Vintage Wallpaper.... Love At First Sight....

Hi! Steph here to tell you about my new favorite image.... sigh .... I love this stamp... if you don't like damask (is there anyone out there?) then don't come here! LOL! The february new release stamps are available now over at Market Street Stamps and this is by far my new favorite- it's called Vintage Wallpaper. A large A2 size background stamp that you can ink up and stamp a whole card front in one quick stamp. Beautiful.

Here's a card I made with one of my favorite color combos: Kraft, Chocolate Brown, and a pop of color (in this case Harvest Gold).

Oh I love it so much.... I used my other favorite background stamp, Bit of Burlap to accent the sentiment which is from the set Celebrate Cake. I hope you love this stamp as much as I do!

And... it's your lucky day because Vintage Wallpaper (as well as the rest of the February releases) are 10% off in the store until March 4th!

Have a beautiful day!

Blast Off!

This new Blast Off set just begs to be played with, doesn't it?

As soon as I got it in my mailbox I had to ink it up and this is what I came up with:

I've recently started using Copic markers to color my stamped images, but for this card I used 3 various chalk ink pads and just swiped them across my stamped image to get the coloring I wanted.

This card only uses the Blast Off set, but I also think this set would be great paired up with one of the great background stamps that Market Street Stamps has to offer.

And it would even be fantastic on a card or even a layout paired with these adorable robots, don't you think?

I'd love it if you'd stop by my blog and let me know what you think of today's card.

Have a great day!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill, Georgia Pacific
Stamps: Market Street Stamps {Blast Off}
Ink: Memento, Colorbox, Tsukineko
Twine: The Twinery {Charcoal, Honeydew}

February Release - Sneak Peek 2: Blast Off and another chance to win!

Welcome to Day 2 of our February Sneak Peeks! Tonight we are showcasing "Blast Off" which was a stamp set that was created for my own selfish reasons. This is why...

A few weeks ago, I was challenged to make a project using the stars, moon and sky as a theme. One of the most rewarding and exciting things about being a manufacturer for my own hobby is that I can design stamps from a stamper's perspective. When I first drew this fun little rocket ship for my card, it was much too big, so in one night, I was able to shrink it down and trace over with my Copic Multi-liners and color for a complete image. After several requests via email and my blog, I went ahead and decided to release it this month for our February release. And you won't believe the gorgeous designs our team is peeking tonight.

In case you missed yesterday's post, you'll want to head back and check out "Vintage Wallpaper" and read up on how you could win a set from this release, just by leaving a comment on this week's posts!

"Blast Off" is about 4" x 4.5", and packed with sentiments and coordinating images to create the perfect "out of this world" invitations, cards, embellishments and favors. Check out how our Samantha, Tracy, and Stephanie used it to create truly spectacular inspiration for you today!

Stephanie

Aren't they great?? Don't forget to leave a comment on this post for a chance to win this rockin' set! Winners will be notified on Saturday. See you again tomorrow for the final peek before our reveal on Thursday! Yippee!

February Release - Sneak Peek 1 : Vintage Wallpaper and a Chance to Win!

Hi guys! Can you believe it's already time for our February Release? I feel like we've been hanging on to these images FOREVER!  I'm so excited to finally show you what our Design Team has been working on.

Here's how our release week will work - each day (starting today) the Design Team will be showcasing each new set with a card. When you leave a comment on that days' post, you will be entered to win the set that's being showcased. Easy, right?

Thursday, we'll be revealing all the sets and the stamps will be available for purchase at midnight (so Friday at 12:01 a.m. the sets will be activated in our store for purchase). I'll draw all the winners Friday and announce on Saturday. This gives you plenty of time to get in on the "just released" savings too!

Each new release will be 10% off
Friday, February 25th through Friday, March 4th!

