Creative Team Competition

Wednesday, March 5, 2008

The link has expired, and I'm not taking any more submissions.
Winners will be announced on March 20th!

Later than I'd planned it (as usual, I'm hopeless with deadlines unless I have someone breathing down my neck) here is my Creative Team Competition!

The text reads:

Would you like to be a part of my CT? Or maybe just a guest spot?
Here’s what you have to do:
- Download Somewhere Else: the mini kit @ http://mglscraps.blogspot.com
- Links will only be available until Monday, March 10th, so hurry!
- Create a layout using primarily Somewhere Else: the mini kit
- E-mail your layout (or a link to it) to me at jesters (dot) tear (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk no later than March 15th, tell me a little about yourself, what other CTs (if any) you are on and send me a link to your most complete gallery. Let me know if you’re applying for a permanent or a guest position.

I’ll be announcing the winners on the blog, @ DST and @ Scraphead on March 20th.
All candidates will receive a response!

Requirements:
- 2 Layouts per kit
- Post your LOs to the galleries at DST, Scraphead and two others
- Wear my CT blinkie
- Join our CT forum
- Help promote my products when appropriate

Indispensable:
- A healthy dose of insanity!

Swirl Pools!

Wednesday, February 27, 2008

Hi everyone!

I have been working on a few new things and my latest pet project, Swirl Pools, is already in the store. It's basically two swirl packs in 5 different colours each, with 6 swirl designs, and then for each you have one clear plastic, one glitter overlay, and one complete puffy plastic glitter one. You can then mix and match them to your heart's content, and get a ton of different looks out of them. Can you tell by my babbling that I'm really really proud? LOL!

So, what do you think? Images are linked to the store:

Or you can get both of them in one go and save!

Meanwile the sweet, lovely and ever so talented Amanda Kay made a fan blinkie for me! Isn't it so pretty? I swear, Amanda makes the best blinkies out there! You can snag it if you'd like!

Last but not least, I am hoping to get everything ready in time to announce my CT competition tomorrow or the day after that tops ("hoping" being the operative word here), so be sure to drop by the blog if you want to participate, or even if you just want to snag the freebie and run! ;)

Catch you then!

And the winners are...

Saturday, February 2, 2008

So I went and enlisted the aid of my soon-to-be-10-year-old, Apolo, to draw the 10 winning names out of a hat - literally a hat, I love hats! - thinking he'd find it fun. Er, right. He drew 5 names, then ran off to play Halo! I had to call upon the hubby to draw the remaining 5, lol!

Aaaanyway, here are the 10 winners:

...Drumroll please...

Thank you all for entering, this was fun! I don't want anyone to leave empty-handed, though, so everyone who participated and didn't win, drop me an e-mail as well and I'll send a little something your way! ;)

Colour Your World competition closing tomorrow!

Friday, February 1, 2008

Hi guys, just a speedy post today to let you know I'll be closing the Colour Your World competition tomorrow so, if you're considering entering, don't consider, just enter! ;)

Now I have to run, I'm busy designing a freebie! ;)

Colour Your World Competition!

Friday, January 25, 2008

Hi people!

I've been awfully silent lately, but I intend to make up for it today with a mega competition! We'll get to that in a minute but, first, let me show you my brand spanking new collection, Dreams in Colour. It will be in the store later this week, and I had a blast making it!

Each kit will be available both as separate paper and embelishment packs (as shown above) and as full kits. They will also be available in a single purchase as the Complete Collection. If you choose that, not only do you get to pay less (obviously!), but you also get this exclusive bonus, not available anywhere else:

Now for the competition: 10 people will win the "Dreams in Colour" Kit of their choice. Erm, yeah, that means if only 10 of you sign up, you're guaranteed to win, lol!
Then, there is a grand prize: one lucky person will win the entire Dreams in Colour collection, meaning all 10 Kits plus the special bonus. Remember, you can only get this bonus when you buy (or, in this case, win) the entire Collection.

What do you need to do to win these? It's quite simple, actually: I have just enabled newsletter capability on my blog. Do you see that little box on your left, the one under "Subscribe mgl Scraps"? Well, that's what you need to do to win one of the 10 DiC kits, just subscribe to the feed and then leave me a comment letting me know that you subscribed, what your favourite colour is and how it inspires you to scrap.
I have the feed set up to only mail out when I post something labelled "announcement", "competition", "freebie" or "new products", so don't worry about having my LOs delivered to your inbox!

To enter in the grand prize competition, you need to blog about it! Yup, it's as simple as that, make a post, let everyone know about your favourite colour, and then link people here to mgl Scraps, so that they can enter as well! No blog or site to post from? You can post in forums then, but only if the forum rules allow it, and only in the appropriate place. Please don't go off spamming people on my behalf, lol!

After you have linked here, you need to get the link to me, either by leaving me a comment here or by e-mailing me at jesters (DOT) tear (AT) yahoo (DOT) co (DOT) uk with your name and link.
I'll keep tabs on who is coming from where through StatCounter and, by the time the products hit the store, the person who sent the most people over here will have won the grand prize.

I shamelessly lifted the notion of the "subscribe my newsletter and blog about me" competition from the lovely Kylie Banks over at Phaunt Actions. Go pay her a visit, she has a new forum up and running, and it's just a wealth of knowledge waiting to be discovered!

Do you love Photoshop?

Sunday, December 30, 2007

Actions? Presets? Brushes? Freebies every Friday and some of the best Photoshop tutorials out there? Then you need to go and visit Phaunt Actions right now!

To top it all, she's running a contest at the moment, don't miss it!
