These are a pair of Vans aircraft. Vans airplanes are kit aircraft. Both of these are Vans RV-6 and RV-7. The kits are produced in Oregon and the planes are built wherever. Both of these were built in Canada. I was going to go catch the Oberstar on the Rouge River but she stopped for a train. I wasn't sure if she was stopping for the train or docking, so I decided to head over to Belle Isle to catch another ship. It's one I haven't seen in a while.
As I was waiting for the next boat, this guy flew over.
