Good Luck, Kary!

My sister, Kary, is running her 2nd marathon tomorrow!
It is the Midnight Sun Marathon, in Alaska.
Good luck, Kary!!
I know you can do it! YOU know you can do it!

If you can run like this . . . you can do anything
This girl has overcome Chronic-Fatigue Syndrome that plagued her for 3 years. It was the weirdest thing. She was a peppy gym teacher, and then . . . BAM! She was flat on her back, exhausted, and hardly able to do anything. I remember talking to her over the phone, and she would just be crying -- wondering how she was going to make it through another day. BUT, she did not lose hope. She overcame, and has become STRONGER THAN EVER!
She is an inspiration . . . proof that you can do anything!
Love you, Kary.

Best of luck tomorrow! Run a mile for me! :-)

You can do it! You WILL do it!
We love you!

Thank you for the encouragement Mari! It's time to Arise and shine forth! That has been the youth theme this year and I have tried to take it on personally as well. Every day we have the choice to get up and do something more, or lay around and be miserable. Yes, there are times we have limitations and need to allow our bodies to recover, etc, but there is always some good to get "up" for, right?

Please pray for cooler weather tomorrow. It is actually HOT here. I mean HOT. I ran 2 miles today slowly just to keep legs loose for tomorrow and I was sweaty upon my return. The marathon starts at 8am so it will be cool then, but around 11, it could heat up. Oh how I hope for overcast skies.

I'll return and report tomorrow night or Sunday.

LOVE YOU so much!!!!!
Thanks for taking the time to cheer me on. I need it!

One mile at a time. Just like life, one day at a time.

Love
Kary
