One more Vic Viper
Wondering what to do with those skis from the Series 2 collectible minifigure skier? Mainman used them to build this sleek Vic Viper. In the caption, he offers a few hints about the building techniques he used. Apparently, this piece plays an important part.
Here it is paired with a nano VV.

Spend, spend, spend
In the U.S., the weekend after Thanksgiving is considered the start of the Christmas shopping season. Many stores offer steep discounts to entice shoppers. LEGO retail stores offered discount scratch cards on Friday. I used my 10 percent off coupon to buy set 10197, the Fire Brigade
Could have saved even more if I had just bought the parts for this micro version, created by Alex Eylar.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I looked for a Thanksgiving micro-MOC, but to no avail. Instead, feast your eyes on Unhalfbricking's micropolis building.

Olympus
The Home of the Gods, perched atop Mt. Olympus, as created by Auric.
I'm one of those builders who starts by putting pieces together, but I admire those who plan out their work. Auric started with some concept sketches, which he includes in his photoset. Be sure to check them out.

microscale modeling
Here's a micro castle that Jeff VW made as a planning model for a minifig-scale castle. So far, only half of the big castle has been completed.

Mini-Eames
Stacy Sterling made a microscale version of the Eames House. Previously, she made a minifig-scale version. Here's a side-by-side comparison.
Update: Full photoset of the minifig scale Eames House is here. Nice detailing on the interior.

I'm dreaming of a micro Christmas
Nannan has made a number of great Christmas ornaments. I'm hoping that over the next month he'll come up with a whole tree's worth of these.

Space Cruiser
Wow, this takes me back. When I was a kid, I was so excited to get Space Cruiser (487 in the US, 924 in other countries). Chris Deck has created a micro version.

Clone Turbo Tank
Masked Builder posted photos of set 20006, Clone Turbo Tank, presumably for a set review, but I can't find his review. Anyway, this was an exclusive set for BrickMaster subscribers back in 2008.

Skyline
Chris Doyle made great use of forced perspective for his DENIZENS webcomic.
I also like this side-on shot to show how it was done:

Puerta de Europa
Peter previously blogged about the Euromap display, in which five builders constructed a huge (fifteen square meters) LEGO map of Europe and twenty different people contributed forty-four microscale versions of famous European landmarks. All of the different MOCs are outstanding, so they certainly merit another look. Here is Carlos Mendez Potes' rendition of the Puerta de Europa in Madrid.
Maikuro Vic Viper
It's Novvember, and that means it's time for Vic Vipers.
Fredoichi has been adding to his collection. Here's his latest, the Maikuro VV.

Tossed salad and scrambled eggs
While looking around for other images of the Architecture sets a couple of days ago, I notice that BruceWayneLego made this Frasier MOC.
I have to say, I don't think I ever expected a MOC based on Frasier.

Live, from Rockefeller Center
It looks like the next set in the Architecture series will be 21007, Rockefeller Center.
No details yet on Lego.com - the first sets (the John Hancock Center, the Empire State Building and the Space Needle) were called the "Landmark Series" and the next ones (Fallingwater and the Guggenheim) were called the "Architect Series". Next up is supposed to be the "Discovery Series". Oddly, the Sears Tower set has disappeared from the Lego.com site, but is still there on Adam's BrickStructures page.
Edit - The Brothers-Brick came up with a better picture. Set designer Adam Reed Tucker is donating a signed copy of the set to Creations for Charity, a great charity where you can buy MOCs by some of your favorite builder and all of the proceeds go to kids. Apparently set 21007, Rockefeller Center, is going to be released in early 2011.
