Product Wednesday: Introducing...

It's time to welcome back Danielle Hunter!

Danielle has been a MemoryWorks Consultant since 2007 and joined TeamWorks at the start of this year. She is the mother of two daughters, ages 8 and 3, and considers them her favorite scrapbooking subjects.

Over the past several months, Danielle has focused on her new blog, EcoScrapbook, with hopes to educate scrapbookers on alternative ways to document memories.

You can read more about Danielle and see a few of her past projects here.

Hello fellow MemoryWorks readers! Hope all of you had a fantastic summer! I know it's not officially over until later this month, but with the start of school and cooler weather, fall creeps closer every day.

I'm so happy to be back on the blog and will be sharing my most recent project with you. It's a work in progress, but I'm dedicating it to my daughters. Below are a few clues...

Are you ready?

It will be fabulous...

and I'll be sharing during the month of September.

This special something I've been using has been getting "mad props" all year long.

I think that this pen + glue combo is the neatest tool invented:

Can't stand the suspense? Are you done with my list of clues?

Okay. Any guesses?

How about some...

Yep! I'm talking about K&Company's Smash Collection! But you'll have to wait until next Wednesday for more smashy goodness.

Inspiration Friday - Jillibean Soup: Chilled Strawberry Soup

Hi, my name is Sheri Feypel. I started scrapbooking about 6 years ago and joined MemoryWorks a few years later. My scrapbooking style is not defined, it’s sort of go with the flow-ish. Sometimes I like to “junk it up” with lots of embellishments and other time’s I like to keep it “clean.” It all depends on my mood. My boys are the main subject of most of my scrapping, sometimes my husband or the dog grace a page. Besides for my MemoryWorks business, I am also an instructor at my local scrapbook store where I teach card making and layout classes. I am also the co-host of large crops with a friend. We hold day and weekend crops throughout the year. I also enjoy taking photos and exploring all that my camera can do. Those are some of the things that I do in my spare time; I also hold a full time job outside of my home.

Today I want to share a quick card in honor of Mother's Day....

Wishing you the sweetest day ever....

This card was quick and easy to create, I used some of the new Jillibean Soup products from the new Memory Works catalog.....

Jillibean Soup: Cardstock Stickers- Chilled Strawberry

Jillibean Soup: Kraft Theme Set- Chilled Strawberry

 .

Thanks for stopping by today!  Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mom's out there!!

Product Showcase - Introducing Jade Wilson

Jade Wilson resides in Knoxville, Tennessee and has been scrapbooking for 15 years and crafting for over 20. She has been a consultant for MemoryWorks since 2010 and 2011 marks her first year as a member of TeamWorks. Scrapbooking and paper crafting are a means of artistic expression, life documentation and a business for Jade. Believing that each photo and story has its own style, you will always see a variety of styles and techniques in Jade’s work. When she is not busy with life as a stay at home mom to an “always-on-the-go” two year old, Jade enjoys old movies (especially anything with Audrey Hepburn), reading and working with her favorite MemoryWorks products like Distress Inks, stamps and anything from My Mind’s Eye, Cosmo Cricket, Fancy Pants or Pink Paislee.

It is such a tremendous honor to join the TeamWorks team for 2011! I’m excited to share ideas and projects with you, so let’s get started!

Recently, I created this 3 Drawer Mini Organizer and Mini Cards (the drawers are perfect for brads, flowers or even chocolate) using paper and brads from the Crate Paper School Spirit Theme Set.

I also created this 12x12 layout of my husband and daughter using the Fancy Pants Lilac House Theme Set.

I hope you enjoyed checking out these projects I created. I have so many more ideas to share with you so I hope you will plan on joining me for even more creative projects and ideas!

Inspiration Friday - Introducing Sarah Crawford

Sarah Crawford, TeamWorks Creative Team Member, will be providing some inspiration here on the MemoryWorks blog on Fridays in February. Let's get to know her and her creative style!

