprague:

First up, liv.eDesigns with her Needs + Wants: Eyelets Galore.

There are two sets of these babies, 24 different colors, four different sizes of each color.  These red guys are from set number 2.

Now for a confession:

I have SO many of these guys in real life.  I am talking drawers, keepers, and a bunch of packages in a big bowl of other goodies.  So the digi versions of these guys are perfect for me.

Another plus, no hammering!!

New developments.

Just trying to come up with a super-exciting post title, and I have nothing, really.

But I have been doing some fun stuff these past few days!

You have no idea how exciting it is for me to be playing with paper and my sewing machine again..  I’ve been in the mood to sew and I have been buying up fabric when it so strikes my fancy.

I even bought some traditional scrapbooking supplies today!

(Gasp!!)

No store in town (or on the far-lying outskirts) had what I wanted, so I had to order it, which means I have to wait to get it.

(Blah.)

Anyway, it will eventually be fun.

So on to some of the latest..

I had one of my famous blonde moments the other day.

I had a cute birthday gift all wrapped up cute like (to match the inside of the box, obviously) ready to give to my friend, and last minute, realized I had no card!!

So I got over the stupidity, got giddy, and had too much fun making a card.

card

I am however, kicking myself in the bum, repeatedly, for not taking a picture of her gift.  I was quite pleased with how it turned out..

(Kick, kick, kick.)

Then there’s my three “Whos”.

dr

Today was Dr. Suess’ birthday at the girls school.  Lynn’s class was having a read-a-thon in honor of the occasion.  They could bring treats, books, pillows, and blankets to school.  They were also encouraged to wear their pajamas.

So this crazy mom went to a local quilt shop, where I saw Michael Kaufman fabrics in Dr. Suess themes, to buy some up, and make some pajama pants for all three of my girls.

I spaced the shirts, which were brainstormed and visioned to be darling and witty.  But at 1:18 am, with no plain white tees…

I let that go.  That’s right, I said it..  my perfectionist self, let that go.

This weekend, spending most of it with a three year old in my lap who felt lousy most of the time, I decided to occupy my hands and make some rolled fabric rosettes.

 flowers

They really aren’t that hard, and these will match all of that delicious fabric that I made Peyton’s birthday skirt with.

(More to come on that fabric.  I bought more!!  No, I never ran out, really, but I love it so..  I dream about it.)

And then there’s today.

My dear mom, brought me some of my most favorite treats…

(And this pic isn’t necessarily here to brag to you, rub it in your face, if you will, just how awesome my mommy is, it was just that the light was so delicious in my craft room..)

Entirely too much fun is being had around here.

I have a banner in the works, not to mention all of my classes.

(Speaking of which, I’m really behind!)

But I guess that just means there will be more great stuff in store to share.

Getting my hands "dirty"..

It is so much fun doing digi..
But I do have a craving for the traditional!
I have been putting-off scrapping these pics, they are from a sweet moment in life that I miss just about everyday. I would be in heaven to be pregnant everyday!! Now Merrill, on the other hand, might not like that so much ;)It's hard too, to scrap them right now, because Peyton is the age Lynn (#1) was when I was pregnant with Ash (#2).. my body tells me I should be growing something right now :(
I kept working at these, thinking, "If I were doing these digi, they would be done already.." But hey, I am getting there!I love the new font!! I tracked down this font (I had American Crafts letter stickers in this font and I loved them sooo much..) it's Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge. Better yet, I found a website that was having a promo last week, 2 cartridges for $50.. so I have another cartridge to go get my hands dirty with!
I also did some Mother's Day cards. Love my butterfly punch.. another Internet hunt-down and find tool..Loving the pop-up dots too!

38 cards..

With the craft room re-do, came a lot of purging..
Most of the purging ended-up being paper that was categorized as card appropriate.
That is where the 38 cards come in.. that, and I finally found some cte butterfly punches!!
Layouts to come :)
My computer was on the fritz for a while.. glad to be back!!

1 down..

only 26 more to go :0..
yup.. after two months of my goal not met (or not even started.. for some reason..) i have 26 layouts to complete before month's end...
wish me luck?i loved the k.i memories overlay on this layout.. it was fun! took me a while (on and off for two days) to hand stitch it.. i didn't trust my sewing machine (or my skillz..)!!
i thought this card turned out cute..

February starts with a BANG!!

Had the Superbowl on today.. didn't watch so much.. well, didn't listen so much either..
Got two pages done today! Yes, they are the same.. one for me and one for her!
I also got 25 (county them!) cards done.. I believe in using all of my scraps (and people think I am crazy for it..) but when I finish a layout, I use the scraps right then, to make cards, unless I absolutely love the paper.. then I file it away and save it!
17- 2x2 cards
and
8- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards

You can see, they all look a little familiar..
Some of the 2x2 cards will be going into a card jar.. a give away you can look forward to soon!

One more snow layout...

Last snow layout.. well, for 2008 at least :)
I have decided to list my products used too... might make it easier later!
JAN 08: Papers: Bazzill, KI Memories, Love Elsie, Provo Craft; Rub ons: Basic Grey; circle punches; and I used the Cricut, "Street Sign" font.

Some people laugh at me because I use ALL of my scraps.. the partial circles are scraps from the right-hand side of the above layout.
For You: Papers: Bazzill, Provo Craft; Jewels: Me & My Big Ideas.
Baby Boy: Papers: Bazzill, Provo Craft; Rub ons: Making Memories; Jewels: Me & My Big Ideas.

Sit, Chat, and Finish THAT...

Today, we had an impromptu "Sit, Chat, and Finish THAT"... basically an afternoon of finishing projects with a bunch of friends, a variation of a "crafternoon". It all snowballed because of Brooke and her "foster child"... we are all using her sufficiently! Once others found out the whereabouts of her location today, they all converged here, eventually. The snow made for a fun, cold, chatty day.
I got my Christmas cards all done! After Peyton's ordeal was over, I finally felt in the mood to get these cranked out...
So, if you get one, be surprised, act like you've never seen it before... ;)
Christie was working on a few things... this darling tutu being one of them...
Peyton's not sad, just shedding a few tears of joy over how cute she is...
Ashley lived-up the part of being tutu model...
As did I...
Jaclyn suggested that we form our own type of "Red Hat Society", but, instead, wear tutus... I live the idea!
We made so many other things... many of which cannot be shown until post-Christmas wrapping thrashing...

Baby cards...

Baby girl cards to be more specific...
I got all of these done super fast! Thanks to a stash of scraps and ribbon, and the Cricut of course ;)...
