From Alaska to Idaho
I lived 20 years of my life in Anchorage, Alaska. It is a land of great diversity in both landscape and people. I am grateful that I was able to grow up in such an interesting place full of interesting people. It helped to build my character, give me greater perspective, and a better understanding of the big, big, world. I am also grateful to live in the lower 48 (as we Alaskans call it). I have throughly enjoyed traveling from state to state by car (and not plane!) and discovering new places and new people. We (Charles, myself, and our two children at the time) moved from Alaska to Washington, so Charles could attend Law School. We enjoyed 3 beautiful years living in Spokane, Washington -- one of my very favorite places. We then moved to Idaho, where Charles began his career, and we have been here ever since. Though I consider Alaska to be the home of my youth, and Spokane was one of the most enjoyable places I have lived -- I have come to feel at home here amongst the simplicity that is Idaho. I believe Idaho -- though it may lack in physical beauty -- makes up for it in the beauty of it's people. I have never met such fantastic people as those who dwell here in the great potato state. Because of the greatness of it's people . . . I believe Idaho will be our home for many years to come.
