Mixed Media Spooky Halloween Tag

Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "HALLOWEEN/ SPOOKY". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Distress HALLOWEEN MICA STAIN SET 3 Ranger on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps MONSTROUS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book.

I started this project with applying Tim Holtz Distress HALLOWEEN MICA STAIN SET 3 Ranger on the background of the size 8 tag. I distressed the tag using the black ink pad and blending tools, then outlined the tag using a black pen. The Halloween embellishments from Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book and Tim Holtz Idea-ology HALLOWEEN Ephemera, and the window frame were layered and attached on the tag. 

On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the Halloween skull image using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps MONSTROUS and the black ink pad, then watercolored it with Zig Clean Color 30 COLOR SET A 

Real Brush. The image was cut and adhered on the tag using double sided tapes. I added some metal embellishments to finish off this spooky Halloween tag. Hope you like it and get a chance to join us this week. Happy crafting!

Mixed Media Tag Halloween Tag Stitch It

Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "STITCH IT". As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from AALL & CREATE. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used. This week we are welcoming the lovely Lori E Kennedy aka cr8tive_lori on instagram, into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using AALL & Create BASIC VEGGIES A4 Clear Stamp Set on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book and Tim Holtz Idea-ology HALLOWEEN Ephemera. To start this project, I stamped the pumpkin image on the size 8 tag that I cut with the watercolor paper. The background of the tag was colored with watercolors, and distressed with blending tools and Distress Ink Pad. I added the stitches around the edges of the tag using a sawing machine. 

On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped, colored and cut the same pumpkin image, then pasted it on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue. 

The tag was added many sentiments using Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book. I attached some more Halloween embellishments on the tag with Tim Holtz Idea-ology HALLOWEEN Ephemera to finish off this stitched Halloween tag. Christmas Tree Tag

Hello, my dear crafty friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "TREES". I was inspired to create a Christmas tag using Stamperia Classic Christmas 6X6 Paper and added a vintage station wagon using Simon Says Stamp Vintage Christmas Station Wagon Wafer Dies Peace On Earth.

I started this project with trimming the paper from Stamperia Classic Christmas Paper and pasted it on the thick board to make the big tag. The tag was distressed with a blending tool and Distress Ink Pads then outlined with a black pen. 

On the watercolor paper I die cut the station wagon and tree image and colored it with watercolors. The image was distressed with a blending tool and ink pads. I outlined the image with a black pen, then pasted it on the tag with double sided tapes. Some more Christmas sentiments were cut out from the same Stamperia Classic Christmas Paper collection and adhered on the tag with double sided tapes. To finish off this project, I randomly splattered some Gesso and water mixture to create the snow effect.

Mixed Media Tag AALL & Create Birthday Celebration

Hello, my talented crafty friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge we are challenging you to join us for our 11th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!  Can you believe that this challenge has been going for 11 years!! As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company - AALL & Create. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used. 

As it is a special celebration the lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously increased the prize to a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store. This week we are welcoming the back the lovely Anne Redfern aka Redanne into the Designer Spotlight. I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using AALL & Veggies A4 Clear Stamp on the tag, and decorated the image with Ranger Mini Glossy Accents Glue Adhesive and added sentiments with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Sentiment Label Stickers.

To start this project, I trimmed the paper from Tim Holtz Backdrop Paper and pasted it on the size 8 tag. The tag was distressed with a distress tool then using a blending tool and Distress Ink Pads I also used a black pen to outline the edges of the tag. 

I stamped the image on the tag using the clear stamp from AALL & Create Veggies Clear Stamps and the black ink pad. The image was colored using watercolors and a brush. I added a layer of Glossy Accents on the image to create the glossy effect on the veggie. I attached the metal clip and a token that were colored with Distress Paints on the tag. To finish off this project, I adhered two birthday label stickers on the tag.