Sarah Crawford has been a scrap-addict for 13 years...though if you consider she was an avid sticker-collector as a child (gotta love those magnetic albums full of Mrs. Grossman stickers!), she's really been paper-craft-infatuated her entire life. Sarah has attended three Creating Keepsake University events, and participated and volunteered at numerous Scrapbook Expo's in Northern California. Her projects have been featured on the Creative Imaginations and (later this month) on the Fancy Pants Designs blog. In October of 2006, she joined the MemoryWorks family as an independent consultant. This is her third year as a member of the MemoryWorks Teamworks creative team. She's also an employee and design team member for the Green Tangerines store and monthly kit club in Rocklin, CA. Before staying at home with her three children, Sarah worked as a corporate trainer teaching career development and human resources courses in two financial companies. She earned a BA in Communications and an MS in Organization Development/HR. Sarah lives in the foothills of Northern California with her husband and three children, a boy and two girls, enjoying the "country" life.

Sarah is so excited to be part of the 2011 TeamWorks Creative team! Here's what she says:
"I love MemoryWorks and the products we carry. Here's a little sneak peek of my style. And, some projects I'll be sharing in the month ahead... Watch on the Memory-Works website inspiration page and here on the blog for more..."

I created this Valentine and February "Love Notes" countdown mini-album using the Pink Paislee Sweetness line. One of my favorite Valentine's paper lines of all time!
I created this single page 12x12 layout to capture my son's "Fans" at his baseball game using the Crate Paper School Spirit line, Tim Holtz journaling and adage tickets, and American Crafts Thickers. Some of my favorite products in the current catalog!

I created this double page 12x12 layout "Virginia City" using the Cosmo Cricket Wanted line. I love the 6x6 paper pads we carry for adding patterned papers to layouts, mini-albums, and cards. An inexpensive way to get a lot of different patterns!

Thanks for looking!

December Guest Designer - Elena Bedner

I'm excited to announce the December Guest Designer, former TeamWorks member Elena Bedner. We are thrilled to have her back this month designing for the team again! Check out her amazing projects below! Welcome to the team this month Elena! - Lacey Igo (TW Leader)

ELENA BEDNER
I’m a military wife and Mom to two boys. I’ve been married to my wonderful (and supportive!) husband for 10 years. My layouts tend to be about my boys, but lately I have really loved making home décor projects. I have been a scrapbooker for around 8 years, and a paper crafter much longer than that. I discovered MemoryWorks in 2003 and have loved being part of this amazing company. My activity level varies with what is going on in my life – one of the reasons this company is such a great fit! Right now I am more of a hobbyist as I started a new job this year as a training instructor and it involves a bit of travel. My style tends to evolve depending on my mood, but I always come back to vintage/old world styles. I ink the edges of everything! I also really love using my craft knife and scissors to highlight detail work on a great piece of patterned paper. Christmas is my favorite time of year. Between the baking, the craft/gift projects, and keeping up with the boys I stay really busy!

First off I want to show you this super cute layout she made!!

Love these cards she created!

And how about these TREES!

Leave Elena some love about her projects!! You will definitely see a lot more from this fantastic designer later in the month! Welcome to the team this month Elena!!

Simple Stories... What do I do with it?

You have ordered or are thinking of ordering Simple Stories Life Documented kit; but as you look at it over and over again you think to yourself, "What do I do with it?" or "What will it look like once I'm finished, how will it all come together?" I am going to show you some wonderful finished pages using the Simple Stories Life Documented kit. There are so many ways to use this wonderful kit and hopefully this will give you some ideas on what you can do with it for your own albums! *All pages are courtesy of Lacey Igo - TeamWorks Team Leader and MemoryWorks Consultant*

This is the title page as you can see you can add any embellishment you want.

These are some additional pages from Lacey's Album.

You can add more pictures or less. The divided page protectors make it easy to divide your paper, embellishment and your pictures on each page. It also allows you to make each page unique.

I hope that these layout pictures have given you some idea on how you can use the Simple Stories Life Documented kit to create your own album. If you have any questions about the kit or any of MemoryWorks products please feel free to contact your consultant and if you don't have one, check out Find a Consultant on our website. Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a scraptacular day!!