So, without further ado, tonight's peeks are of my new favorite Market Street Stamp - Vintage Wallpaper. This background stamp is generously sized at 4.25 x 5.5" which means it stamps an A2 card with complete coverage. You don't even need a big expensive block for these, either! Check out Steph's tutorial on stamping our large backgrounds right from the acetate sheet.
Our amazing designers Tifany, Samantha, and Nicole have all created projects for tonight's sneak peek. Click each of their names to head over to their blogs & leave a little love - they truly WOW me with each new design they send over!

And here they are...

Get Whale Soon

It is time again to show another card I have made using Market Street Stamps! I decided to create a card that would bring a smile to someones face who is not feeling well. I believe that smiles and laughter really can make a person feel better! For this card I used, Hearts a Plenty, Enjoy Today, and Ocean Fun.

Enjoy Today Treat Bag

Admittedly, I waited until the last minute for Valentine's Day gifts this year. It's justified, there's so much going on!

I gifted some small Valentine's Day toys to my friend's son in this Treat Bag Cover, the SCS tutorial is here. I did have to modify it a touch to accommodate my cello bag size, but it was no trouble to do.

I stamped Perfectly Pretty Grid onto stone cardstock using Brilliance Graphite Black ink, super black, love it! Next, I punch a heart from the same color and used Brilliance Rocket Red to stamp A Bit of Burlap for more interest and texture. The sentiment from Enjoy Today was stamped on a die cut and adhered with pop dots and decorated with a button tied with twine.

I didn't want anything too girly since it's for a boy, I think this is masculine enough to pass even with ribbon and bows. It probably won't matter once he sees what's inside anyway! LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

You Warm Me Up

Hi everyone! Samantha Star here!
I created a fun little card and I wanted to share it with you! Here is what you'll need: Here Comes the Sun and BFFs as well as Distress Ink, gold pigment ink, a bright colored embossing powder, and some cardstock

First off, with a sponge cover an area of your cardstock that is about the size of the "Here Comes the Sun" stamp and Wild Honey Distress Ink. Make it blotchy and patchy, we're not looking for even color.

Ink up your "Here comes the Sun" stamp with gold pigment ink and stamp onto your blotchy cardstock :)

Sprinkle with a bright colored embossing powder and heat. Do not put on an even coating of powder, you want to still be able to see the gold ink. Heat with a heat gun.

Stamp a sentiment into the center of the sun, trim around your stamped image and glue onto your card!

Non-traditional Hearts

I don't know about you, but I can't seem to put this amazing new background stamp- Hearts a Plenty- down these days! I keep wanting to reach for it on all of my projects. So please excuse yet another card from me featuring it.

I decided to use it with some non-traditional colors to mix things up a bit. My card base is charcoal gray and I paired it with a spring green color. I stamped the hearts background on white cardstock in Versamagic Sage ink.

My white panels are about 1 and 1/4" wide by 3" tall with a 1/8" green border around them, just to give you some perspective. The entire panel was popped up on dimensionals.

To finish everything off I added a big, bold fabric flower and a pair of silver pearls in the upper left corner. I used my Copic Spica clear glitter pen to color in random hearts for a bit of sparkle, too. Because, like this background stamp, I can't put my spica pens down, either! {wink}

Celebrate Cake

Hi, there! Stephanie here! Today, I'm going to show you a card I made with the new Market Street Stamps Celebrate Cake and So Happy! These sets are now available over at the MSS store and are soooo much fun!

Here's the card:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the circle image from So Happy! I used it to create a background on kraft cardsock with white and silver ink.

I paper pieced the cake with Making Memories Black Tie paper and added rhinestones around the base of each cake layer!

Of course... I couldn't help but add a satin bow! I think it gives the card a very elegant feel! This card would be perfect for either a special birthday or a wedding!

Enjoy

Hi there Market Street Stamps fans!

My name is Tina and I am thrilled beyond words to be the Market Street Stamps February Guest Designer! The stamps are so fun to work with and the designs are so fresh.

I've been stamping for about three years, it all started by being invited to a home party. Needless to say, like many of you, stamping has become an important hobby to me. I enjoy the creative aspect of this craft and the outlet is a necessary one for me.

