it’s template tuesday!!

i will openly admit that i suck at template tuesday.  i have a whole pile of them, stacked-up on my desktop, just waiting to be played with.

but i don’t suck so bad at it when it is actually my turn to make the template.

that’s right!  it’s my template there today. :)

(click on layout for full list of credits.)

template tuesday_mindypitcher_layout_pre

so head on over, download it, play (better than i do..), and share your creation in the template tuesday gallery.

hope to see your layout there!

7 days challenges.

so this week hasn’t exactly been the ideal week for me to sit and get everything i want to do, done.  that would be the life..

but i have managed to get a couple challenges tackled!

simply delightful copy

this one used a freebie created my linda of “in the making design”.  so sorry, if you didn’t grab it, you didn’t get it. :(

the frame is from liv.edesigns (here).

the stitching is from splendid fiins (here).

the font is “lobster” (here).

paper bits are a freebie (upcoming) that i need to tweak before i share…

(so watch out.)

this is love copy

i recently took pictures of ashley, to document her “student of the month” status (so proud of her!!) and this theme, “this is love”, was the perfect fit for just a couple of these pictures.

the paper is from kitschy digitals (here).

frame is also from kitschy digitals (here).

there’s that stitching again (here)…

the staple i extracted from the frame in the above layout (frame here).

the fonts used on this layout are: “pea carrie script” and “never let go”.

(i distressed those too, just a little, so they would look chalked and aged.)

i am hoping to get my craft/studio/sewing room all done (as far as paint goes) so life and programming can return to normal soon.

What is this?!

Really..

I thought this was extinct in my life.

Non-existent.

A traditional, paper goods, and glue, and scissors, and punches, layout.

   lynnie-rain_trad

There’s just something about touching all of these little, wonderful things..

february 067

Actually writing!

february 066

The physicality of it is just fun.

february 069

I’ve missed it for sure.

(I absolutely LOVE digital, don’t mistake me.)

But this feels good.

I had to make my craft room more of just that.  It has been more of a sewing room lately.

That, and looking at all the goods I have stashed away in there, I have to use them.  Have to.

(Although I think it’s safe to say, if there were a natural disaster of sorts, or another depression, I would be set with all things that are needed to craft.)

(It’s that bad people.)

(Or maybe good?)

A blast from the scrapbooking past.

scan0058
While sorting through ten years of scrapbooks and pictures, I came across this page I did when Lynn was just two.  I just love it so much!  I love to see how their special relationship has been firmly in place since she was small.
Such a sweet memory!
I am so thankful that I scrapbook..
Now I think I should catch up!

I've been busy...

Editing pictures and creating more digital pages, all to get my free Shutterlfy book...
Ahhh..
Then I realized they can count as layouts too!!!
All digital this time. :)
Let's count:

13!
But copies of them for all the albums I need take me to...  38.

What does that put me at..  um...  DONE!!!

Deja vu...

This happened back in 2006, when Lynn was nearly 4..
Talk about a flashback!

Ello!

I am in household project mode..
Again..
Peyton will soon have a "big girl" room.
Cribs are for the birds when it comes to children this age in our house.
While I am waiting for paint to dry, thought I could get one in!
I do have a post a-brewin' as far as digi scrappin', resources and fun stuff.. I have had a few e-mails with questions. :)
I used a template on this one from Chrissy W. at Elemental Scraps.
I also used a kit by the same artist..
The rest of the makings are from things I have collected, already.. because it is so totally addicting!! ;)

Catchin' up..

Here's one from a year ago..
I got inspiration from Becky Higgins' sketch in July's CK.
I happen to really like the outcome of this one.. I had to do a little tweaking on the last traditional paper one I did. I saw it again on my table and shuddered. It was an easy enough fix..
I am the only one who does that?

something quick..

After PTA-ing all day (fun friends make the difference between a long day and a fun day...) I put this together quickly.. the font, my new treat from dafont.com (thanks Brooke!!)I also did these for our mom's (a.k.a. Grandmas) for Mother's Day.. had to wait for it to be over to post them ;)Some of the grandchildren, you will see, are on both.. I can explain: my brother married his wife, who happens to be my husband's sister.. the kiddos are double cousins! Now how fun is that?!

Goal met.. for January at least..

A layout for each girl.. well, Lynn and Ash..
So I am 1/12 done.. maybe I'll figure out a percentage when I don't have such a rockin' headache..

Same 3 pics..

Same 3 pics.. same quote.. 3 different layouts..
I had a few good ideas (inspiration) I wanted to use, but not all on the same layout.. so I did three, one for the family album, one for Lynn's, and one for Ashley's.
Sooo much fun!!
Quote from February CK, a layout by Ria Mojica (page 97). Hers also features a pic of her girls holding hands.
This one was inspired by half of a layout by EKartch (my made-up nickname for Elizabeth Kartchner), love her stuff! The layout is also in the February CK (page 94).
Lastly, I hunted for a top note template for my journaling spot.. came away from Google tonight highly disappointed.. so I made one up! It's at the bottom of the post..
Patterned paper: Making Memories; Embossed paper: KI Memories, Love Elsie; solid papers: Bazzill, Die Cuts With a View. The swirl stamps are another latest fav by Autumn Leaves.
Watch for a Valentine's Day give away tomorrow!!

Layouts..

I have had these layouts sitting on my table, works in progress for the last few days. All that fogginess in my head made them come together slower that I like..
They are from last year's winter. I still have more, in progress!
This one is for Lynn's book:
And Ashley's book:
Supplies: Paper from Bazzill and the embossed snowflake paper is from KI memories Love Elsie line.. I made up the template for the background of the pics and used the Cricut "Cuttin' Up" (for the words "snow" and the girls' initials) and "Doodletype" for the snowflakes. I busted out the vellum, inspired by Jennifer McGuire from CK for that one! I am loving these new double dates stamps by Katie Pertiet from Autumn Leaves.. you should be seeing them a lot..
