Blog Hop for Miss Kate Cuttables and Scrappy Moms Stamps
Hello everyone! I'm so excited to be a part of this week's amazing blog hop with Miss Kate Cuttables and Scrappy Moms Stamps. There have been so many adorable projects to see from all the designers. Best of all, you can win some great prizes! Read on to find out how to enter.
For my project today, I created a scrapbook layout:
I used the Little Critters stamp set from Scrappy Moms Stamps:
![]() | ![]() |
At first glance, it might be hard to figure out where I used the stamps. :) Since my stamp set was all of these adorable sentiments, I decided to use them to create my own custom patterned paper. It's a great way to use your stamps to create something unique. Here's how:
1. Choose your stamping ink colors to coordinate with the other papers and embellishments you are planning to use.
2. Start stamping with one stamp in just one color, keeping the orientation the same over the paper (I cropped my paper to 7x12 so I would have a smaller canvas to work with).
3. Stamp with the next stamp in the next color, turning the orientation to be perpendicular to the first. Be sure to stamp off the sides of the paper too. It doesn't have to be perfect, so don't stress about this at all. It should be fun!
4. Fill your page, staying with a single color for each stamp to create consistency. Fill in gaps with a small generic stamp (like I did with the star stamps).
That's it -- you now have a custom piece of patterned paper to use on your layout or project.
I just love it! The colors coordinate perfectly with my other papers and the Miss Kate Cuttables paper piecings I created for the layout.
So fun!
And now for the prizes! :) To enter the giveaway, be sure to follow my blog and leave a comment below. Then head over to the Miss Kate Cuttables blog and Scrappy Mom Stamps blog to leave comments on all the other designer blogs as well. You can win some amazing prizes from Miss Kate Cuttables and Scrappy Moms! At the end of the blog hop, be sure to email TheScrapbookingQueen1@gmail.com for your free file code.
Good luck -- and stay crafty!
Lissa :)

Tropical Bliss for Miss Kate Cuttables -- Plus a Product Review
Hello everyone! I have a new project up today at Miss Kate Cuttables -- it's a fun, beachy, girly layout, and I just love it. Here's a sneak peek:
In addition to sharing the project itself, I wanted to do a little product review. About a month ago, I was sent a package of glue products from Beacon Adhesives. It was a great assortment for all kinds of crafting projects:
So fun! For my layout today, I used the Zip Dry Paper Glue and the 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue to see how they would work with the delicate cut files from Miss Kate Cuttables.
In a word -- perfect! The Zip Dry Paper Glue is a clear liquid that applies easily and lets you move and line up your layers. It does dry quickly, but not so quick that you can't make adjustments if you need to. It does tend to dry out in the bottle tip, so I kept a stick pin stuck in the top as I was working to keep it clear. And since it's a liquid glue, it works great for the very small, delicate pieces you can cut with your electronic die cutter.
I used the 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue to adhere the Royal Jewels on all of my flowers. Again, it worked perfectly. It was very easy to make a precise little glue dot and then layer on the Jewels. After drying, the Jewels are still stuck on very well.
Thank you to Beacon Adhesives for letting me try out their wonderful line of glue products. I can't wait to create more fun with their adhesives soon.
And now, you'll have to head over to the Miss Kate Cuttables blog to see my layout. Let me know what you think!
Until next time -- stay crafty,
Lissa :)

Blog Hop with Miss Kate Cuttables, Out on a Limb Scrapbooking, and Xyron
Hello everyone! There's lots of fun going on this week during our blog hop with Miss Kate Cuttables, Out on a Limb Scrapbooking, and Xyron. I'm here today to share my project with you all.
For our blog hop, there are awesome giveaways up for grabs from both Miss Kate and Xyron. Don't miss out! See the end of this blog post for more details...
Did you know Out on a Limb Scrapbooking is a sister company to Miss Kate Cuttables? In fact, if you love the Miss Kate Cuttables cut files, you can find the same adorable designs at the Out on a Limb Scrapbooking store, all cut and kitted up into page kits!
We were each given a layout kit from Out on a Limb to work with -- and they are all so adorable! I had the Fun at the Circus kit to work with. Here's the layout I created:
I love it! I started with the adorable pre-cut page kit pieces and put everything together, using my Xyron glue stick and 3" sticker maker.
It was so easy to run the pre-cut pieces from the page kit through the 3" sticker maker, then layer the pieces together.
![]() |
I inked everything with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap. I then used my Kiwi Lane templates to cut and trace my background pieces:
- Clara Lane 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B
- Strips 1/2", 1"
Love!! Here are a few close-ups:
I love how it turned out! Thank you Out on a Limb Scrapbooking and Xyron!! You can really do so much with these page kits from Out on a Limb Scrapbooking and adhesives from Xyron -- go check out all the options and pick out something fun that you would like to play with.
To enter the giveaways this week for the blog hop, be sure to follow my blog and then comment on my post here today -- then head over to the Miss Kate Cuttables blog to see the rest of the projects and enter the giveaway!
Until next time...
Stay crafty!