You can find more of my work at my blog, Wooded Views.

For this card, I used A Bit of Burlap and Enjoy Today. I am a huge fan of background stamps; and if they are sized to cover a standard card size, it's all the better.

I stamped the Bit of Burlap background with Brilliance Graphite Black ink and then matted it with black cardstock. Once the polka dot paper and the scallop matting was adhered, I wrapped some beautiful ribbon around the panel. I used Bow Easy to make the fluffy bow and adhered that to the ribbon strip with a glue dot.

The cup from Enjoy Today was stamped with Tsukineko Memento ink and then colored with copic markers. How delish is that cup and look at the sweet little hearts on the tea bag....too cute!

The last touch was die cutting the image; as you can see, I only used a portion of the image. Once it was matted, I just added some little black pearls.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Tonal Love

Hey there! It's Tracy back with another card featuring Market Street Stamps. This one is perfect for Valentine's Day or really any time you want to say "I love you" to that special someone.

I was inspired by fellow DT member Stephanie who made this adorable card for the blog hop.

My layout comes from Clean & Simple Stamping's Fall-to Layout #125. I used shades of pink cardstock for the focal piece. Then stamped the newly released Hearts a Plenty background onto that with Versamark ink.

I mounted the focal panel up on dimensionals to really make it pop. Then underneath it I stamped the love portion of the sentiment from Joyful Snowman repeatedly across the bottom in Palette Charcoal ink.

To finish my card off, I took my Copic Spica clear glitter pen and colored in some random hearts to add some sparkle and shimmer.

I hope you like it!

Thank you so much! Card

Love is in the air! Can you feel it? I love Valentines season, there is so much pink and red in all of the stores and people get so crafty with making handmade cards, flowers, cookie and such. You can almost taste Spring in the air, hoping that it comes early this year. Can you hear the little chirps in the background?
Yeah, me neither. I live in the frigidly cold upper Midwest where we are barely to spring before the official Summer is supposed to start. ;)
This card has to be one of my favorites lately. Even though I have two girls, I am not a huge lover of pink except at this time of year. GASP!!! I know, right? So, I thought just little pieces of it would work perfectly.
For the background I used the Hearts A Plenty stamp, and then used the So Happy set for the flower and sentiment.
You might have noticed, or maybe not, but I use craft paper, a lot. I also have had the obsession with canvas and pins. But, we can talk about those issues at a later date. I also sewed around the edge of the card. I don't usually sew on paper, because, well, I am lazy. I hate to drag out the sewing machine just to do a little card. Well, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. Especially when there is an idea floating around in our heads.
Well, I have been uncharacteristically chatty today, so I will now leave you with the pics. Hope you enjoy!!

Fishy Kisses!

Valentine's day is just around the corner, and I have created an adorable card that is sure to please just about anyone! This puffer fish is from the Under the Sea stamp set created by Market Street Stamps. When I saw this fish I just knew that it would be perfect for a kissing booth. The booth is from the Carousel Cricut cartridge. I modified the booth by cutting off the awning and replacing it with a rectangle piece of cardstock. The "fishy kisses" is from the Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge. This puffer fish is ready for Valentine's Day, and I hope my card will help you get ready too!

You're Such a Sweetie

Here is a card I made using Follow Your Heart and Simply Stitched Borders. These are two sets that I find myself using over and over again. They are so versatile!

I really like how I can use the different faux stitches to make up my own backgrounds. Mixing and matching them inspires so much creativity!
I then stamped the bird and the branch using Momento Ink, so I was able to color on the canvas with my Copics. You really have to use a light hand and be extremely careful with Copics on any fabric, as they tend to bleed very quickly. I start by coloring from the middle out, and take my time to see how far it seeps before I go on.

After I was done coloring, I used some dark brown thread to hand stitch a border around the tag. The sentiment is also from the Follow Your Heart set.

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed!!!
