Local news reports

Is a trailer park allowed to deny firearms to its residents? That doesn't sound right to me, especially in Neanderthal-country.

In any case, here's another in the never-ending parade of idiot gun owners who obviously should never have been allowed to own guns in the first place.

The answer is in my number 1 gun control law, which includes a may issue policy for gun ownership. Many of these genius gun owners would be denied right off the bat.

What's your opinion?  Please leave a comment.

  1. You know Mike, I had honestly hadn't noticed your wish for "may issue" gun ownership. I had only seen the overt wish for "may issue" carry permits.
Leaving the decision of being allowed to exercise a civil right up to a government entity is not a wise move. It opens the door for a dangerous widening of these government powers. Just because you aren't interested in this particular right doesn't make it any less dangerous. Eventually a right you do value will be affected.

    1. First of all it's not a civil right. It's nothing. When the balance of the Supreme Court changes, that'll become official.

Secondly, even if we do consider it a right, no right is unlimited. The desperate situation we have in the country with gun availability needs to be addressed. My idea of may issue gun purchasing licenses is one good way.

  2. Your bigotry is showing again. Neanderthal? They've been extinct for a long time. But this guy is accused of doing something exceedingly stupid and upon conviction, he should be put away for a long time. That's how we deal with situations like this, not by violating the rights of millions of good people who do nothing wrong.

It's private property, and the owner can pretty much do what he wants, including sticking a "no guns" clause into the contract for renting there--something I watch out for in every apartment lease I sign.
